I like their food but was quite surprised to see that their Honey Dijon Chicken Sandwich has been replaced with a plain Charbroiler Chicken Sandwich. Went to Farmer Boys on a Friday night at around 7:00. Seating wasn't too bad, I ordered "The big Cheese" combo for $7.90. The order surprisingly took longer than average. Which makes me question, Why can't they make the meal the same speed as the drive through?. The Burger wait definitely paid off though, because the combo I ordered was really good! I've been here many times with my family and have had pretty decent experiences but tonight was absolutely horrible! My husband and I were in the drive thru and we gave our order, we got to the window and we were helped by Maricrus (name on receipt and on name tag) she took our money owed (about $15) and when she came back to give us our change she wouldn't even look at us. She stuck her hand through the window and just said a short "here" all the time looking and talking to someone else in the store. We waited a good 5-8 minutes and I was fully prepared to wait because they cook your food when you order, or so I thought. We only live 5 minutes from the restaurant and when we got home we sat down to eat immediately. Our food was cold, not hot and fresh like it normally is, you could tell it had been sitting for a while. Our French fries were also cold and had no salt added. I was incredibly disappointed with the service my husband and I received. I work in customer service so I know how hard people can be on workers when they don't deserve it and I try to refrain from posting negative comments but this experience definitely needed to be brought to attention and needs to be corrected. Terrible customer service, taking orders like we owed them something. This is just like every other fast food places and no more than that level. No smiles or thank you. "Next" is what you will be asked when it is your turn that they will perform like they are there to do you a favor by taking your order. We are not new customers but regular mostly twice a week but not anymore. Foods are not as good and hot as it used to be. Forks and spoons are not well washed. I really didn't know what to make of this place when it first came to town. Tried the drive through a few times. Pretty good. But where they really excel is inside, at breakfast. My family has gone several times now, and they have been consistent every time. The service stands out compared to other "fast food" places. You get a greeting, friendly, helpful order taking, and then plenty of follow up to make sure your order is good, you have what you need, your coffee is filled. We always leave a tip since the service stands out. And the food really is great - better than many of the sit-down breakfast places in town, and certainly a far far cry from places like McD's. I don't know what happened to this place. I've gone here before and ordered the same thing. The staff was nice, but the cook must really stink. It wasn't so much the mere fact that I had found something in the midst of my food and had to return it, but my hash brown was disgusting. At first glance I wondered why it was cut so neatly as if it had been pre-made, but as I ate it the potato/hash tasted really old. It was mush and old and tasteless. I did my best to cover up the bad taste with ketchup and hot sauce, but the potato itself was old and nasty. I don't think I'll be going there anymore. They do a lot of cleaning which is good, but they need better chefs working the kitchen. The poor staff was embarrassed when I brought my plate back, but why should they be when it's the chef and he staff who work in the kitchen who deserve to feel ashamed. read more

I usually alway's love Farmers Boy's but last night I placed an order in the drive up window placed my order the young women gave me a couple choices during my order. I got to the drive up window gave the young women my coupon and my cc and she came back and said the couple wasn't good for what I ordered, I am thinking she's the one that gave me the choices, then she gave me the coupon back, I started to give her another couple for $ off my entire order but she had closed the drive up window, so I honked my car horn to get her attention but she ran my cc. As she returned my receipt and cc I tried to give her my other couple but she called another young person over to talk to me and that young women as really kinda ugly acting , she pretty much said it's too late to use another coupon even though I did honked my car horn, yelled but did not get her attention. I was very unhappy with the customer service this night and to say the least, I will not use the drive up window ever again. Went here today. It wasn't terrible but I would go elsewhere before I ever came here again. If I was on a long drive and had to stop to eat I would consider it. I live in the country 25 miles out of Fresno and occasionally make a shopping trip into town. Usually pick up some food at one of the many places available. Today we had planned to go to In n Out but went to a store close to this and gave it a try. The burger has no structure. They throw the contents on the bun and leave it to you to arrange them. The three pickle slices were piled in a stack. The onions were sliced in varying sizes from crumbs to 1 inch sticks. The lettuce was three leafs in random shapes and sizes thrown on the bun in random fashion sticking out and half on half off the bun. All veggies were fresh looking. The meat patty seemed to lack any real flavor.The bun was a little better than many I have seen. The condiments and napkins on the table are a nice touch. Service was pretty good. I don't expect to be back soon. The breakfasts look interesting perhaps I'll give them a try someday. Bland uninteresting food, decent service, comfortable dining area. I 100% recommend this place to anyone in the Fresno/Clovis area. My family and I love going to Farmer Boys. The burgers are delicious and they use real bacon, not like a lot of other restaurants that just use a couple of super thin slices. The food is filling, too. Their ingredients are delightfully fresh. They also serve breakfast all day and that makes them an outstanding alternative to McDonald's. The location is great and has easy access to parking. Farmer Boys also has a drive-thru window if you do not have time to sit in. Maybe the best thing about them is their loyalty program.
