I wasn't as excited about the food that we ordered . I got the smoked beet salad and added the pecan chicken. The salad was drenched with dressing I would ask for the dressing on the side. I didn't care for a flavor in the salad maybe it was the smokiness... honestly, the chicken was a little dry as well. My friend got the prosciutto Burrata pizza and honestly, the burrata a little too moist for the pizza it makes it soggy. The crest looked like it was good before the Burrata was placed on the pizza . Maybe we just picked the wrong items. They're both a salad and the pecan chicken got good reviews on other yelp reviews.... My other friend really liked her turkey sandwich and her fries were good . First time at this location, and I will say, I'm a bit disappointed. We would frequent the CV location, but we noticed the service started to go downhill. We loved the food, so we tried the La Mesa location after the CV location rebranded. Service here was also poor. We were seated right away, but it took about 30 mins until our server even came to bring us water. We were also sat with unwashed silverware, which was disheartening. Server gave us our food, and never came back. We had to ask another server to bring our check. We got our usuals - farmer salad add steak & breakfast burger - and my salad was good! Consistently good at both locations. The breakfast burger....not so much. The egg was literally so small, and we understand the crisis with egg prices but it was extremely disappointing. With our experience with the staff, It wasn't worth the fight trying to ask for more/new egg. read more

The staff has alway been nice and pleasent. Overall it's a nice place, since it's open there are natural elements to contend with. I ordered the Carnitas Omelette (5/5) and my partner got the Short Ribs Benedict (5/5). A lot of our friends got the Jambalaya (2/5) and thought that dish fell short. She ordered the Chilaquiles (with a few extras added) and a Mexican Hot Chocolate, which she absolutely loved. We also grabbed a grilled cheese with fries for the kids off the children's menu only $8, and it came on fresh sourdough with perfectly crispy fries. I ordered the Birria Omelette with house potatoes and sourdough toast hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully plated. The café itself has that true farmhouse charm, with rustic décor and even a full-size tractor out front such a fun touch! There's plenty of space inside and out, making it great for everything from family breakfasts to business meetings or even a romantic brunch date. I've been going to Farmers Table in La Mesa for quite awhile, and it's definitely a favorite brunch spot for my husband and I (though they also have good dinner options). The decor is charming! The go-to for my husband is their bananas foster French toast. He gets it almost every time. It has big slices of banana and comes with lots of syrup and whipped cream. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend it! This time I tried out their divorciados. I loved the texture of the crunchy tortias smothered in different sauces. It could have used a bit more porkbelly for the price, but it was delicious. My mother in law got the blueberry pancakes, which she had no complaints about and took the leftovers home. We were sat outside, which was lovely this time of year. The staff are always very friendly, even when it gets overwhelmingly busy. I tend to prefer outdoors, as inside can get a little loud as the brunch crowd settles in. read more

The locally sourced organic ingredients really shine in the thoughful dishes here. I enjoyed the charcoal octopus, nicely seared with a cauliflower puree and delicious chimichirri sauce. We came in here for dinner last night after the Farmers Market and and had a really nice time. I ordered the Ricotta Stuffed Gnocchi. I'm trying to not use foul language anymore and that's difficult to do when describing how good this was. Let's just say it was very, very good. We ended up getting kind of lost in conversation at the table and didn't realize we were the last people there. The server never rushed us. It was very kind of him. I must admit I was a bit nervous about finding parking because it can be tricky in that area. They had a parking lot behind the restaurant. Went last night with some mom friends and we had a great experience! Decor and ambiance were very unique and farm fun - even the glassware were nice touches. Service was the best I had in a very long time anywhere! Our server was fantastic, kind, super funny and patient! He made our well deserved night out that much better! He deserves a bonus :) All wait staff were very nice and welcoming! We went for the happy hour menu and chose chicken pesto pizzas, which were yummy, especially loved the crust. This is our second visit here. There is a small parking lot in the back or you can park on the meter street parking. We came for Sunday breakfast 9am. The restaurant was not busy at arrival. The ambiance is "Farmer" rustic casual. Great for all ages. They have a nice selection to choose from for breakfast. I gave 4 stars because the chicken in the Chicken Waffle seemed to me a frozen chicken patty like the ones served in school lunches. I was not a fan. I have been here for dinner a couple of times and it was great! I came for brunch for the first time today, the service was terrible and the food was not much better. Our server was mostly absent, the big brunch rush was already cleared out and the lunch crowd had not arrived yet. Our drinks came after our food and probably only because I tracked down a manager to ask for it. My omelette was cold and the cheese was congealed by the time I got it. Very large place so if there is a wait it is never long and you can make reservations on Yelp. The alcohol lemonades are a must they are super large and great value. The blueberry pancakes are my favorite, not too sweet. I also got the Mexican Bowl which was eggs, rice, beans, avocado, breakfast potatoes and salsa. Was absolutely amazing. Everything was separated on the plate and you could mix in as much as you want. Great option I would get again. The waffle share platter is massive made for 4-6 people. We had brunch here with 10 people for my brother's graduation, first of all, making a reservation is so dang easy. The staff were super helpful. The food was fantastic, the only thing the table didn't love was the steak and eggs omelette, it was super dry, and basically flavorless. Other than that everything was delicious, divorciados was yum, French toast was fluffy, avocado toast hit the spot, birria omelette cooked to perfection, a yummy turkey sandwhich and eggs Benedict. Not gonna lie I love their toast, whatever sourdough they use or make is chefs kiss . The bloody Mary's were the next big hit, pictured is the butcher block, and the amount of meat on this thing did not disappoint. Some of the table had the Ragin' Cajun which was also fantastic, the mix for the bloody Mary's was so balanced with a nice kick, one of the best I have ever had. I do have to say on a Saturday morning it was busy and SUPER loud. It was like they were trying to play the music louder than anyone could talk. That is my one complaint, it was giving me a headache, even outside was loud. But our food was brought out in maybe 15 minutes, like so fast for a large group, and it was hot.
