do not stay here. management is horrible. unable to sleep in a $650 a night room because extremely loud noises coming from the walls. we booked a luxury suite room for $650 a night and were unable to sleep longer than 30 minutes without being startled by this extremly loud helicopter loud sound that soundwd like a jet plane was taking off by my head. my ears are ringing and i have a migraine from the noises comung from the wall for over 8 hours!!!! management was unfair and did not compensate us approapriatly and only initially offered us a late checkout for 2 more hours to sleep!!! i was furious because i was unable to sleep more than 30 min bc thus deafening sound would startle me and wake me up in my sleep!!!! they only wanted to give us $50 off our $650 room rate. i had to argue and complain for 3 hours in the morning being transferred over 5 times with maintenance people in and out of our room at 4am then 8 am than 10 am bc of the loud noises. we couldn't even enjoy breakfast in peace bc our phone kept ringing once and then the manager would hang up on us. we played phone tag for 3 hours in the morning instead of enjoying our room!!!! do not stay here. management obviously doesn't care about their guests and their wellbeing and locked us out of our room at 1230 even though they gave us a late checkout of 1pm!!! avoid at all costs. avoid. avoid

This hotel is surely unique. It's not like any other hotel I've stayed at. The theme rooms are super cool and fun for the family. I highly recommend booking a theme room if you're staying at this hotel. They always have some deals throughout the year so make sure to keep an eye on their website before you book to see what deals are available. We had a great rate on the room ($200/night) plus we got the sleepover package which includes attractions passes (waterpark or Galaxyland) for 50% off!! Such a great savings and a wonderful way to enjoy the attractions at the mall for a great price! You can get up to 4 discounted tickets per night you stay so we did just that. We stayed in the space room and it was a super cool room and great for families. There was a queen size bed, and 2 twin size bunk beds that were like space sleeping pods. There's also a tub and 2 TVs in the room which is super cool!! We definitely took advantage and filled the tub to watch tv. Included in the package we bought was also a discount of 25% off at L2 which is their lounge / restaurant at the hotel. Plus there are a ton of food options in the mall for you to choose from should you want something different. You can also easily skip the dishes right to your room! The rooms were clean and comfortable, great access to all the fun things to do at the mall and you can even request a little bit of a later checkout time (12 noon). Highly recommend checking this hotel out. I will be coming back again to check out some of the other super cool theme rooms!!

What do you call a 'fantasy' hotel where $600 a night buys you a room with no internet, no cell reception, no working ceiling fan, a convenience store that closes at 6pm, and no working ceiling lights (rather than change halogen bulbs, they removed switches and installed cover plates!)? A nightmare. Right now, my fantasy is a pot of coffee, but room service won't pick up after 20 mins on hold. I also fantasized about exchanging USD to CAD at the front desk, but they wouldn't even take it AT PAR! On the plus side, the L1 lounge, the lobby centerpiece, is modern and cool. Consider dropping by to drown yourself in martinis and fantasize that you're staying somewhere better, cheaper, and cleaner.

Don't stay here!! The themed rooms sound exciting but they are not worth it! We took our kids there for a staycation and we were devoured by bed bugs! We stayed on the Polynesian floor but I can only imagine if they are on one floor, they are in other rooms as well. It's been 2 weeks of trying to deal with bites, laundry and fumigating to try and kill whatever we could've brought home. There has been a case opened against the hotel and the health inspector will be paying them a visit. Do yourself a favour and stay as far away from this hotel. Not worth the $500/ night they charge

    Big comfy king sized bed!

It is also 3X the average price of hotels parking in this area. They do not tell you the parking next door is 3rd party not included in your stay, it is $100 fine if you park there and don't pay the 3rd party. All the trucks had the same fine in the morning. Management did nothing about this. We found the hotel new and bright. The room was large, water pressure was good, had a nice hairdryer, there was also an iron, bar fridge, kuereg coffee maker, flat screen tv. We were on the 11th floor, looking out over the river valley. The restaurant & lounge were beautiful, open airy and had great views. We didn't eat or drink there but took a look around. The gym is well equipped & the hot tub is the size of a pool. Check in was quick and they fave us complementary warm chocolate chip cookies A negative was the very thin walls, it is a family hotel and the morning are filled with the sounds of children for good or bad lol. The mattress is extra firm, depending on your preference that is good or bad. The location is at the far east end of Jasper Ave, still decent for most shopping, dining & access to the ICE district.

From the moment we arrived, no one was available to greet or seat our party, leaving us standing around and unsure what to do. Service was virtually nonexistent; we waited 15 minutes just to get coffee, and ultimately had to track down juice ourselves. The food experience was just as disappointing. Items were cold, poorly maintained, and the display was visibly picked over, giving the impression that it had been sitting out for far too long. To make matters worse, there was no staff present to cook after waiting in line for an omelet, the Eggs Benedict was old and cold, and it seemed the other items were not being replenished. For what is marketed as a "luxury brunch," the experience fell far below even basic expectations. Considering the high cost per person and the expectation to tip 18%, this felt completely unjustified. I would strongly recommend skipping this brunch--it is simply not worth the price or the frustration.

Before booking a reservation for the Saturday night roast beef dinner buffet offered by the Royal Coach Dining Room at the Chateau Louis Hotel, we checked their website to view the menu/prices. As the menu from Saturday night, December 23 had not been updated on their website, we first called the restaurant to inquire if they were still having the same buffet on Saturday night, December 30. We were advised, 'yes,' the buffet was also going ahead the following weekend. When we arrived on December 30, we were disappointed to discover that the buffet items had been severely cut back from December 23 ... yet the price was still the same, not cheaper. We had really been looking forward to the roast turkey with cranberry walnut dressing, cioppino, basil cream gnocchi, apple cinnamon cake, pistachio rice pudding ... none of these items was, in fact, served at this buffet, yet we were still expected to pay the higher price as advertised for the fully stocked buffet the weekend before. While the food choices were okay, we were disappointed to attend a buffet with only 5 hot dishes, where 3 of the 5 items were steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, and rice. There are no dinner buns (someone in our group was a meat/potatoes/bread man), and coffee is extra at this buffet. (My personal opinion - for the full price charged for a reduced buffet, coffee should really be included.) If considering making a reservation for the buffet offered at this restaurant, be sure to call beforehand (better speak with someone knowledgeable like the restaurant manager) to inquire if they are serving the food items as advertised on their website, as the price doesn't get reduced when several menu items are struck off the list.

I arrived bright and early and luckily was able to check in right away. Whenever I stay in a hotel I request being on a higher floor, so that I get a nice city view. So I was happy to be put up on the 6th floor that overlooked Whyte Ave and the city of Edmonton. A couple things to know: + The location of this hotel is perfect - right at the heart of Whyte Ave. There are plenty of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and shops within a 5 minute walking distance. + Complimentary wine happy hour. I wasn't able to make it to this unfortunately since I was at an event, but if if I was free, y'all know I wouldn't miss the opportunity to sip on some free wine. + Complimentary breakfast buffet w/ all your basic continental goodies. I also did not partake in this complimentary feature, because this lil lady needed to catch up on some zzz's, but from the photos it looked bomb.com. + Comfy beds. I always feel teeny tiny when I sleep in a king bed. I burrito'ed myself in between all the blankets and 5 pillows, and I'm pretty sure if someone came into my room while I was sleeping they wouldn't be able to see me. I'm not sure if it was because I was exhausted or if the beds were just extremely comfy, but I passed out right away and slept through the whole night. + Strong free wifi. I had a lot of work to get done during my trip, so having strong wifi was necessary. Metterra delivered. I'd happily stay here again, hopefully for longer next time!
