First time customer. Ordered bourbon chicken with fried rice, pepper steak with fried rice, and Szechuan Spicy Dumplings. The dumplings were amazing. Unfortunately that's about it. The bourbon (they listed as bon bon chicken) was cold and dry. The pepper steak had very little flavor and the veggies were not cooked. Also some parts of the pepper steak meal were cold and some spots were hot as if it was been warmed in a microwave. We really wanted a new Chinese spot and tried.

Friendly and clean. Chinese restaurant in a strip center. Interior is pleasant. I ordered steamed shrimp and vegetables with steamed rice. Shrimp was fresh and tasty. Broccoli was steamed perfectly. I didn't use any sauce and the natural flavors were enough. Not my favorite Chinese egg roll but the hot and sour soup was spicy and wonderful!!! I'll be back for a bigger batch next time.

Location: The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there's parking. However, when I stopped by around 7:15ish it was pretty packed as there are at least two other restaurants. Food & Drink: The food is average and not my favorite. We ordered the crab rangoons, egg drop soup, pepper beef, orange chicken, Hunan style green beans, and fried rice instead of white rice. The egg drop soup was good and pretty standard. The pepper beef had a decent amount of protein to veggie ratio. The green beans were a bit spicy but not bad. The orange chicken was pretty average and comes with very little amounts of broccoli. I think what threw me off the most was their fried rice. It looked like it had been tossed with soy sauce and a ratio of 1 egg to 5 cups of rice. Basically it was just rice and soy sauce with no veggies and barely any egg. It also didn't taste like it had any salt in it (despite it being brown) and instead tasted a bit sweet. Something about it tasted off and it's probably the worst fried rice I've ever had. Service: I ordered takeout so there's not much to say except they got my order right, it took about 15 minutes for it to be ready and pick up was really easy. Price: I paid about $50 for 3 entrees and 2 appetizer s.

This is bad tuna. It was $4.70 per piece.

Fangs has been our go to for 3 years. We would order delivery at least once per month. It has always been hot, fresh and excellent quality. Unfortunately, times have changed. The sushi has been inedible the last 3 orders. The tuna nigiri arrived with freezer burn on the top and it was still hot from the defrosting. The over all quality of the food has dropped significantly. I am providing 3 stars only because I never rated them 5 stars when they were excellent. The last 2 months should be no stars. To fangs, - If you are unable to serve FRESH edible sushi, then, take it off of the menu as opposed to causing sickness. - Focus on the dishes you cook perfectly and purchase the quality ingredients to produce them. We will buy them. - fortune cookies are cheap. When they are stale throw them away.

The three stars were doled out very, very reluctantly, mostly because by the end of my meal here, the owner was like an aunt to me. Service was friendly, prompt, and even thoughtful, such as when my server saw that I was dining solitarily with a novel and suggested moving me to another table where there was more reading light. For my meal, I took a chance and strayed far from the more alluring but vegetarian-unfriendly lunch specials. Instead, I opted for an egg drop soup to start and Hunan style sautéed string beans. The egg drop soup was surprisingly thick and viscous, almost resembling a gelatinous porridge rather than a soup. After slurping down a bowl, I'm still not entirely sure if I'm a fan. The string beans were far more solid, having been cooked to a perfect, verdant tenderness and lightly smothered with a black sauce that gestured heavily toward oyster sauce. The sauce was sweeter than I would have preferred and I was slightly disappointed by the lack of spice, especially since the pepper icon on the menu suggestively hinted otherwise. Still, it was a fine meal and a rather generous portion at that, since I had plenty to take home. For the great service and the 'perfectly all-right' meal, Fang's is a solid gamble for Chinese takeout fare in the area.

I used to order from Fang's all the time, but lately their service and food quality has really taken a steep decline. My boyfriend and I tried to have the sushi roll lunch and bourbon chicken. While the hot food was ok, the sushi rolls were abhorrent. The rice was hard, the fillings were bad. The salmon was slimy, the spicy tuna just tasted like spicy cat food. The ginger tasted spoiled and the wasabi was not mixed properly so ended up tasting like tons of horseradish. I barely ate anything.

Lunch Special-Sesame Chicken. All white meat. Fried Rice.Broccoli and an Egg Roll.

