Closed pod in room

The float is AMAZING! Very relaxing and I see a huge improvement in my back and hip pain afterwards. You can float in darkness and silence (my goal!) or have lights that align with chakra colors and music/nature sounds. Not claustrophobic at all, which I was scared of, plenty of room with float pod closed. The spa is beautifully decorated, very clean, and the owner is delightful with excellent customer service. After my first float ever I bought a package of 8 I loved it so much!

I absolutely love this place. The owner is one of a kind and devoted to clients. It found this place ages ago on Groupon and now I am a regular. I know there is an infrared sauna coming and the float packages are reasonable! This place has really made me a believer!

The bottom 2 readings are from before a 90 minute float and after. From 160 to 123! 37 points!

I have been floating at Floataway Spas almost weekly for a year now. I typically do a 90 minute float. I would guess I fall asleep after about a half hour in the float tank. It's so peaceful and relaxing! The water is always warm throughout the 90 minutes. The healing benefits are wonderful! I have arthritis in my feet from standing for long shifts. My neck and shoulders also also are typically tight and sore as well. Floating has given me relief from both! I'm also a type 2 diabetic. Floating helps relieve my stress which has helped to bring my blood sugar down. I take a reading before and after my floats. My blood sugar usually lowers by 20 - 50 points! The facility is always immaculately clean. The owner Dani is always professional and friendly. She is supportive in her clients journey to better health using float therapy!

I just came here for the first time and had a great first experience. I'm a strong advocate for mindfulness and I don't know what better way to practice that than in a floatation tank. I had heard about floatation spas from one of my dear friends and I finally decided to do the research and find one to go to myself. This place popped up on yelp and had some of the best feedback I'd seen. I'm going to try to give a detailed description for those like me who like to research before I do anything. After deep yelp research, I purchased the first-time special online and easily booked my first appointment on the business's website too. I did some research so I'd know what to expect and arrived about 15 minutes early. It was clean, well presented, and just a cute overall place. Not to mention, the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. I was kind of nervous at first but ready to embark on my floatation experience. She brought me to the room where I'd be floating (there are two total), and she explained to me the whole process. You put in your earplugs while dry, shower with everything but conditioner to strip away the oils, knock on the door to let the owner know to start your time, grab a towel for your eyes just in case you need to wipe away the water, then you get into the tank and begin your float. You can choose whether to have the lights on or off and also what sounds you want to hear. Then you just float. I can see how it might be difficult to relax at first if you haven't practiced meditation before but it truly is good for you. I had tension in my back that dissipated within five minutes. I tried out multiple different positions until the water just manipulated my body into what felt most comfortable. After several minutes, I was able to be calm and in touch with myself, focusing on my breath and being mindful. I had a couple sensations where I was almost hallucinating, feeling like I was traveling on a boat observing my life. There was another time where I felt I was spinning in circles and almost felt nauseous, only to open my eyes just to realize I had not moved from my position. Overall, it was a great first experience and I'll definitely be back. 10/10 would reco

I reached out to redeem my gift certificate. Victor Lopez, the new owner confirmed via email that they will not honor the certificate.

How much does this cost?

There are various options available. For my first visit, I used a Groupon for a 90-minute float with a 60-minute massage (so I'd check Groupon.com first). Then, because I LOVED the float. I purchased a package of 6 for $250 (I believe). That's a…

I did the couples float. Here are my take aways: -I have weird ears and should bring my own ear plugs so the water doesn't get into them. They do provide some, just not ones that worked for me. I struggle with water getting into my ears and could not relax fully because water kept going above my ears and the head float did not help me either. -I will never do complete dark again- as someone learning to manage mental health, it felt as if I was going to be sucked in to the middle of the open ocean. Deanna, the manager, was so informative and helpful. The added touches of the self care items after the float so you can be ready for the day without having to bring all your items from home was nice. We left 2 messages and never got a call back but finally spoke to someone on our 3rd call. The float itself was fine. The temperature was nice, and it is relaxing. But you have to wear earplugs and I found that very uncomfortable, and kept getting air bubbles popping out. I finally took them out and that was better, but the salt gets in your ears. Ultimately this wasn't for me. I tend to have some sensory issues, and the feeling of the salt drying on my exposed skin by the end of the float was driving me insane. I couldn't wait to take a shower to clean it off. Also as I got out, the water ran over my face from my wet hair and I got some of the salt water in my mouth. That was unpleasant. It you don't have the sensory issues, I am sure this is a lovely experience and I am glad I tried it, but I will stick to my massages for future pampering days.

You swap your shoes for fresh sandals and at the first appointment you come about 30 min early to watch a video on the tips that help you properly prep in the shower, coat a little petroleum jelly to protect dry skin or scratches from the salt in the float tub, and how to use the ear plugs. I've been to another float center in Redwood with a friend, so it was nice to find one close to home. I put a cloth in the lid to keep it open a crack and to help mark my orientation if I get up and want to readjust. I find that I prefer wave sounds and my husband likes music. I like to start with lights, then lights off for a minute, then I eventually mentally "drop down" into peace and darkness for like a half hour or so. Sometimes faster or slower. Really it's great for any body soreness and mental fatigue. I usually notice a 2-for-1 special and buy that and do a float "date" with my husband. So we usually get a sitter, catch a bite, connect and float. My hubby found out he had a lot of scratches on the last one... so they told him to reschedule no cost when he felt better. How considerate! I have been here 4 times now, but that felt so considerate that I trust them and really look forward to going back. I really like how close they are to a few spots I need things from as well. Since I'm out of town, we stop by the stores or eateries and cafes nearby to make it a treat.

I truly love the concept, even though for me the experience felt a bit overstimulating and physically stretching at times. Where I found myself disappointed was more with the level of customer care than the service itself, especially knowing this was my first visit. After my float, I enjoyed the oxygen bar and mentioned interest in learning more about another service option. During my oxygen session, the receptionist kindly offered to bring me tea, but it never arrived. By the end of the session, I noticed staff members chatting at the front while I was left feeling a little unsure about next steps. The staff were not rude at all, they were polite, but I did leave feeling like a bit more attentiveness and, guidance could have made a meaningful difference, especially for a first-time guest. The facilities themselves were generally clean and the overall concept has a lot of potential. With a little more intentional customer care and follow-through, I think this could become a much stronger experience.

She was very welcoming. Since it was our first time floating, we had to watch a short video on their iPad about what to expect while we float. The lady then showed us the rooms where we would be in and the float pods. Each room had its own showers and it was very clean! They also had shampoo, conditioners, body wash, ear plugs, makeup wipes and petroleum jelly to cover any cuts. While you're floating, you can choose to have the lights on or off to be in complete darkness. In the first and last 5 minutes of your float there will be calm music playing. They also provide a neck float if you prefer to have your neck up - which I also found more comfortable. Also, I would recommend using the ear plugs if you don't like feeling the water in your ears if you decide not to use the float. Also! I would recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner because if you're like me with long, thick hair... you would come out with real sticky, salty and frizzy hair. Lol. And bring a comb/brush too! All in all, I would definitely come here to float again. The owners are really friendly and the place is super clean and the experience is just amazing!
