This place is a really cool mix of cafe, bar and restaurant. The food menu is really diverse and very affordable. Nothing over €10 and very reasonably priced. I came here last night to watch football (soccer) drink coffee and there just popped up a wicked live cover band. I came back with a friend for dinner and tried the seafood risotto and it was delish. Simple, tasty and at €8 euro what more can you ask for when sitting on a patio on a beautiful summer night. I would definitely recommend coming here for a drink, a coffee, and a meal. Try all three when you're in town!

Last night (10/21/2024) during my…read moresecond visit there the owner's brother in law, who I had never met before (Fiorenzo, picture included), asked to join me at my table because I was traveling alone. He was very drunk, but the beginning of the conversation was friendly. He listed off the multiple restaurants his family owned in the village. About 10 minutes into the conversation he started attempting to feed me and hug me, making vulgar comments to me and offering me sex, so I told him he was making me uncomfortable. He became angry and left. I attempted to pay inside and the waiter told me the bill had already been taken care of. At this point Fiorenzo returned and started shouting at me that he never said anything inappropriate to me, he does not want me or need me for sex. A tourist couple who had seen and heard the entire exchange offered to walk me back to my room, which was not in the central part of town. We realized Fiorenzo was following us. He began yelling that I had to come back and pay, he does not appreciate me telling people bad things about him because he is a good man. I began crying out of fear and was in a complete panic. The tourist couple ran Fiorenzo off. I returned to the restaurant offering to pay again. I explained the circumstance to the owner and employees, asking them to please help me. They simply stared at me while I cried, then allowed Fiorenzo to hover over me and whisper into my ear, "you won this time, but there is something deeply sick inside of you that we must fix." I ran from him and finally the owner states he will take care of it, then calls a family member. I was able to make it to my room safely while the tourists made sure he did not follow me again. Within an hour I could see Fiorenzo from my balcony, circling the area he had last followed me to. Clearly the owner and family took care of nothing. I wish I had called police, but now I can at least share this warning with other visitors of the Cinque Terre. Do not engage with this man in the picture, and if you choose to visit Bar Centrale or the adjoining restaurants, be aware of the management you're supporting. Many other reviews have mentioned issues with the owner. I've even found reviews stating the owner ignored women reporting that a waiter groped them. Locals in town were able to identify Fiorenzo for me and provide a picture, and they did not seem surprised by his actions. The experience that occurred at Bar Centrale last night was extremely scary and I believe it would have become dangerous if these tourists had not stepped in to help. The owner simply watched and allowed it all to happen.

We got the house red wine, the three of a kind bruscetta, cheese and cold cuts plate, and the anchovies plate, and everything was so tasty! We were especially surprised about the anchovies, as neither of us likes them, but we liked these so much we got more. Most notably, the owner (and bar tender, and chef) was incredibly fun to talk to! He recommended really good things and kept us company. Terza Terra is the perfect restaurant for that. We took the stairs down from the alleyway to the patio. Terza Terra also has a bar that is totally separate and does not have the views.
