My wife and I visited this location and bought a toy for her, photo attached. Upon checking out the cashier tested it and it worked fine. When we attempted to use it it did not work. We tried recharging it and it would still not turn on. We brought the product back to the store for assistance. All she would say was that she could not help me and I would need to contact the maker on the box. It shows it has a 5 yr warranty, but it is impossible to locate the manufacturer. I bought a "Magic Wand Original" for my GF believing it to be the original magic wand made by Hitachi. Turns out Hitachi stopped manufacturing the wand in 2012 and Vibratex has taken over by making a much more inferior product. When I called the lady who answered had very few answers. Let me preface this by saying: I'm writing this review as someone who works full time as a SWer, and has been to fascinations maybe four or five times now. (Sorry it's a bit of a novel, lol) I won't deny that their selection is truly very impressive and extensive; I appreciate how attentive and thoughtful the staff always is when I'm here, which is a big part (to me) of helping relieve some of the general anxieties that can occur when in an adult shop. (I get overwhelmed sometimes, and never want to ask anyone questions that might make either of us uncomfortable, so it's reassuring when they ask *me* if I have questions!) However, I'm genuinely shocked that fascinations does not offer industry discount to all s*x w*rkers, especially to those of us who...well, have sex for a living. When approached with this question, I was informed that they only offer industry discount to dancers, and require proof of licensing to acquire said discount. I have a lot of feelings about this (forcing a sex worker to show you legal documentation of their government name for 15/20% off of a very small selection of "dance" wear is.....weird...to say the least.), but my biggest question is: why would you alienate those who would frequent your business and benefit from this the most? The woman working said it was because "there are so many onlyfans girls, it would be too much, and we need to verify somehow".....Are those not also sex workers? What's the purpose of forcing someone to verify? I've frequented many adult stores all over the country and never once been asked for anything requiring information that disregards my personal safety. If your concern is people abusing this policy, perhaps consider familiarizing yourselves with any of the adult stores nationwide who are able to enforce these discounts, for adult workers, without endangering clientele. When I first started visiting (at least 10 years ago), I was a little shy and felt embarrassed about being in the place. At first, they would ask if I needed any assistance and when I declined their offer they were really good at leaving me alone to do my own browsing and shopping. As time went on, I continued to visit this location and began feeling a bit more open about why I was there or what I needed. I remember a time when I was looking for condoms and the partner I had didn't like them. I asked for some help and it was a gentleman staff member who was assisting me. He helped me find a brand and type of condom that ended up becoming my partner's favorite. The staff member actually opened one up for me right there, let me feel how thin it was, proceeded to stick his hand inside and stretched it over his shoulder to assure me that his arm was likely "bigger" than my guy and it would definitely fit. This was back in 2009 and I won't ever forget that moment :) These days, I have no problem asking for advice or asking the staff what they might recommend for whatever it is that I am looking for. I have turned a few of my lady friends on to this place as well and try to encourage them to interact with the staff if they have any questions. I cannot stress how this place really removes all judgement for their customers. It really is a special skill. I believe this location has the best variety of products available from toys, lingerie, movies you name it, they probably have it. I see that the web sight no longer works. Seconds after starting the sight a different company takes over and there is no way to see the fascinations sight. I used the sight for questions and coupons. With out the sight Fascinations is no longer competitive. I believe that the reason for not fixing the sight or answering my phone messages and text messages ( over 4 months ) is due to the business going under.
