I am going on 6 days and no chip!!!! Can you believe it? I probably just jinxed myself. I've been going to the Georgia Ave. location for years and they have always taken care of me. This location is more of the updated version and the chairs are a little nice. So nice that you might fall asleep and forget where you are. The massage chairs are amazing but the nail technician didn't give me much of a foot/hand massage as I've had before for the regular mani/pedis so I was a little disappointed. The $24 mani/pedi deal is Monday-Wednesday. Really good deal! Neither of the locations ever have a good selection of colors but I always bring my own incase of a chip then I can fix it later on my own. Parking can be very crazy. I HATE this parking lot, there is however parking behind which is a lot bigger and easier to find a spot. read more

Imagine: Monday morning, spending two hours waiting at the MVA for a new license, coming out empty handed, and the bar exam is only a day away. 'Stressed' wouldn't suffice to capture how I was feeling last Monday. So when i saw Fantasy Nails on my drive back to the apartment, I made a quick u-turn to treat myself to a mani-pedi. First things first, $25 mani-pedi combo is a great deal. Kim who worked on my nails was very nice and she did a good job. So why only three stars? Well, for one, I saw a cockroach crawling on the wall near the sink in the back. Also it was inconvenient that I had to run to the ATM because i wasn't allowed to add tip to my credit card charge. And another minor minus point was that I didn't get the usual 10 second massage at the end of the mani. I wouldn't mind going back if I find myself in the Woodmoor shopping center on my coffee/pastry run. But otherwise, I'll stick to my usual near my apartment. read more

The ladies here are so friendly and my nails always look fabulous. However, they never seem to last as long as other places. My gel manicures start to peel after a week. Even the powder dip starts to crack or chip within a week, whereas most places last a full 2-3 weeks. They seem to do such a careful job, so I'm not sure if it's old products or what. read more

As I continued to ask for her to remove it she refused and said the bump is there because of me which is a lie. Stay away from the male technicians. They want to just finish and they don't care to ask what you want done or how you want your nails to look. I have been coming to this establishment for a long time and it has gotten worse and worse as they continue to accept people coming in while they don't have the available slots or technicians to service more people. Today I came in and asked if they had an availability for a manicure, pedicure and brow wax. They said they did. They put me in a chair for the pedicure and the male technician started working on my feet without asking what kind of pedicure I wanted or what I wanted my nails to look like. He started at 3:30pm and in 8 min claimed to be done and ready to start painting my nails. I indicated I wanted a spa pedicure and asked if he was done with everything and why it was so quick and missing services. He said 'the massage would be with the lotion', then started lazily applying. Massage to one leg. I noticed that my toenails had been cut into a round shape rather than the square shape I prefer, there was still a hang nail on my little toe from his haphazard work, and the nails were all uneven length when compared to each other. I've never received such horrible service. I ended up paying $25 for shit service bc they wanted to rush in as many people as they could. I will never come here again. read more

I LOVE this nail salon! They do waxes, mani & pedis, massages and facials. My mom, grandmother, and I used to always go get mani pedis together there and the women always remembered us. They took special care of my 95 year old grandma and always made her feel so loved and pampered. I like how when you get a mani pedi, they will still do your manicure while you are on the massage chair for your pedicure. I've gotten eyebrow, lip and bikini waxes from here and they all went very well! I've had a good and a bad massage from here. I think usually they give great massages and the time I got the bad one, I believe their regular mousses were not in because the woman who did mine barely put any pressure on me and kept me fully clothed. Last week I tried this place out as my regular manicurist was not at my regular salon and a good friend mentioned that this salon was pretty great so I tried it out. I appreciate their special of $25 mani/pedi (monday-wednesday) which is an amazing price. As my usual, I got a pedicure and gel manicure which cost $45. The salon is much nice inside than I even imagine. The pedicure chairs are really nice, comfortable and the massage function works. Linda, my nail technician, did an amazing job and she was quite gentle. Also, for those who get gel manicures, they give you a nice back/neck massage while your nails dry which was a pleasant surprise. Today I received mistreatment and the worst the customer service experience at Fantasy Nails & Spa at at 10105 Colesville Road , Silver Spring, 20901 from a lady who was managing the spa around 4pm. I would give it less than one start if i could!!! She treats customers differently, who paid the same amount for the same service. The worst nail experience and customer service ever! That it left me shocked and speechless! It was my first time going to the salon since it near my house and i add some good reviews. I came in, it wasn't busy late afternoon. Nobody greeted me, I was standing until a lady who was working on someone's hands yelled across the room covered by loud the sound "What do you want?" . At the end when i try to address my concern, she said " never come back here again this is not the place for you if you complained". I am still in a shock. This place is really a great nail salon. They consistently do a very nice job. The color selection is nice. Mostly OPI colors, which I prefer. All of the techs I've used have been great and very friendly. They do a $25 Mani/pedi Monday thru Wednesday. On my last visit a little over a week ago, I mentioned that I wished I had stopped for coffee at Starbucks nearby (it was a cold, rainy day). One of the techs immediately offered to go and pick up coffee for both of us which was really above and beyond the treatment I've received anywhere else. I went to this place for three years straight, at least every two weeks. But stopped going because on one occasion one of the ladies that work there told my friend the must rude thing EVER. A friend of mine that I would always go do my nails with had picked out a bright beautiful red for her nails and the girl that worked there told my friend that "she should pick another color because she was too dark skin for that red" . I hate my manicure. I told the artist while I was still in her chair because I think it would be unfair to give her a poor review without giving her a chance to fix it. The polish around my cuticles is jagged and when I asked her to fix it she laughed at me. She also painted my pinky toe on the skin and she was ushering me to the manicure station without cleaning that either. When I asked her to clean the extra polish off my pinky she laughed as well. She had an attitude for the rest of the manicure and kept talking to her friend in a whisper. Will never come back here again. read more

Despite me seeing dust bunnies and such in the corner, against my better instincts, I went ahead with a Gel manicure. Within a few days I developed a horrible infected finger nail. This place does it right! I came here inauguration Monday for a little pampering. I walked right in, and there was no wait. My technician said it was because all the customers were there over the weekend getting ready for the balls! The $25 mani/pedi combo price took me back to Atlanta where prices are reasonable! The shopping center looked old, with a slightly chaotic parking situation, but the inside of the salon was nice, and clean. You can tell its been recently renovated. The massage chair was awesome, the waxing station didn't involve laying on a nasty table looking up at water stains in the ceiling, and there were bottles of Lysol next to every single pedicure bowl. All twelve of them. They have a wide array of colors to choose from, including opi and Essie. My nails, toes, and brows came out looking right! The best thing about this place, is they go above and beyond with their level of customer service. They don't have TVs, and another customer mentioned she would've liked to watch the inauguration speech. Do you know the technician stopped what she was doing, and pulled out her personal iPad for the customer to watch it on while she got her pedicure? Now that's really going the extra mile! P.s.- if you want to tip, bring cash. They have no tip line on the receipt, nor can they just charge you more for the service and take the rest for tip like I asked her too. read more
