Since when do you have to pay extra to get your feet scrubbed or messaged during a pedicure? Also, using cuticle oil to put all over my legs?! My lady was nice enough (Tina), nothing to complain about her. She is probably doing what management tells her to do. I can remember coming to this place a few years back and getting the best treatment for a reasonable set price. Now everything is extra. Pros: I came in for a man pedi special for $25 which is a great price for this area. The pedicure also included the scrubs and hot towels which was nice. Cons: I felt a little rushed at the end because they were busy. The tech left some nail polish residue on the side of my toes which is unprofessional. I wasn't too worried though because it was only a cheap deal. I probably should have waited to tip until the end so I wasn't rushed. read more

This place is clean which is a big pro in my book. All the tools they use come right out of a sealed package. I'm here on a Monday and is pretty slow getting a mani-pedi for $25. I have only had waxing service here but I can tell you it is the best place around for eyebrows. Been here many times and all of the girls do a great job. My eyebrows come out shaped, clean, and not too thin. Way better than any threading place. They do a great job on other areas as well. read more

My boyfriend and I came in for pedis. I had never been to this nail salon before. I can say that they did a great job. He of course didn't get color but mine was applied very clean and consistent. The salon is clean and does not have an overwhelming smell of acrylic, like some other salons. I forgot my technicians name but she was good. She engaged me in conversation and it didn't feel forced while maintaining the quality and time of my pedicure. I will definitely be visiting again. Fantasy Nails is my salon. They have proven to me that they can do an exceptional job with the services they provide. I been searching for a salon that gets it right the first time and don't have to question them after the job is done. It is the place to go for your pampering or just your every two week up keep. I love the Shellac nail treatment for special occasion, the Pedi spa is awesome and the Eyebrow station is clean and organized. Everything is in its place as a spa salon should be. When you walk in you feel comfortable with the setting and know that you will be treated like a king, queen, prince or princess for a few hours. This is my place of pampering for sure. I went there for the first time on the 9th. It wasn't busy at all. The technician took her time and they had OPI hallelujah. They have deals on Mon-Wed. I recently had a horrible horrible horrible experience at their sister salon in Takoma and swore to never go to another Fantasy Nails again. Went there to get dipping powder for graduation.. loved the layout of the nail salon However, in a week my powder begin to chip. I went to get it fixed and no one wanted to help me .. the girl who did my nail finally decided to help and but instead of doing the nails over she redipped the nails making the powder thicker.. since then two nails has falling off completely.. no manager was on staff to talk to.. it has been 10 days and I aready have to get my nails redone read more

This place is great! I went in after taking off my acrylic fill, done by another salon, who totally botched my nails and made them bleed and have huge craters in them. I was originally going to get a gel manicure, but Aileen told me that it wouldn't be wise since my nails were such a mess and totally destroyed. She told me that she didn't want me to waste my money when it probably would only last 5-7 days instead of the 2 weeks that it should. I loved that she was so honest and actually cared, versus me wasting my money on something that wouldn't last. I ended up just getting a regular manicure that I was very happy with, especially since my nails were so bad before. This place is clean and all the tools are new and wrapped. Came here two or three times before and thought that service was inconsistent. Last Saturday I stopped in for a regular manicure before a bridal shower. Chose my color and the technician did her job - poorly! Once I left and the polish dried, the poor job was easy to see. I returned two days later to have this redone. The manicurist was extremely rude and unhelpful. The inconsistent customer service is now consistently bad. Not a place worthy of my money. read more

