Please be careful and make sure to confirm the price before getting your nails done. I didn't think I'd have to confirm pricing since I've been coming here several times with the same service, same price. I thought I had finally found my nail spot since the nail technician I book with, Tee, does such an outstanding job; but, unfortunately I will no longer be coming here. I normally pay $35 which includes removing my gel manicure and replacing with new (no hand massage/lotion). I have been coming here several times for the exact same service. When I came again recently, I was charged an extra $5 dollars. The owner's explanation for the extra charge was to remove my gel manicure. There was nothing special about removing my old gel/replacing with new. It was the same process as last time. None of this is obviously Tee's fault. She just works there and does a fabulous job! It was the owner who charged the extra $5. I'll miss you Tee! I would love to have you do my nails again, just not at this location where the owner randomly charges extra to a consistent customer. Talk about shady business. Could this be the reason why I never see any other customers at this nail salon? It's always so empty and honestly, looks depressing. Word of advice to the owner: "It takes months to gain a customer and only seconds to lose one." read more

I've been coming to Han Nails since April. It's a wonderful salon. I get dip powder on my nails, and pedis minimum once a month. I'm really really particular about my nails and nail shape, and they do their best to make them look the exact way I like them. Han is really sweet, and she stayed past closing with me one time to make sure my nail art was how I liked it. Tina is amazingly efficient in dip powder, and she was eager to do my Beetlejuice themed nails, and she was gleaming with pride and excitement at how they came out. That is what you want to see! Pride in craftsmanship! If you don't have a lot of time, let them know and request her! The highest pedi option is truly a treat, with rose petals and limes. Bomb massages! I brought my son for a pedi, and he sat there completely relaxed not on his phone at all, while they were massaging his feet and legs. Yes, they are human, and sometimes they mess up, but what sets them apart is their willingness to fix it at no cost. One time, my dip started separating after a week and a half. I went in for a pedi and told them about it, and they fixed it right away and told me to tell them in the future if anything like that happens again. I recently began using powder dip and the salon I've been going to is a bit out of my way (30 min drive) and with longer work hours lately I have slim availability. My nails were in need of some tender loving care so I searched Yelp for a salon with good reviews and earliest availability and decided to try HANs. Customer service: 5 stars Great telephone etiquette, was seated promptly on arrival and EVERYONE was very friendly and welcoming. Service: 2 stars My pedicure was very nice and relaxing, the scrub/lotion softened my feet and the hot rock leg massage was excellent. My nails are natural and I tend to keep them short and currently they are very short. I like the natural look and unfortunately they were not natural looking- the shape was not what I requested and the dip applied was much thicker than I'm use to having, additionally there was gel applied on top of the dip. Apparently there was a misunderstanding with regards to my request for powder dip. The dip color selected was not available so they added a similar gel color on top. I didn't quite understand that when they were explaining it to me I just repeated I want dip powder on my natural nail. Perhaps a misunderstanding as my on my part. Again, customer service was great and from the looks of the reviews this may be a great salon for those seeking full sets acrylic gel/ powder etc. To average my ratings I give it a 2.5 stars. Nope. Had an appointment for a fill. Arrived at 2:53pm and Han started right away. She finished at 4:27pm!!! She was very sweet and did a pretty good job but she stepped away to wax someone else's eyebrows (SO unprofessional). She also charged me an extra $5 for getting my nails a cut a little bit shorter (since when is that not a normal part of a fill???). Lastly she had to use some "base" color underneath the color I chose so that it would be opaque. That color smelled gross because I think it was super old and had that thinner stuff so it actually made it so thin that even after two coats u could still see my natural nails (and that's really saying something because I have acrylics). Even after the two coats of my chosen color being added after I got home I had better lighting so I could see areas on most of my nails where the paint was too thin. read more

