The negatives... Paid $23 for 6 macaroon's and an iced coffee. The macaroons were leftover and not fresh. They were likely made in house, but even more likely to have been frozen for an extended amount of time then thawed to be served. This left them with a freezer burnt taste and very hard to chew. I bought 3 flavors, took one bite of each to compare, and ended up throwing them all away. If they had been fresh made, I guarantee they would have been delicious. Five stars for the coffee and ambiance. 2 stars for price and bakery items. Splitting the difference to give this place 3 stars and would potentially try it again just for the coffee.

The friendly faces and the warm smiles that greet you are truly one of a kind. I went there for breakfast with my sister, and the homemade apple danish was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a coffee and it was delivered with a smile, and they ask if you want cream or sugar right at the counter. They also have a coffee kiosk area, where you can add your own cream and sugar. We were able to sit inside for as long as we wanted, and our server, Stephanie, came over to make sure that my coffee was hot and asked if I wanted a refresher. You have to understand that this is not a full restaurant, but a beautiful bakery that serves breakfast and lunch items for Pick-Up or eat in as they have tables available, but it is not a large place. The sign on the door was flipped to "open" (see attached pic). I went in and was informed upon entering that they closed at 4. They were very nice about it but they were in the process of cleaning. That's why it's tough for me to leave this review. From what I could tell, it's a nice place. It seems like a lot of love has gone into creating a cute little shop. The cafe looks like a little house on the corner, but the inside has been beautifully updated into a large open area with natural lighting gleaming through the windows. The focal point is a long beautiful counter. It reminded me of counters you would have seen in grocery stores, pharmacies, or 5 and dime stores in the early 20th century. The other things to catch my eye were bthe table game set up, merchandise from local vendors, games scattered throughout, high top tables in the back, a big comfy looking couch and local art. I got the sense that Blue Market 42 was more than just coffee, but a place to socialize, relax, and to be part of the community. Blue Market 42 serves Jittery Joe's Coffee.
