I can't say enough about how much my wife and I love this nail spa! We came here with our granddaughter to spoil her with her first Mani-pedi. Coming in the place feels calm and inviting. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. They gave us menus and we went for their top mani-pedi. I couldn't tell you all of the things they did, but our feet felt fantastic after being scrubbed, paraffined, and massaged. I had a seriously bad ingrown toenail that should have scared the technician, but instead she asked if it was ok to ho extra deep to get rid of it. She did a great job and it was my fault for not taking better care of my feet. My wife and granddaughter picked their colors from multiple books of options. Yes my granddaughter teased me about her wanting me to put red on my nails but I passed. Even though we were be pampered, they were all very efficient. I brought my high school nieces here for pedicures and manicures for end of school fun. FIrst time but reviews were good. However, comments were made to the girls that were out of line. One was a busy senior, hadn't time to do good leg shave, her gender was questioned because of leg hair? Girls asked who were their real parents ( their mom and I are seated there?!), and tho pictures were provided and we were there exactly at 9:30 when opened, first clients, for two of the girlsthe manicures were incomplete, just based on what the employee wanted to do. I really didn't want to leave a bad review but I came here for a pedicure a week ago, and I ended up getting a really painful infection. I waited a few days to see if the pain would go away but it seems like the lady who did my pedi cut my cuticle really deep and it got infected. Ended up going to urgent care to get antibiotics for the pain. The nail tech gave me the most aggressive pedicure I've ever received. read more

I've been a regular customer here for a long time, but this recent experience was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an appointment ahead of time (3 hours prior) for a mani and pedi with my daughter, specifically booking with two individuals. We arrived five minutes early for our 1:00 PM appointment. My daughter was immediately assisted by Lin, but I was left waiting for 25 minutes--only to be told they didn't think I was there and that I'd need to wait another 30 minutes or more. The owner was rude and insisted I wait, saying my daughter's appointment would take two hours and that mine wouldn't take as long. After that situation, I chose not to proceed with my service and simply waited for my daughter to finish. When I walked up to pay, the owner completely changed her attitude as if nothing had happened. A nail salon should be a place where clients feel welcomed and look forward to a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I received. Being dismissed and treated with such disregard was unacceptable. No one should be treated that way, and I will not be returning. read more

I just got a pedicure and John did them! he did absolutely AMAZING!! his attention to detail, he takes his time but I was out in an hour and a half! my toes look absolutely perfect! the other ladies there are so nice aswell! one came over and had a convo with me and got me a water! they are so nice and friendly! and SO CHEAP! 40 bucks for my pedicure, and in this economy and for the work John did absolutely worth every penny!! read more

I came to this salon today with my mom, aunt, and sisters for manicures and pedicures. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. During my pedicure, the technician repeatedly commented on my leg hair because I had not had time to shave before coming in. She told me I should be more feminine and even compared my appearance to a man. I found these comments unprofessional, unnecessary, and hurtful. Clients should never be made to feel embarrassed about their bodies. I was also unhappy with my manicure because I did not receive the nail design I had requested. In addition, the technician kept asking questions about who my mother was, which made me uncomfortable. A salon should be a place where customers feel relaxed, respected, and welcomed. Instead, I left feeling judged and dissatisfied with both the service and the overall experience. I hope management addresses these issues so future customers are treated with more professionalism and kindness read more

I came to this place several months ago after leaving my normal salon completely upset due to very rude customer service(. I had someone else doing my nails at my old location while my normal nail technician was out of town. The lady was so horrible. She didn't remove existing polish and then put new polish over and had a complete horrible attitude. I was left with terrible nails, and I offered to pay her and left feeling really upset and nervous about going anywhere. I called Carmichael Nails and Kim answered the phone. She got me in even late in the evening. I went straight from my old nail place to her. She fixed my nails and not only that but did the most amazing job. ! Every time I come in to see him she is so sweet ! The very best of the best! She always checks with me and asks if I'm okay with my nails and even if I'm not or I leave and something pops up, she gets me right back in to fix them or do you exactly what I like.. I stumbled on the most lovely local salon and treated myself to a lavender pedicure -- and it was absolutely amazing.

Stopped by a couple weeks ago because of the 4.4 rating and absolutely regret it. I got a manicure with French tips. I had previous nail polish on my nails that had to be removed. The person who removed my nail polish got it all over my fingers where my fingers were dyed the color of my old nail polish after- eventually came off after washing my hands a few times. When they shaped my nails they were all uneven and not smooth. My French tips were all different shapes and thickness. I recently took off the nail polish they did and my nails are destroyed. I'm not sure if it was because they were buffed too much? But I can see a groove from when they did my nails bs my new growth. Absolutely devastated as it took a while to grow my nails out and I treated myself to get them done. (I painted my own nail with the purple to better see the ridge in my nails now) read more

Nice salon - clean, well kept. Got a lavender pedicure with paraffin and hot rocks. Technician took her time and did a good job on polish and caring for toe with struggling toe nail. On the negative, hot rocks weren't actually hot. I could barely feel them and weren't therapeutic. When I said so, I was told they didn't want to hurt me. Understand, but not helpful. Massage was more like rubbing the lotion on - not a massage at all. Overall I'll say my experience was a B+. Maybe I'll be back, but due to my work (lots of on the feet time) the massage is super important to me. read more

on Sunday, June 7, I went to Carmichael nails for the third time for a pedicure. The first pedicure, the nail tech cut my toe and made it bleed The second time I went was fairly uneventful and I got a beautiful pedicure. The third time I went, this last Sunday, the nail tech cut my toe making it bleed and scrubbed the heel of my foot so hard with the pumice bar that I have three raw spots on my right heel. I came in to have dip powder nails removed. Every salon I've been to removes them by soaking & using the electric buffer to remove what is left over. Sadly, the technician barbarically removed my dip by ripping them out. She forced a fake nail tip between the dip powder and my own nails to lift the dip. That so defeats the point of powder nails and it's so damaging. One week later, my nails still hurt & are sensitive to hot and cold water. I have a friend that lives in the area that said they did that to her too and she never went back. Wish I would have known. read more

I guess it depends on which nail technician you get on the kind of service you will get. I went with my daughter for pedicures. I received a half assed massage. It wasn't even a message, I would describe it as rubbing lotion on my leg. She did not put any muscle or effort into it and she didn't work on my feet at all. She did, however, put a lot of effort into trying to up sale me. My daughter's technician was really good and she put effort into the leg and foot massage. My daughter said it was the best pedicure she's had. It definitely was not worth $45!! I left disappointed but my daughter was happy. read more