Went to Hans Nails because of a recommendation beings I was unhappy with the nail place I had gone to for years. I got my nails done 1 week ago from another salon by Whole Foods and within 2 days they were chipping and peeling. I called Hans nails and they got me in within 25 minutes and Han specifically was so sweet and welcoming and enjoyable to talk to. You can tell she loves her job and getting to know new people. I found this place less than a half a mile from my residence. Had to go to another business. Saw the lady ask her if I need an appointment she said no walk-ins are welcome. One month later needing my hair to be cut so I just popped on in 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning. Han was very accommodating. I only had to wait five minutes after Han was doing someone else. I thought she did my haircut very well. But like everything else I need to wait and see three orfour weeks how it actually comes out to make a good judgment. Be careful. Solidify the price before you let them start because at the end, you could pay a completely different price. I hate to leave this review cuz the owner is a sweetheart. But I was going to her for about 6 months and every time I got my nails done it took 2-3 hours. I don't get fancy designs either, so I don't understand why it took so long. But I was patient because Han is such a sweetheart and the nails do look good. This is where the bad part comes... I started getting brown spots on my nails and fungus because they were not sealed properly. I had to stop going to her because of this. Plus the last time I got a fill with no design it took 3 1/2! I'm so sorry for leaving this review, but brown spots and fungus is a big No, No! And I was starting to feel like getting my nails done was a chore and would have to block out a portion of my day because I knew I'd be there for 2-3 hours. I will say they are a clean salon, so if you want a pedicure it should be ok. The reason I was getting fungus and brown spots is not a cleanliness issue, it's an issue of not properly sealing the nails. read more

I highly recommend Douglas. I have been very satisfied with his work. He's friendly, nice, and always on time. What I'm not happy with is being charged $5.00 to get my nails trimmed when getting a fill. I made an appointment to get a fill and gel polish, which cost $40.00 then to be charged $5.00 to have my nails trimmed plus #1.00 to pay using ATM just seems wrong. I questioned the charge to the owner, Han, and was told she was the one who told Douglas to change me the extra money. I don't mind paying the $1.00 for ATM but not the $5.00. BEST MANICURE OF MY LIFE!!! Please forgive the length of this review, but I think since background is necessary. I like to do my own manicures because it is super therapeutic for me and I spend an hour doing my nails because I'm a perfectionist; however, I "like" to get them done every so often. I say "like" because, prior to my appointment with Jane yesterday, I had never gotten a mani I was okay with. Techs usually just speed thru the process and I'm left with nails that aren't perfectly shaped or have uneven polish. It's usually a super stressful experience and I'm left feeling crappy. For the past 8 years or so, I have gotten my nails done twice a year at different salons and have never found one to go back to. UNTIL NOW! I got a polygel overlay French mani over my natural nails yesterday and it. was. incredible. Jane is clearly also a perfectionist and took two hours to finish my ABSOLUTELY PERFECT NAILS! Seriously the best mani/pedi of my life. From start to finish, it was a perfect experience. I had a long week at work and I wanted to unwind so I decided to book my first appointment here as I am new to the area. I was promptly & warmly greeted by Han who showed me where to sit and gave me a bottled water, (and some candy!) There were tons of colors to choose from and I noticed one of the employees had this beautiful green nail so I asked to have that one done. Jane and Helen did my nails and they were so patient with me and so kind. It was also the best mani/pedi massage I've ever had. I went here with my step mom for a pedicure and it was awful. This was my first time trying this salon. The lady I had (which I don't remember her name) didn't ask me what type of pedicure I wanted and just assumed that I wanted the same as my step mom even though we paid separately. I tried to tell her and she blatantly ignored me. This women was so unprofessional she cut me multiple times during the removal of my gel pedi prior. On top of that when I asked her to get my hang nails she went soooo far down my nail line which caused it to bleed. I said "ouch" maybe 4-5 times during my service and she just smiled and kept working. I winced once and she pulled my foot closer to finish mutilating my toes. I just moved to the Carmichael area. I normally go to rocklin to get my nails done (I work in that area), but I did not want to drive all that way today since I wasn't going to be over there. I wanted to try a few places to find a nail salon closer to my home. This was the first place I tried and let me tell you, my (pleasantly unexpected short) search is over! Ham did my nails and she did an amazing job! She was so patient with me, as I am indecisive when it comes to choosing a nail color, was very precise and thorough and happily did anything I wanted without attitude when it came to changing something on my nails.
