This review is for their passport photo services…read more A little story: We needed a passport photo for my 1 year old. We thought the hardest part would be getting her to be still, not actually finding a place to do it. Even though The post office says on their website that they do passport photos, the leave out that there is an age cap on those photos. They pointed us across the street to a pharmacy in north riverdale who had a passport photo set up. Unfortunately, they couldn't lower the white screen and clearly didn't know much about babies as they kept suggested we prop our daughter up on our hand. She is too wobbly and heavy for such a feat. He attempted laying her on the ground, looking up, which unsurprisingly didn't work. Defeated, my husband and I headed home but the "passport photo" sign on Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy caught our eye. So I dropped my hubby off and walked over with my daughter. There was no sense at all that we were inconveniencing the staff their by asking to do an infant photo shoot. They were flexible, patient, And super creative to get what we needed. Inside is also so nice and clean and inviting. I highly recommend that if you need a passport photo for a we one (or anyone else) that you come here!!

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy…read more When you pick up medication in person, the staff is courteous and professional. That part deserves acknowledgment. However, my experience with their delivery service has been consistently problematic, and at this point, unacceptable. I will not mention names, but the delivery drivers they outsource to are unreliable, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I've experienced repeated delivery issues, including false claims that my address was incorrect, despite the fact that they have delivered to this same address before, albeit with ongoing problems. What makes this worse is the timing. There is an incoming snowstorm, and instead of clear communication or accountability, I'm receiving inaccurate information and excuses. Medication is not optional. This is not a package from an online retailer. This is someone's health. I am now seriously considering transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. Riverdale Specialty Pharmacy should reevaluate the third-party delivery partners they choose to work with. Thank your delivery partner for losing patient trust and potentially compromising access to essential medication. Courtesy at the counter does not make up for a delivery failure. Reliability matters. Accountability matters. And right now, those standards are not being met. Very disrespectful and inconsiderate - they have no regard for the elderly and the disabled.

Pharmacy - 4 stars The pharmacy is great for the most part…read more It doesn't stay open for very long on weekends and major holidays, so be wary of that. If there's a problem with your prescription, the pharmacists are almost always willing to help you resolve the issue, rather than leave you to figure it out on your own. The pharmacy manager is definitely the best; she's very knowledgeable and offers great customer service. The wait time for picking up prescriptions is sometimes long, but I guess there isn't much that can be done about that. I wish they had more chairs in the waiting area - as of now, there are only three. Photo Shop - 5 stars I haven't patronized this Walgreens's photo shop very much, so I can't give a comprehensive review of it. I've mainly visited it for passport photos. In my experience, the wait time has always been minimal and the staff very helpful. No complaints. They offer personalized photo products, but I can't attest to the quality or wait time of these products as I've never purchased them. It's also stocked with a good amount of SD and miniSD cards, as well as some old-fashioned Kodak disposable cameras (not sure if they offer to process the film from these cameras, though). I'm pretty sure they also sell digital cameras. Beauty Department - 4 stars They carry all the major pharmacy brands. They have a lot of L'Oreal, Maybelline, and Revlon makeup products; a good number of products from all the other brands (Milani, Rimmel, Wet n Wild, Sally Hansen); and some random cheap brands. They also carry a good selection of perfumes and colognes, but these are stored behind the register, so you have to ask to see them. They also do let you sample them, which is helpful. They also carry some beauty tools, grooming tools, and nail products. I had to knock off a star, however, for the annoying way that they stock their personal care products, which are in the same aisle as their beauty products. The deodorants are kept behind individual sliding plastic 'doors' that have to be slid all the way down to the end to get a product from the middle. The razors are kept behind a lock and you have to ring the customer service bell to get a person to come unlock it for you. You'll find yourself pressing the bell multiple times before anyone comes to help you. When someone does finally come, it'll be someone who appears to be very annoyed and who stands over you as you inspect the product. It's just easier to get a nearby working employee to help you than to ring the bell. They claim these added safety measures are to prevent shoplifting, but they just make the shopping experience more difficult than it needs to be. Also, if shoplifting is such a big problem that they have to lock up their products, then what the hell is the security guard who stands at the front of the beauty aisle doing? Customer Service - 3 stars The customer service is hit-or-miss here. Some employees offer impeccable customer service, even running around the entire store just to find a product for you. Others give minimal effort to helping you, if they even give any effort at all. One thing I know for sure: if you want any product that's locked up (razors, hair styling tools, special feminine hygiene products) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD don't ring the bell. It takes forever for anyone to help you and the loudspeaker makes an annoying announcement every time you press it (which causes people to stare at you and be annoyed with you). Just find an employee who's walking around or something. Or visit the Rite-Aid across the street, which doesn't have nearly as many items locked up. Overall - 4 stars The store is small, so it may not have everything you came for. If you use the Walgreens website's 'Find in Store' feature, it's not always accurate for this store (or for any Walgreens stores, really). Often times, I have looked up a product on the website, found it to be listed as 'In Stock' in this store, and visited the store just to find that they either are out of stock or never even carried it. The best stocked aisles are the dental hygiene aisle, the home cleaning aisle, the personal care aisle (probably because no one can reach the locked up products in this aisle), and the food aisle. They now have a rewards card, which is pretty useful. I recommend signing up for it. You don't even have to carry it when you purchase things, you can just enter the phone number you signed up for the card with at the register and you'll get the rewards. Customer service is alright, depending on the person who helps you. The lines sometimes get long, and they often open up a register in another department when this happens. They have good, sizable parking behind the building, so that's a plus. Overall, it's not a bad store, but not exceptional either.

