Taking down the last of 4 trees.
Kaleena B.

Dixon and his entire crew at Farmer Tree Care have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Beyond the price being fair, they were always on time, completed exactly what was in the bid and the communication was spot on. I would absolutely hire them again and again if we had any trees left to take down, lol! And I will absolutely recommend them to all my friends and community! Thank you for all the HARD work we so appreciate everything you did in our backyard.

My tree has been at this height for 6 weeks. Still waiting for this removal to be done. Beware of 6 weeks and counting for 1 tree removal.

I am in process of working with Farmer Tree Care to have a tree removed. 1 tree. I have tried to be patient, but am beyond frustrated. The work has been ongoing (meaning, I have parts of the tree still unremoved) 6 weeks after the work started. I have had wood left in my yard, sawdust on my roof, and my fence still disassembled since the start of the job 6 weeks ago. For 1 tree this is completely unacceptable. For additional context, here is the timeline: Oct 12 - Farmer Tree Care Cancelled the job on the day it was confirmed to start. The only way I knew it was canceled was by calling / emailing after they didn't show up at the 9AM scheduled time. BUT - they rescheduled the work to start date to Oct 21 Oct 21 - Tree work began. (and as I said above, It has been ongoing since then, 6 weeks for 1 tree!) Nov 24 - Farmer tree team confirmed that crew would come today (Mon Nov 29) to do the final work. Nov 29 - No show today to remove the final large chunks of the trunk. Today I've gotten no communication at all after multiple attempts. I was told at one point that my job was deprioritized due to emergency work - which of course I understand. But now I am officially tired of this being unfinished. I give 2 stars because Dixon treats his guys with a lot of respect. There is clearly a positive team dynamic, which is really nice to see. But the business / logistics side of this business is so bad that, based on my own experience and frustration, I simply cannot recommend this tree business. At this point I'm not really expecting them to come back, but you never know. If you choose this business, I hope you have a better experience than I have.

I've had 4 other tree business come to my home for work and none of them finished the job or ever made me feel satisfied with the work completed. Farmer Tree Care changed all that for us. They definitely set the standard in tree care services. They were professional and honest. They came with all the necessary tools to complete the job. Came prepared and were very skilled compared to other businesses I went with before. I will only trust Farmer Tree Care to work at my home for any tree work in the future and I highly recommend them for anyone else. Big or small or having to work in tight spaces with large trees, they can do it!!

They cut the wood in the right size which is easier for the people who pick up the wood.

Five stars, no question. I've lived in this house in Redmond for 25 years and have hired more tree…read morecompanies than I can count to manage the 30+ large trees on my property. Eastside Tree Works is, by a wide margin, the best of all of them. The experience started before they even did any work. The salesman who came out for the estimate showed up with an iPad, walked the entire property with me, took photos and video of each tree, tagged the ones we discussed, and had a detailed estimate ready before he left. He clearly knew what he was talking about and took real time to talk through what would work best for the trees and the house, not just push a generic package. When he found out I was a military veteran, he knocked a nice discount off the price without me even asking. The crew that came to do the work was just as impressive. A full team showed up with a large bucket lift and worked through limbing up several big Douglas firs, doing conifer cleaning, and taking down two medium-sized trees. They moved like a team that's worked together for years, communicated constantly, and checked in with me more than once while they were up in the trees to make sure they were limbing to the height I wanted rather than just guessing. When I mentioned my chainsaw had been giving me trouble, they took the time to fix it on the spot. What really sealed it was the cleanup. After 25 years of tree work at this house, I've never had a crew leave the property looking better than when they found it, but that's exactly what happened here. If you need tree work done in the Redmond/Eastside area, stop looking and call Eastside Tree Works. Professional, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and genuinely good people to have on your property. I would highly recommend them!

We opted to split the work between two companies who replied. Eastside Tree Works is one of the two companies; they were hired to crown-reduce/windsail/shape a flowering plum and a katsura tree. I waited to write the review to see how the trees recover and regrow. The quoting and initial process was very smooth and professional. Their response is fast for both the initial meet-up and providing the quote. Everything was done on their iPad, and quotes sent soon after. The task was also completed quickly. The task isn't significant, and they readily came and finished. The clean-up details are excellent. When done, I observed the flowering plum looked shapely but the katsura looked like a bad haircut. They agreed to come out and trim a stray branch that stuck out compared to the rest of the katsura crown. The katsura never regained a normal tree crown shape. It still looks like a bad haircut will a divot, v-shape at the top. See photo. The flowering plum is growing perfectly well this new spring season. Their cost is competitive.

I called Zach Hamilton on a Sunday and he was at my house within 2 hours to walk my property and give me an estimate! He was booked out over 2 weeks but managed to fit me in if I was ok with early morning that Tuesday. The crew showed up on time, excited to get started and immediately climbed the tree and allowed me to select what branches I wanted to remove from each tree. Their climber was unbelievably skilled, able to swing out and meticulously prune all the trees we were working on. They chipped everything, raked and cleaned up the entire property and backpack blew off all surfaces. I buy and flip homes so I schedule this type of work several times a year and I now have my GO TO for tree work moving forward! Couldn't be more thankful to have him on my team moving forward!

His pricing was very reasonable, and we were even able to work out some on-site decisions together at a fair cost. I'd definitely work with him again for any future tree needs.