Don't waste your time. Nothing was good at all. I only ordered because I didn't feel like driving, worst decision ever. I will NEVER order from here again. You do better with frozen PF Chang out the frozen section at your local supermarket. Waste of money.. Order at your own risk.. read more

I love asian food. I ordered Mongolian Beef, which I like, and it came put partly cold. One piece of meat was cold like faucet water and another piece wasnt even luke warm. I asked for it to be taken off the bill. I did not want a replacement. Im done with this place. Just another morally bankrupt restaurant hurling impoverished food out the service window without any diligence of the best for its customers. read more

We have dined or ordered from Fang's Cafe nearly a dozen times and have never been disappointed. One time the delivery forgot an appetizer item but they noted it in their system and proactively reminded us of our credit the next time we visited (great customer service!). The General Tso Chicken is our go to entree. The Crab Rangoon is above average and a staple on our order now. We have asked other patrons about the sushi on our visits and all have been positive. To date it's not the place we think of when sushi hits our radar but we look forward to trying it soon. The only item we would love to see improved is the wine quality but here again a Chinese Restaurant is not somewhere you go to have excellent wine. Highly recommend Fang's Cafe! read more

I was pleasantly surprised from the warm welcoming, attention of the waitress, and the quality of food served there. I strongly recommend this place. Nice decor and atmosphere, but most important the staff and food are just awesome. I will definitely come back there. read more

Excellent flavor on all items- Lunch special is an unreal deal with soup, egg roll and fried rice at no extra charge. I had the Shrimp with veg's and the entree probably had 8 or 9 full size shrimp for $6.95. Wonderful atmosphere and fast friendly service! Doesn't get any better than Fang's read more

The food is on the pricey side. 2.50 for one mochi ice cream. Highly disappointed in that. I tried their bubble drink and found it to be too sweet. I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet but will be back to try. Staff is super friendly read more

First time here and definitely not the last. Just went in for a quick bite. Place is very neat and clean. Nice decor. Staff very friendly and efficient. Had a Rock and Roll hand roll and the Yumi Yumi roll. Both were excellent and they do not skimp on the ginger (I love ginger) Cant wait to go back. read more

I hate giving one star to places but, this place has earned it. First lets get to the food it was ok your typical run of the mill take out flavor. I ordered the general chicken which was no different from any other I've had. The egg rolls were awesome!! No onto the service if you live outside of the 5 miles delivery radius then you have to pay 5 dollar delivery fee which is fine seeing that my house is only 6 miles away. Put what really got them the one star was the driver badgering me for extra tip! Will order from this business again read more

If you have small children this is not the place to go!! Customer service is poor and older gentleman is very argumentative and disrespectful! I went to Fang's Cafe today to get my kids some lunch. Immediately when I walked in the front door I was greeted with a " Is this to go!" by an older male. I should have walked out then but I was trying to give the gentlemen the benefit of the doubt! My son is only 3 years old. As we sat at our table and waited for our meal,this same gentlemen walked up to my son and told him not to touch the napkins sitting on the table. My issue is my son is a minor, he certainly isn't going to harm a napkin, and I was sitting at the same table and you didn't even bring your concerns to me you went straight to my 3 year old. I will NEVER be back and it is ashamed how you treat paying customers!!! read more

This is the best Chinese food in the area. We order delivery from Fang's almost once a week, we have strayed and tried many other chinese joints in the area just to compare. NOTHING compares! Their egg drop soup is delicious, very flavorful and not super watery like other places. My boyfriend loves the General Tso's which is lightly breaded and very good. I love their Lotus Chicken and I tend to order their sushi quite often. The Firecracker, Yumi Yumi, and R&B Rolls are my favorite. Their cucumber salad is great, crab puffs and egg rolls are always on point. I could go on and on, but to sum it up: if you're craving Chinese, go here. You will definitely leave happy! read more

We were drawn to this restaurant for sushi and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and their selection. So many rolls! Also tried their Kung Pao chicken with fried rice. Very tasty, good portion. We dined in on a Wednesday night and the place was fairly busy with a lot of carry out service. Check out their lunch specials. This will be our new spot for sure. read more

This place isn't that tasty. Rice tasted like cardboard. Food wasn't authentic by any means. Had too much sauce on everything. On the plus side, when they say it's spicy, it really is. We ordered fried rice, which is on par with what you get in the grocery freezer isle, but lesser quality. We also ordered Mongolian beef which was drowned in sauce. Too much for my taste. Seafood special had a few shrimp and that was about it. Also drowned in sauce. If you're into the wet and messy Togo plastic bag that will leave a mess wherever you place your food, this is the place for you! How in the world this this place get four stars? read more

