However, I used to drive 20 minutes from West Hartford just for a manicure. I fell in love when they did my wedding nails and jezebel (I believe that is her name) wrote "I do" in cursive on my ring finger and "love" on my right ring finger. She was so attentive and is very very creative. This place is a gem!

After not having a…read morepedicure for nearly six months due to COVID-19, I was so delighted to hear that Lovely Nails and Spa was reopening for business. Although I felt initially apprehensive, (as most people would be when venturing out after quarantine regulations slightly loosened) I immediately felt a sense of calm when I saw the safety precautions that were set in place. They are not accepting walk-ins, but it is easy to call and make an appointment. Once you arrive, you call them and they confirm your appointment. Then you have your temperature taken at the door. Face masks are required for the entire duration of service. Each pedicure chair and manicure station is separated by at least six feet. I got a regular pedicure and was very pleased with the service. My toes look great and the massage was so relaxing. The employees were kind, courteous, and so happy to be open again. They even gave me some discount cards for my next visit. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is eager to pamper themselves once again!

It's very important to me that the place is clean, plays relaxing music, and smells good - if a salon smells like the awful chemicals they use, I can't take it. We usually get regular pedicures and either regular or gel manicures. The nail techs always do an excellent job - thorough and precise. My mom has extremely short nails which she bites and they are kind and help her feel less embarrassed as they care for her hands and teach her to do better herself. It's a little pricey compared to my home state salon but I think it's standard for this area. There are many good reasons that keep me returning as does Mom who eschewed salons for years due to self-consciousness about her nails. Keep up the great job, Uponavon!