First of all I want to say, that I have been here before and have not had an issue. The mani/pedi for $25 special is great. I beleive you get what you pay for but having been to this nail salon more than once, I had never left dissastisfied. I called before going in to make an appointment. I specifically asked for a female technician because my experience with male techs in the past have not been the best. Well, I arrived and was assingned a male tech. I do not like being a bother, so even though I didn't want to, I went along with it. He was the worst! So bad that I decided to write my first yelp review ever. He was in a rush. I felt like a construction worker was doing my manicure and pedicure. I left really sad and dissapointed. The nail polish was polished on very sloppy, in a rush. He hurt me with the cuticle clippers. Then he knicked my nail with his nail and did not even bother to remove and reapply. He double tapped it with his fingers and just brushed over it. I am very dissapointed with today's manicure and pedicure. I work hard for my money and look forward to pampering myself everyonce in awhile and it makes me so mad that I received this terrible service. As soon as he was done with me, he rushed to the back to eat. No thank you, no see you next time. Nothing. He was a tanned male, wore glasses. Had not seen him in there before. Avoid his terrible work at all cost. I coudln't even complain to an owner or manager there because one was not present. WORST SERVICE! She gave me NECK MASSAGE...a neck massage people!!! I have gotten my nails done in several places. Most "low" end but also in a couple "high" end places. I have neverrrrr been given a neck massage included in my mani/pedi!! My nail tech did a great job. I am satisfied with my nails and toes. This is by far the best Nail place I have been to in the area- and I think i've tried them all from Rockville to Bethesda to SS! I have been going to Lena for the past 3 years and she is fabulous! So sweet and does an amazing job on my toes, hands, and eyebrows! Everyone who works here is great, and the place is clean. I always leave feeling so relaxed, and looking forward to my next appt. My pedicures would last for a month- easy- and my regular manicures stay chip-free for at least a week! I can't recommend this place more. There location on Georgia Ave is just as good. This place is great. I needed a new nail salon because I moved to Silver Spring and couldn't keep going to my old VA neighborhood for a pedicure. My toes were suffering from the infrequent (6 weeks and more, don't judge me, lol) trips to salon. I knew it was time to do something when one 90+ degree day, I wanted to wear my cute open toe sandals and couldn't. Why? Because it looked like I had a tropical manicure (you know the color painted across the tip of the nail). So, I researched and found this salon so I decided to give it a chance. This was my experience: When I walked in on Sunday at about 10:30 AM, I was greeted immediately. That is big for me because I dislike walking into business establishments and being ignored for 10 minutes. I was told to pick a color and before I was able to get comfortable in the waiting chairs, I was greeted by a man who told me to follow him. He introduced himself as Tom. I was a little skeptical, but I followed him to the back. I sat in one of the last chairs so I was able to check out the whole salon. It is very clean. I sat down and put my feet into very warm water (I like it hot) and asked if I could soak for a little while (Hey, it makes it easier for the nail technician). I soaked for about 10 minutes and then Tom got to work. He was very gentle when trimming my cuticles and applied the right amount of pressure when smoothing my heels. Then he massaged the sugar scrub on my legs and feet and that was the start of beautiful relationship. He only got better when he applied the oil. That was the best foot/leg massage I have received with a pedicure! Tom painted my toes flawlessly (no polish on my cuticles or toes) and I went on my merry way. Needless to say, I am very satisfied with my experience. I am very picky and I do not have anything negative to say about this salon. It's clean, the staff is courteous and friendly and my new technician, Tom is a gem. The prices are great -$20 for a reg. pedicure, but on M-R it is $25 for a reg. mani & pedi. This is my new salon. If you're looking for a place in the Silver Spring area, swing by and give it a try. You are likely to be highly satisfied. Bill did a terrific job of making me feel pampered while also being efficient. Had OPI shellac mani-pedi and eyebrow waxing. He sold me the "spa pedicure" about halfway through, as nail techs do. I agreed and was SO glad I did. The deep massage was as good as I've gotten, and the hot towed and hot-stone massage were just what I needed today. All equipment is sterilized and individually packaged. And there's no TV, which made the place feel more relaxing. I'm so done with blaring TVs in nail salons. I arrived about 3 minutes late for my appointment and the place was packed. I was worried I might have to wait. Nope. They honored my appointment and seated me at a pedicure station right away. It seemed some of the technicians gave more personalized service than others. I have no idea who my technician was because she didn't tell me not ask my name. Toenail polish isn't to the edge, fingernails have polish on the sides, even after I asked her to clean it up. Nails were not buffed, no hot towel, no hand massage, nothing...She was constantly wiping her nose on the back of her hand...but the worst was that I noticed NONE of the people there disinfected the foot soaking bowls after a customer. I got a gel mani today and was pretty happy with the result. My nail tech rushed through it a bit, but she did a great job so I was fine with it. It was a little on the pricey side ($35) but worth it. They give you a little massage while the nails are setting, which was so nice. I would go again! read more

Great service and standard pricing. Excellent attention to detail with designs and the polish usually stays on longer with no chipping compared to other salons that I've been to in the DC area. Another plus is that this salon is open late, usually till 8pm and they do not even mind if you come in at 7:50. Ask for Cindy! read more