Living in the Creekside area of the Woodlands makes this place very convenient, the fact that both Chinese and Sushi options are fantastic and they deliver, our go to for sure when it's not a Crust Pizza night. We ordered delivery. We also applied a coupon from the website to our order. They stated 45 mins for delivery and were more prompt than that. We ordered two combos of chicken and one vegetable/chicken. Overall, food was good. Two orders were to have white rice but they sent fried rice instead and we did not receive utensils with the delivery (forks, napkins) so we had to obtain these from store next door. I would order from them again but made personal note to verify the order when I place it and when delivered and to ask for utensils. The egg rolls were really good. read more

My coworker and I really wanted chinese takeout for lunch and read the reviews I'm the area. THIS PLACE SHOULD get ZERO stars but that is not an option.....our food did come on time which was super nice. WHEN WE WENT TO EAT our lunch it tasted re-heated. You could tell the chicken had not been fresh. The "fried rice" should be on the menu as fake ass fried rice...it was clearlywhirlte rice drenched in soy sauce. The rice literally in my box was half white. The Mongolian beef was tender but the veggies thrown in with it tasted raw like they were am afterthought during the preparation of my meal. VERY SAD we wasted 20 dollars on lunch here. I called back after being very upset we couldn't eat our lunch and the "owner" told me if I wanted a refund I had to produce the food to him. We threw it away in the dumpster and he told me to jump in there and get it out......NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE YELLED AT BY SOMEONE WHO WORKS HERE read more

I have eaten Chinese food from 7-8 places in NW houston/tomball and this is my favorite place. Every dish that I have tried is really good and I have tried about 10 different things. I have only ordered take out here, I have not dined in. Try the orange beef, it is great! They have never screwed up my to-go order, not even once. Most places give you the wrong food, or you are missing food or forks/soy sauce or something. That has never happened to me here. The one knock I have found is that their fried rice is pretty bland and not very good so I have taken a star off for that. Overall, its been 4-5 stars every time I have eaten from there. read more

Hubby and visit often, have never had a bad experience. Some of my favorites are the Shanghai shrimp, amazing chicken and more recently, the sushi. Their miso soup is better than some of the pricier restaurants in the woodlands. Can't go wrong with this place. read more

Not that many places in Tomball where you can get good sushi, I really enjoyed the sushi here. Their ice tea is fresh, and the wings are on point. The atmosphere is nice, and I like that they have the Spurs game on tv. They're short on waitstaff though, and the tables are not cleared, I would let that slide, if the food was a little cheaper. Love the food so much though, I will be back again =) read more

Fang's is absolutely my go-to place for amazing chinese food. Everything I've ever eaten here has been exceptional and the wait staff is super friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that I'm not as much of a fan of the sushi as I am of other places in the area, but it is still good and is a good price. Cannot recommend this place enough. read more

The dressing was fine, and I prefer onion soup to miso, so we were off to a decent start. The teppenyaki show was pretty basic, some fun stuff but not particularly advanced. Shogun's teppenyaki is all seasoned mainly with teriyaki sauce. All of our food was a bit overdone, not a lot but enough to notice. Vegetables were fine. We got the fried rice, which is more fun since it's prepared in front of us, but it was just fried rice and eggs and ended up very sticky. I didn't eat much of mine. The yellowtail roll was ok, the flavor did not jump out but it was good with soy sauce. The sushi was also just OK, the flavors kind of run together. Not a lot of crunch for a crunchy roll. We got our shrimp appetizer last because one of our party had a seafood allergy and they do the shrimp separately if you ask, which is good. The shrimp were prepared just right. The mango sorbet was probably the best thing about the meal. The sorbet is tasty and it's served attractively in a halved mango. I can recommend that. The mud pie is a purchased frozen dessert but it was good. Service was fine, the server was attentive and helpful and the chef did his bit competently. The overall impression I got about the place is that it's tired. The decor is very simple and hasn't been updated in awhile--everthing is brown. The wallpaper was installed some time ago with obvious seams. It is showing wear in several places. The bathroom was reasonably clean but the urinal had flushing difficulty. What the place needs is a makeover, from the decor to the menu to the teppenyaki presentation. It's acceptable but I've had better teppenyaki in several places.

Just left there and all the staff was incredibly rude. They were ignoring everyone and the staff seemed annoyed that so much business was coming through. I asked if they were still taking people for dine in, and the old man I asked started yelling at me and said, "Yes but you''re gonna have to wait!!" Everyone looked at him, he was so loud. That was unecessary, I was being polite, and soft spoken. No need for that lack of respect. First time I ever tried and I will never try to go there again. read more

My family has been coming to this restaurant for 2 years since we moved to the Woodlands. The food is always prepared fresh and the sauces are great no matter which dish you order.
