Great service. Clean. Always does a nice job. Fairly priced. Usually walk in and not a wait

I love to come here for to get manicures, pedicures or my eyebrows waxed. They are also very friendly and keep the shop very clean. There was a period of time when I was getting gel nail extensions for over a year and I only had to come back every 4 to 5 weeks to get a fill in. When I decided to give my nails a break, I was surprised at how strong my nail bed still was. I go to Sarah for my gel fill ins and Jeremy for natural nails or pedicures, but the entire team is vey talented. I would definitely recommend this shop! read more

I've gone here twice in the past month and had my gel manicure chip almost immediately, staff not friendly, has gone severely down hill in the past few years read more

Made an appointment for a Saturday for four of us friends. Took a while to all get serviced but I guess there was a lot of people, which is surprising since it's appointment only. I decided to only do nails. Gel manicure $26. Basic pedicure which includes 5 min massage $20, massaging chairs are great. Pedicure stations have a timer so you know it's an exact 5 min massage. I recommend coming in on a weekday when it's more calm and relaxing. The owner is very nice and friendly and always makes me feel welcomed. Overall, it's great service with great prices. I drive here to do my nails even though there are a bunch of places near me. read more

I have been going here on and off for about 4-5 years. I used to LOVE this place! However, it's definitely hit or miss, depending on how busy / which tech you get. It seems like as they have gotten more customers, it's quality over quality. I went in for a gel manicure this past Monday right before vacation. The following day, the gel already chipped. I had to paint the tips with white nail polish where it chipped off. Also, I'm pretty sure they don't use the plastic bag coverings for the foot tub. read more

I have been coming to this place for years but today I was so disgusted I left before even finishing. I wanted to get my eyebrows done but while waiting to do so I saw all these bugs crawling everywhere on the floor when they brought me back to do they were in the table they wanted me to lay on and by the wax . Not sure I will ever be back. I pointed it out and they didn't seem to care. read more

Brother/sister day out; whats not to love? Started at this hidden gem after getting recommended it by a friend's mother and was pretty impressed by it. Now keep in mind I don't get them often enough to know what is great, good and mediocre. Called a little earlier for pricing and made a reservation for 10:45am; not needed on a Tuesday Morning but you never know. Came in a little early and the place was pretty quiet allowing us to get in and enjoy our pedicure for $20. A handout made it easy for us and the staff to understand what we were looking; there were other options and we were given a small water bottle. Feet were cleaned, nails were trimmed and bottom was scrapped wrapping it up with a nice leg massage while the chair was massaging my back. It was a fun time enjoying the company of my sister and didn't feel that awkward with the staff. My sister, her being her couldn't decide on a nail polish and the man was accommodating in letting her choose another one. I ended up with the clear coat. We were taken over to the drying station after our time in the water and was treated to another massage this time for our back, neck and scalp. I do appreciate that when they give a massage they really give a massage. Hidden away in the back of the plaza where a day care and Fancy Bagel is on the busy Route 6 in Farmington, you'll be wanting to come back here time and time again for your needs and you won't be disappointed. read more

I went in for two people $27.00 each pedicure and wanted gel polish and the total for us came out to $108.00 dollars. Never in my life have I been charged $20.00 for get polish each on top of the pedi price!! If that's what you charge then they should at least say its $20.00 each extra so the customer knows! read more

I was so happy when I first found them, but they've been going downhill lately. I've had issues with both gel polish and dip manicures lately. The last dip polish they did flaked off the top layer, leaving a rough layer underneath. It also started lifting off my nail before even a week had passed. By the end of two weeks, it was nearly off, trying to take my nail with it. It seems like they're taking a lot of shortcuts lately. No, or extremely short (1 minute) back rubs, barely any arm/hand massage after the manicure - the guy today wasn't even going to push back my cuticles or trim them until I asked. That's an awful lot missing for paying $35.00 read more

Had a great experience for my first time here! Very welcoming and friendly staff, great quick service with nice massages and clean equipment. At $10 for basic manicures and $20 for pedicures, this place can't be beat! I'll definitely be returning read more

