The general expectations for install were never communicated to us, we have never replaced flooring and didn't know they would be demoing the entire house and then installing, requiring us to vacate the home. For someone new, it's reasonable to assume they might go room by room? Maybe not. Setting out general expectations and timelines in advance would be great. 2. The job took much longer than originally stated. 3. Quality of baseboards that they replaced was much lower than what we originally had installed. 4. The overall quality of the install was poor. It was clear they had no idea how to work with this newer product. Especially when it came to the stairs which they redid and it's still not right. 5. Photos included of messy filler/caulking, install spaces between joints and large spaces next to walls, creaky steps (multiple). I waited one year to review as the sales person said that "of course the steps will creak when they are new but when they settle in it won't". I feel like they are "settled" now but they still creak like crazy. They weren't the cheapest quote we got, we thought we were getting quality install and were ok with paying more but that was not the case.

Details of the Installation Clean Image, Inc. initially quoted our project in June 2025. Orlando's quote was a bit higher than others, but we felt confident Clean Image, Inc. would do a good job for us by Orlando's knowledge and by the time he spent explaining the steps required to complete the project. Our project changed over the course of the year, but in May of 2026, we finally decided on 12 mm Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring to be installed in our three upstairs bedrooms, two reach-in closets, hallway and on the treads of the stairway. Because our project changed a bit, the cost also came down a bit. The installation consisted of preparing the subfloor, installing leveling compound, install the vinyl plank flooring on the upstairs floors and on the treads of our stairway, and installing baseboards in every room and painting the baseboards afterward. They also helped us install the track for the mirror closet doors in two of the bedrooms and carrying the mirrored doors upstairs and installing them for us. We remodeled all of our second floor beyond the flooring--replacing the showers, installing new large format tile, new vanities and fixtures in both bathrooms. Because of our bathroom remodeling, we had quite a bit of trash to get rid of. Orlando set a trailer on-site for his use, but also allowed us to throw trash into it. This was very convenient and much appreciated. Our upstairs subfloor was not flat with peaks and valleys throughout every room. Orlando installed leveling compound in each room and hallway to prepare the floor for the vinyl flooring. We also didn't want a threshold / trip hazard between the tile and the vinyl flooring. Orlando did a great job installing the leveling compound to make the two surfaces be at the same height. Because the subfloor was so badly uneven, this took about a week to complete and matched his quoted timeline. The stair treads were tricky to install with unique angles and returns, but Orlando mastered the installation. His attention to detail on our stairs really shows. Our stairway is the show-piece in our house entrance. We felt so comfortable with Orlando's team, we hired Jaime and Mario to move the items from our PODS in our driveway back upstairs to the bedrooms. They also assembled patio furniture for us after the PODS was empty. We carried the items downstairs to the PODS, but we weren't going to carry it back up. Lifesavers!

The baseboards were sloppily reinstalled with glue residue and dirty smudges all over them. Mike ran out of finishing nails so he went into my garage and grabbed some of my flat head roofing nails and used those on the baseboard. Mike also ran out of gas on the freeway on his way to fix his mess. I took him gas. He still left a huge mess for me to clean and repaint. Stay away from Bestcoast Floorgodz. Also claimed to be a licensed contractor but I couldn't find his company or his name on the State Contractors License Board website.
