This was my first time visiting this location. I had walked by it a few times going in and out of the movies. I really wanted to get my nails done after almost a 2 year long hiatus and chose this place as it was the closest to me at the time. I was not disappointed. I had called and requested an appt at 3:30PM, as soon as I walked in I was sat down and greeted by 2 sweet ladies. Cindy (I think that is her name) was the one that took care of my nails. She asked me what I wanted and told me the price upfront, which was extremely reasonable at least to me. I told her what color and that I wanted a flower design that she could choose as I am not extremely picky. I was in and out of sleep the entire time LOL but was so satisfied with the result and she killed it on the design. I will be back for sure read more

Worst. Manicure. Ever. My sister has been here tons of times and always gets spa pedicures. That is what both my sisters got this visit - and both enjoyed them and said they were good. Fine. This review is mani only. I highly doubt the woman who did my nails was licensed - considering she was doing a haircut when I got there. She barely soaked my nails and did a poor job of trimming my cuticles. She proceeded to massage my forearm with cuticle oil (gross) she finally got up and got lotion - when she turned I wiped off the oil - the lotion was GLITTERY (ugh!). THEN, I had to wash off my OWN hands and arms - everyone else got the norm: warm towels. So I got up and used the gross ass sink in the middle of the room. I asked her to reshape my nails TWICE because she made them square - real squares (like with 90 degree sharp angled corners). As she painted them she missed the right side of EVERY nail on my right hand - I mentioned this and she fixed ONE only. I got home. Took off all the polish and filed them to a normal shape. DO NOT get a mani here from the haircut lady with glasses. read more

I go exclusively to Taylor now because she gives the best pedicures. Her husband does the best nails but she's a close second! I've been a customer for over two years. The shop is easy to find. All of the employees are friendly and welcoming. Ky is wonderful! He is truly a professional and I also leave the shop feeling like a million bucks after my fills, gel polish and pedicures. My family and friends compliment the results when I see them. His expertise keeps me going back regularly. Taylor is also the best! She does my nails occasionally and is fantastic at coloring my roots when needed. They have a variety of services to offer and the pricing is reasonable. I have taken my husband for pedicures, he also enjoys the massage chairs and the whole treatment. I continued my streak of bad customer service at Country Club Plaza by stepping into this salon yesterday. All I wanted was a color change and my nails to be trimmed. It wasn't too much to ask but the people working there turned and talked to each other after I asked my question. They kept me waiting for several minutes while they talked amongst themselves. I had no idea if I was going to be able to get service or not until one of the ladies came forward. She had a dead pan expression on her face and pointed me to where I needed to go. She was the most unhappy person I've ever had working on my nails in my life. I wasn't going to be there for long so I just went along with it, but whenever she wanted to ask me something or I needed to ask her something, it was so hard to communicate. She barely could speak English except for the words, "Pick out a color." and "Which way you like your nails?" But she couldn't even understand my responses. When we got through the fingernails part, I went to go wash my hands in the sink. They were out of soap in the dispenser so I let the lady helping me know. She opened the bottom of the sink and kept looking around for the hand soap container, even though there was a big bottle clearly labeled: "Hand soap". She couldn't read English, so she was oblivious to it being right in front of her. I politely pointed it out. She thanked me and then attempted to put the liquid into the dispenser but ended up getting it all over the sink. Since my hands were already wet, I helped her wash off the dispenser and wipe away the spilt part on the sink. That's when I began to notice how dirty everything was. The sink felt dirty and there was built up soap scum on the counter. I felt like I was washing the sink for the first time in a long time with my bare hands and the spilt soap. It was a very disturbing feeling. As I was drying off my hands I saw dust and grime built up on the border of the walls. And a spilt nail polish bottle had splattered color all over the wall, but it just remained there as part of the business. The garbage can was dirty as well, I was afraid to touch anything after this point. As I sat down to have her do my toenails, I notice all her cuticle clippers were sitting in one big open container. I've heard nightmare stories of people getting toe fungus from nail salons. So I wanted to ask her how do they clean their instruments. She looked at me blankly. I repeated the question. She pointed to what looked like a toaster oven on the shelf. I have no idea how it works, but I presume that she was trying to tell me that they use heat to sanitize their instruments. None of the other ladies next to her jumped in to answer the question either. At this point, I was tempted to get up and leave, but I've never been that rude to anyone so I remained seated. But I didn't want the lady to take her frustration out on my poor toes. She was the one holding a sharp object, and I didn't want to take an chances on her cutting my nails "too short" or something. So I just shut up and waited for it to be over. But I only paid for the services, I didn't leave a tip. This place feels like its old, dirty and has violated about half a dozen sanitation codes somewhere. I will not be returning. read more

