Ordered through Slice and was told that our order would be late and arrive between 11:55 and 12:05. At 12:25, when I called, I was told that the driver was out and making other deliveries. When I argued that the pizza would be cold was told that I had to take delivery of the pizzas. Got a call from the owner/manager and was told that our order would be remade and that we would be called when it was ready. To make up some time, I went to the store early. At 12:45 when I walked into the store, there was already one person waiting for their order. A second person walked in to await their order a few minutes later, followed by a couple a few minutes after that. At 1:10 when the first of the pizzas went into the over....yes I was watching, I had pretty much given up. Called the owner/manager after walking to the car with my order at 1:20. Worst pizza experience I have had period. I wanted to surprise my family with heart shaped pizzas for Valentine's Day (yesterday). After seeing pictures of heart shaped pizzas from this place on Yelp, I decided to place my order from here. I ordered 2 medium heart shaped pizzas and had placed my order online about 1.5 hours before I needed them. My pizzas arrived about 15 minutes early and I was so excited to show my co-workers. Well, only 1 of the 2 pizzas looked somewhat like a heart; however, it looked like a small instead of a medium. Take a look at the picture I posted. No red pepper flake packets or parmesan cheese packets were given and grease was leaking outside of both boxes. In additional to the grease, the bottom of one box and the top of one box was smeared with tomato sauce. In terms of flavor, the oblong shaped pizza was good. There were plenty of toppings and even though the box was filled with grease, the pizza was not greasy at all. No comment on the other pizza since I didn't try it. read more

I have to say when I ordered I wasn't expecting much because I just moved from Chicago. Ironically enough, where I picked to live is surrounded by nothing but pizza places. When I called to order, on the other end the young lady was very polite and friendly. She told me that the pizza would be there in 45 minutes to an hour. The pizza literally came 20 minutes later. I was actually really surprised, but I guess they do live up to their name. When I opened the box, the pizza looked delicious. The crust was perfectly golden, the cheese was melted nicely, and they were ample ingredients on every single slice. It tasted really good as well. It is definitely way better than several of the regional chains that you might choose from. I will definitely be going back. in order to justify not giving fast pizza five stars, it is not the "down-right absolute best pizza " I've ever had my life, but it was very good. I placed an order online via Yelp for delivery. 90 minutes later, still no pizza. I call the restaurant and the person on the phone informs me that they won't drive this far and to cancel my order with Grubhub. He refused to deliver the pizza regardless of their error. I called Grubhub customer service to complain and they refunded my money. I asked to file a complaint and Grubhub wouldn't help me any further. I am giving them a 1 star rating because they weren't helpful, they shouldn't accept orders in the areas they won't deliver to, they should have canceled the order immediately if they won't deliver it, and finally, they should have notified me immediately so I could order elsewhere. read more

