Needed a bridesmaid dress altered 1 month before the wedding. Not only did they deliver the alterations on time as promised, the hem was excellent. They suggested that they add cups to the dress, so I didn't have to fuss about trying to find a good bra for the single-shoulder dress. Pricing was completely reasonable as well. They are called fast tailoring and they are, except perhaps during prom season which is understandable. But they will make every effort to accommodate you if you're in a hurry as I was. For hemming a pair of pants. I've been here before but this time I though a review was in order. They have been in this location for many many years. A family business with decades of experience. While I was there people were picking up dry cleaning and a groomsman was getting his pants adjusted while a bride getting a fitting. I'm no professional but that dress fit perfectly! read more

I have all of my pants done here over the last two years. Without fail the woman tells me how i want them is ridiculous. I pay for a service, not an opinion. I brought my wedding pants there because they do a good job. The woman was so rude and fought me every step of the way. She was supposed to hem, taper and take the pants in. They were not taken in and the legs are two totally different sizes, one so tight i can't get my leg all the way through. When i tried to put them on the hem started to fall out. They wouldn't even look at a dress I brought in to be hemmed/fitted for a wedding that's in 2.5 weeks (Sept. 16th). Just said they couldn't do it because it's not "enough time". No apology, no "let's look at it and see". Pretty rude and poor customer service. Definitely will not be going back. It's really not that hard to be nice to customers... I ended up going to Carmela's in Toms River on Fisher blvd and she was so sweet and said it would be ready for pickup on Tuesday (less than a week). read more

I went there sent from the business that I bought my daughters wedding gown from ( Nicole's) Never have I ever met ruder people, and don't know if is because this is specialty trade. Any way no place to sit and we had appointment place was jammed with people . There was no privacy for my daughter while they pin fitted the gown. Any suggestions my daughter had were shot down, saying we do this in one shot ( no second fitting etc). When they wee done they said cash only, and entire deposit ($200)has to be paid up front. They wanted us to leave the gown and go get cash and come back to pay. My daughter said she didn't want to leave the gown, with that she said we would have to take the pins out.. by now my daughter had no faith in this place and told them to take the pins out and we left. I left out when initial appointment was made the lady was the most disrespectful cocky rude women who owns this business. We would give it minus five stars if we could!! I wouldn't even give this place one star... Incredibly rude staff. I have tried to use Fast Tailoring twice, thinking maybe the first time was a fluke, staff was just having a bad day... NO. I was turned away twice, two separate times being told ( with attitude ) they are too busy to do it. The woman did not even look at the dress or ask for when I needed it. I just needed a hem... I walked in there today to get my lab coat resized because it was so huge on me, and they were so kind and were so willing to help me out. I was very impressed with how courteous they were and even though my lab coat won't be done until Friday... the fact that they are that busy, should tell you a lot about their service! :) I am confident my coat is in good hands. I'm reposting since this "most honorable" company had it deleted... This was pretty much the worst place I've ever walked into. What is supposed to be a customer service centric business, felt anything but. The piece de resistance is the seamstress Annah who was kind and talented. But she and the owner seem to never be on the same page - in fact, the owner seemed to not even want her in front of customers most of the time. The owner, May, who had a terrible cackle and tone, spoke rudely and didn't have ANY customer service. She once even complained about the amount of work - speaking about spending X on a gown and then X on the alterations. Why would you complain about the amount of alterations, when you're getting PAID for the work? it's not like the money you're charging goes back to us! Each time I walked in there I felt unwelcome and almost a nuisance. Don't even get me started on the decor. For a place that's welcoming brides and bridal gowns it felt dingy and dirty. The lighting - for a place where a bride will be trying on her dress several times - was terrible. I felt like I was in a warehouse, or worse. Been here twice. The first time I was treated absolutely horribly. Only by one person though, not sure what her name is, didn't care to find out. She was rude, and nasty, and made me feel like she was doing me a favor by hemming my dress for me. I thought it might have just been one of those times when you got somebody on a bad day. I went back a second time, to have a dress altered for a friend's wedding. They took the dress in too much. It fit, very snugly. I could wear it. But I couldn't eat drink or sit comfortably the whole night. It's also a very small shop, and there are always customers. So it's uncomfortable to be standing in front of strangers in a small place while you are having something altered. I don't recommend. read more

If I could I would give this place negative stars. Rude and awful owner, went in to get my dress done for a wedding I am going too and said I needed it by next week. She then looked at me like I was crazy and said "are you serious?, don't you know its prom season?" and then wrapped a tape measure around her neck and proceeded to say to her friend "wheres my gun". She then looked at my friend and said "oh are you with the annoying one" and then laughed. I will never ever come back here, they are so mean and awfully rude. They make you feel uncomfortable and like its a burden to get something done within a week. Never recommend this place to anyone. read more

May, the head tailor whom I also believe is the owner, is rude and crass. The first words she said to me were that my dress was pretty, but my tattoos didn't look good with it. They were the best. They fixed a Maid of Honor dress for me that was way too small. The first tailor I went to said there was nothing they could do. The dress wouldn't even zip half way. Fast Tailoring is Fast, but they sacrifice quality for speed. I'm very unhappy with the way my dress was altered. My gown went from being a beautiful gown to a dress once they got their hands on it. I was really surprised because word of mouth said they were pretty good. I would advise anyone looking for a tailor, even for minor alterations, to look elsewhere. Despite the mistake on their part, the owner attempted to make the mistakes my fault, and then attempted to lie that those "weren't her seams" when it was plainly obvious they were indeed her stitches.
