Earlier this week I had my sugaring appointment. I arrive to the Brea location and I get the text to respond that Im there. I respond and Im waiting patiently for someone to open the door. Im looking at the window and am noticing there are no hours posted for Sunday (the day I went). Hard to see but then I notice all the lights are off. Weird?? I look back at my texts and see that I booked for the Santa Ana location and not the Brea location. THEN I call the Santa Ana location and Lesly picks up. I told her I was at the wrong location and asked if she would still take me if I came right now and she said yes. My original appointment was at 12pm and she said she can squeeze me in at 1245pm. THEN I drove to the Santa Ana location. Thank goodness she said 1245pm because I got there at 1230 driving around looking for parking. I had never been in that area before. ***The door is unlocked and I go in and I am greeted by Lesly. She told me where to go and to prep myself. Now, I will say the room I was in had a weird smell. Not a nasty smell but like an old building smell. Lesly gets to sugaring me and honestly the pain level was 2-3/10. Also, Lesly is so cool. Professional and flexible. It really felt like a friend was servicing me. We talked about the world cup, Love Island, and others things I can't remember because I took too long to write this review! I was out of there within 15 minutes. She also recommended me a coffee shop as I asked her what was good in that area. This location is really out of the way but honestly I would probably come here again just because of the service!

My mom and I both got full‑face threading, but the girls who worked on us clearly didn't know what they were doing. I even told her that I didn't feel the hairs being pulled out while she was threading, but she ignored my concerns, same with my mom. When we got home, the hair on my face was still there. It honestly feels like I paid for nothing. They finished a full face in less than 10 minutes, which has never happened at any other threading place I've been to. My daughter also got her eyebrows done, and they gave her a horrible shape. I would never come back and would not recommend this place to anyone. I have paid a total of $102 for the worst service ever. This place has changed ownership, and the girls who used to work here are no longer there, and it really shows.

We booked the appointment but she would not answer my questions. I kept repeating myself asking how much the price would be for a brow lamination and tint, as a response she kept saying "thank you, we will see you soon" that was so frustrating, i just hung up. I did walk in and got checked in. Sam sat me the chair immediately. She did not perform a consultation at all! I work in the beauty industry for a living for over 4 years now, for EVERY new client or new appointment you should ALWAYS perform a consultation. The lamination burnt me which i would assume its normal but I noticed an open wound on my arch after the service which is not normal. Sam also did not consult with me what color I wanted or what shape I wanted, when i asked what she was applying or what shape we were creating she told me a certain brown and kept telling me not to worry about it. Kept dismissing me. As the service comes to an end, my brows are so black, and my lamination is so uneven. I came here to relax after a hard day but this ended up being the cherry on top of it. I honestly should've left, I didnt want to pay, i was so devastated with how terrible my brows looked. After I came home i was crying. I called after asking for my brows to be fixed by a different person, they refused saying it would only damage more of my hairs, understandable. When I asked for a refund at least they told me no. And said they would give my information to the owner. Now Im personally representing Nike on my face and i dont know how long i will have to look like this for. (I just found out I have Covid). I attempted to reschedule through Vagaro, but because my appointment was less than six hours away, the system would not allow me to do so. I called the salon and was informed by a staff member that I would be charged a $10 cancellation fee despite being sick and wanting to reschedule rather than cancel outright. Since my service was only an underarm wax, the fee amounted to approximately 40% of the total service cost. I asked whether an exception could be made given the circumstances, but was told it was the "manager's policy." The response felt very scripted and lacked any empathy for the situation. I ultimately agreed to pay the fee, but asked that the manager be informed they had lost a customer over $10. Unfortunately, the experience became even more disappointing. The manager, Sarah, called me after I had already explained that I was sick and wanted to discuss the situation. I was really not feeling well and did not appreciate receiving a call to discuss this further. I told the manager that, because I wasn't feeling well, the only discussion I was interested in having was whether the cancellation fee would be refunded. Instead of addressing my concern, Sarah ended the call abruptly by HANGING UP ON ME. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, but customer service and compassion matter. A little flexibility for a client who woke up sick and was trying to reschedule, not avoid paying, would have gone a long way. Instead, I was charged a fee that represented a significant portion of the service cost and was treated in a way that ensured I won't be returning. If you book here, just be aware that if you wake up sick on the day of your appointment, you should expect the cancellation fee to be enforced regardless of the circumstances.

She is not only a phenomenal waxer, she is one of the most amazing people I know. When I got an at home wax kit to try to wax my upper lip myself, I struggled sooo much. I told Katie and she went over a couple tips and tricks at the end of my appointment that saved me from throwing $25 in the trash. Katie is so friendly and kind. She was told that a new California law requires a 20% tip to be added when paying with a card, and there was also an additional $3.50 charge for debit card users. Had we known about these fees beforehand, we would have brought cash. Based on my understanding, the explanation regarding the mandatory 20% tip did not seem accurate. I am happy to leave a generous tip when service is exceptional, but I do not believe customers should be required to pay a 20% gratuity, especially when they are dissatisfied with the quality of the service they received. While this visit was disappointing, I want to acknowledge that previous experiences here have been very positive. I hope management addresses these concerns to ensure future customers have a better experience.