This is my favorite nail place in Sacramento. Key does my nails perfectly and is always entertaining. His wife, Taylor does the best pedicures and design. She is so sweet and accommodating. Very unhappy with this place. Went in for a mani and pedi. Happy with the pedicure, except for the fact they don't massage. I also dont like the fact that they use loose tools. Every place I have ever been to opens a new pack for each customer. My manicurist (Kai) seemed to be in a hurry, he didnt even do a full manicure just took my old polish off, filed my nails and started painting. I got a French manicure using gel. He didnt file my nails good, there were fibers from the cotton stuck to my nail and there was still glitter from my old polish on my nail and he just started painting over all that. I told him about the fibers and he said "I see it" but just continued painting. When he finished with all the coats he THEN filed my nails AGAIN basically ruining the tips of my nails. The gel polish they use must be very low quality because 2 days later the clear and white polish turned gray and I HAD to peel the gel off after 5 days because it looked SO BAD! I didn't even have to use nail polish remover, I just peeled it off my nail because they werent prepped right. I will NEVER return here and do not recommend anyone go here for quality service. read more

The worst experience I have had in a nail salon....to the point of being uncomfortable and weird. Went in for a fill and nothing more. The guy who decided to do my nails was very rude and very rough with handling my hands and nails. I asked about color change polish and he just pointed to the window and said look over there. As he is doing my nails he continued to tell me that he had to do soooo much work to my nails... it was only me and one other person in the salon and made me feel like I was in HIS way. I know everyone has bad days so I will chalk it up to that, but I do have the choice of where I spend my hard earned money....and this place is not somewhere I will choose to spend. Just like the name of the salon, everything here is fantastic!!! I'm addicted to this place. I swear, if I don't go here twice a week, I will cut myself. I'd recommend the beautiful lady Taylor for everything she does, especially pedicure and manicure. On top of that, her husband is one well trained, polite, funny manicurist! I will never go there again. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to go to my regular place. My nais were not smooth and she told me it was dry skin. Excuse me, but I don't have skin on my nails. They were lumpy and uneven. I could have done a better job myself. They are thick and uneven. I am very disappointed. Next time I will know better. read more

DO NOT LET THEM CUT YOUR HAIR!!! I went here because I had a gift certifiicate that my friend bought me. When she purchased the certificate she asked if the lady that used to do her hair still worked there, they said no and she was unable to get a refund for the certificate (rip off). When I came in the "salon" was empty (I wondered why) the lady was real nice, I asked for a simple A line cut with layers. My hair was already an A line shape so I figured it would be simple to do a quick trim. I was there for a very long time getting the little bit of hair I had chopped off. I paid 18 dollars which I could have paid a little more at a real salon and got a nice cut, but now I have to walk around with this horrible awful hair until it finally grows out. I can't even get it fixed because it's that bad, the only thing to fix it is to shave it! I have never had a haircut where my hair feels so dry and damaged afterwards. I would never go back to this place and would never recommend it to anyone, the left over money from the certificate they can keep, because I would rather pay them for nothing then to let them ever touch me again!!! i just went there to get my hair done and i was very specific about how i wanted it...which was a hard task of comming from a reddish brown to a bleach blonde with pink undertones. not only were they quick to start but i felt very comfortable because she immediatly made friendly conversation. the owner came over and checked it out a few times and was very polite about how it was comming. needless to say- i will be telling all my friends about this place....the person who wrote the bad review below is tacky and i can assure you this salon is very clean....with soap. my hair looks amazing and they use all the best products. i will be returning and refering everyone i know. the prices are great and the atmosphere is friendly....they may get busy but they are not ignoring you, just trying to get the job right one beautiful person at a time....jessica and josiah read more