But since posting them five months ago: (1) I've visited a few times in person; FPD has a bright clean retail store-front operation in a small commercial mall near downtown MV, set up to accommodate delivery and pick-up more than sit-down dining, much like competitor Papa John's. (2) I ordered some FPD pizzas in advance, for a block party attended by the whole City Council, and (not to suggest any improper official endorsements here, of course) the pizzas vanished briskly, implicit unofficial praise. (One Council member, met for the first time, had kind things to say about a comprehensive local pizzerias article I'd written earlier for print.) (3) Another delivery order on an early Friday evening beat the standing record by arriving scarcely 15 minutes after end of phone call. I track pizza delivery times. FPD routinely matches the standing record of 16-17 minutes sustained by Amici's for 10 years and less consistently by Round Table, Zpizza, and Papa John's, all at similar distance; but 15 minutes or less is phenomenal, given that FPD's pizzas have also been very conscientiously made and of consistently solid quality for a mainstream style. (More consistent quality than Papa John's and possibly Round Table, excelled only by Amici's which is however 30-40% more expensive, being a non-mainstream, premium small pizza chain.) So 4 stars now. FPD's quality has been steady, the delivery execution reliably tops out of considerable local experience in recent years. Here's the deal...I love pizza. Pretty much any kind of pizza...even "bad" pizza I've had, I can manage to get through and get some sense of enjoyment out of. In all 26 years of my life, i've never had a pizza so bad that I wouldn't eat it. .....Until Fast Pizza Delivery I'm not even sure this was pizza. I can't even be sure this wasn't actually rubber hidden by melted cheese trying to be passed off as pizza. There were several other pizza places I could have gone to, including pizza hut or papa johns, but I decided that since I was in a new place for business, i'd try something that I couldn't get at home. With the reviews comparing it to other chain pizza places, I figured I couldn't go wrong. well guess what. I was WRONG. IT was WRONG. the pizza was just so damn wrong! A greasy, melty, rubbery mess is what it was. I even ordered their hot wings just in case I wanted a little something extra....one bite and I spit that grizzled mess out and called it a night. No, this isn't a gourmet pizza shop like Doppio Zero or Blue Line, but the pizza is always fresh, hot, good crust, ingredients and the pricing is decent. I wanted to give it 3 stars because it's on par with Dominos BUT the toppings are fresh and recognizable and it's a mom & pop place so it will always win my love. They offer the lowest price on delivered pizza in the area too... and they're FAST, duh. The heavy topping pizzas should be cooked just a bit longer because the veggies are still too crisp for my taste. The crust tastes great and the sauce is just right. The two times I've ordered from them I tried to have a snapple delivered and got a call saying they were out. I don't drink carbonated drinks or high fructose corn syrup so soda was not a good replacement for me. Either I need to stop trying to order snapple or they need to take if off their ordering menu. Don't be a dongle-head and order a salad and then write a one star review because your $3 salad wasn't exactly Chez Pannise quality. I've been a big fan of Pizza Hut for years. However, when I saw an AD for Fast Pizza that was almost 1/2 the price of Pizza Hut, I couldn't resist giving them a chance. I was satisfied with the results. Therefore, Fast Pizza is now my default pizza delivery service. They are, well, fast, and they are cheap. And they don't charge extra for delivery. I don't like their pizzas, but my husband does :) They are too greasy for me and I believe the quality of the ingredients they use is not the best (you can tell it is cheap ham, canned pineapple etc.) Also they put big chunks (of onion, ham, etc); I prefer when it is more finely chopped and when the mushrooms or onions are sauteed, not just raw and cooked in an oven. If you like a thicker, sauce and cheese laden pie, or perhaps need a break from all the crunchy wood fired yuppie pie out there, pick up the phone and summon the Fast Pizza Guy. I would put them right up there with Maldonaldo's and perhaps a half notch about Frankie, Johnie and Louigis - both serve roughly the same type of pie but the devil is in the details. Locals take: It's Fast Pizza! Not fresh pizza... Fast Pizza! I go to Fast Pizza when I need fast pizza. Sometimes I'm looking for substance not quality and they serve this need. The dough is frozen in back. They apply sauce cheese and toppings to a frozen crust. It takes about 10 mins for a large pizza to bake. This leaves the core of the pizza lacking, which is soft/crunchy crust. The sauce has a little zest to it, so it gains points. Still good though!!!! Take away: its decent for the price and quick bake, but not great pizza. Save yourself a few bucks ($3 savings on a large) if you want a Hawaiian Pizza order it as a two topping Canadian bacon and pineapple, not Hawaiian. Hawaiian has extra cheese, but it's not worth the extra cost. read more

I've always, always enjoyed the quality of service and delivery time of Fast Pizza. I can honestly say, it is by far my favorite local joint to order from. As was mentioned before, yes, the man has an accent--though personally, I've never found it to be rude or "pissed off" sounding, then again, most accents I find quite charming. The phone service has always been polite and prompt and their delivery people are also very nice. I enjoy the specials that they offer and it is worth every penny, bite after delicious bite. If you don't receive their doorknob fliers, give them a call and just ask about their daily specials, and they'll gladly give you the details. As for the pizzas...YUMMY!