Worst Walgreens I have ever been to. The customer service is terrible. The sales associates do not…read moreacknowledge or engage with customers, and the overall atmosphere is extremely unwelcoming. This CVS is my bread & butter. I'm either in here or the Fine Fare across the street…read more I was so happy when this location opened its door within walking distance of my home. This CVS has so many good deals. One thing I love about CVS is their greeting card section--yes, I'm that person. This location has the most vast collection of greeting cards: Papyrus, Hallmark, cards with music, cards that pop-out, artisanal cards, money holders, and my favorite: blank cards. They also have a great selection of gift cards. This CVS has a great selection of food, too. (Sometimes if the line is too long at Fine Fare, I'll dart in here to see if CVS has it; 80% of the time I can find it here.) They have a Kodak Kiosk area if need you to print photos. (I would call ahead for that because it's down pretty frequently.) Also, the pharmacy staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and they move like a well-oiled machine. I'm glad I live close to this location because it saves my life in more ways than one.

I have had the same experience with the same pharmacy clerk more than once. I have the red Extra…read moreCare Card in my app, which clearly states, 'Faster Pickup' and 'For prescription pickup and Extra Care Savings'. CVS apparently has 2 cards in the app, there is a blue card for the drive thru and it's clearly marked that way. This particular clerk can't seem to find my information by scanning the red card ever. I believe this is the 3rd time I've had this happen with her and only her. I never have an issue with any other clerk, ever. Today she wouldn't scan the card. She had me scan it after she tried to tell me that my prescriptions weren't going to come up with the red card. They did, as they always have with other clerks. I showed her exactly what it said. She then told me I don't have a card on file. I do, as a matter of fact, I picked up a prescription last week with the same exact information from the CVS app. I didn't have to take out my card or phone to pay. Every single time I've dealt with this particular person, she cannot find my card. Then she proceeds to tell me it's not on file. It shows that it's available in the app. This might seem like a minor inconvenience, but why should I have a card on file to pay for my prescriptions, if I'm going to be told it's not available? I'm done with this CVS. I've had other issues in the past. This was the last straw. Switching to Capsule. I'll shop at Walgreens from now on for anything else I might need.

Came here all the time when I lived in the Bronx…read more It's a fairly good CVS. It's always stocked well and kept nice and organized/clean. The selection is pretty good here. They also have a lot of different snacks/foods that I don't regularly see in most CVS's. I still pop by here once in a while during my lunch break if I need something random during the workday, but I don't see the need anymore since I live in Manhattan now. The lines are never too bad here. There is some waiting, but it's never been a crazy amount, no matter what time I come. My brother found a $20 bill on the floor once. Not that it's relevant to my review or anything haha.

Incredibly full after I made an online reservation for both the latest Moderna Coronovirus vaccine AND the RSV vaccine same day one after the other. There were over 4 different lines, and over 60 people waiting for different services from the pharmacy. I was on line 1 hour when only 3 people were ahead of me, then the pharmacy employee was a Venezuelan girl in her 20's who didn't speak a word of ENGLISH!!! Terribly unprofessional. Then after waiting again on another line, after she took my insurance information, the pharmacist giving the vaccines calls my name at 3:00 PM and says he only has the Coronovirus one, the RSV "goes fast here.". Never again will I step foot in ANY CVS especially the CVS at Morris Park, BRONX, New York!!