1st let me mention this wasn't my 1st Time going here I've given them multiple chances and this is why now I'm taking the time to write this review : I had a pedicure and gel polish change .I don't like the fact that they don't speak English and when you ask them a question there annoyed, & aggravated by you .There Pedicure Tubs THEY DO NOT USE THE PLASTIC LINER IN THE TUB !!! As I had to wait a hour to get my gel nail polish change I was able to see how they cleaned the pedicure tub after each service Let me point this out if the health Department came in they would be fined as they are **NOT GETTING CLEANED & DISINFECTED PROPERLY **. My pedicure was done by a guy it was half ass fast he wasn't a people person and every time I asked him a question he had this look on his face that he was irritated, and that he didn't understand me ....When it was time for my 1 minute massage, with him he had one hand on the phone and one hand on my shoulder I felt very rushed . After my pedicure I had to wait an hour to get gel nail polish change , I went ahead and waited what I wanted was to have a gel fill They told me they didn't have time for that and she"ll do a gel polish change ,so I went ahead and got the gel nail polish within 2 1/half hours after when I got home, the polish was already chipping, POOR quality, nail polish, ... ***HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED ***I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THEM THERE A QUANTITY AND NOT BY ALL MEANS QUALITY BUSINESS !!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR SKIP GOING THERE FOR THERE SERVICES !! read more

I stumbled upon this place about 1-2 months ago while searching for a new place in between my new job in Farmington and my home in Bantam. I tried googling, yelping and nothing was helping me locate a salon that did Acrylics. So on my way home from work I stopped in at each salon I saw on the way. Luckily this was only the 3rd stop. The salon was gorgeous & clean. The spa chairs were the most viasually appealing that I had ever seen. They were amazingly friendly and give you a ridiculously good neck rub while you are getting a mani or while your nails are drying. They actually make it a point to try and remember you. Aside for the visuals and the hospitality their work is excellent. I went in this past Saturday to get a new Full Set and I couldnt be happier. FYI: They also do massages and waxing. read more

This is one of the best nail salons I have ever been to. The owner is extremely friendly, and always greets customers with a smile. The salon atmosphere is very clean and inviting. They offer bottles of water to each customer and have candy around to take. The pedicures, manicures, and eyebrow waxing come out great every time. Furthermore, the prices are competitive. I will continue to come here. read more

Excellent customer service, very clean and inviting. No reservations needed, however they do get busy at times and may not be able to accommodate. Upon arrival, they give a cold water bottle to each person. Everyone is very cordial and helpful, and they massage your neck and shoulders while you are having your nails done. If you pay cash, no taxes are deducted. They also have a rewards program and with every 10th visit, you get $10 off. Since I to 2x a month for my nails & pedicure, the owner always gives me a free eyebrow wax. Kids are welcome, I have brought my son and he would play with the massage chairs and eat endless complimentary lollipops! Highly recommend this place. read more

I've been coming here for 4+ years and their service is exceptional. I get a gel fill with gel manicure and the attention to detail is always great. She always gets the shape of my nail perfect. The extra at the end of the manicure are my favorite. She does massage, warm towels, lotions, cuticle oil etc. Most other places I've tried don't do those or charge extra for them and it really makes all the difference in the experience. My tech always remembers who I am and is very welcoming when I come in. read more

Had a mixed experience at this salon yesterday. I went with a friend to get a pedicure. The man who started my pedicure got snippy with me when I asked him to please remove his latex gloves, since I am allergic to them. He then went into a raging tantrum when I asked him to please wash his hands after removing the gloves. I'm sorry buddy, I don't want to drop dead in this salon from an allergic reaction. I was so pissed I was ready to walk out of the salon, but the owner came over and said that the angry man and the lady doing my friends pedicure would switch. All went well until my friend asked the angry man to file her nails down a bit more. He argued with her that they were too short already, and it started to get heated. The owner again came over, my friend explained the problem, and the owner took over from there and finished her pedicure. Angry man then disappeared. I believe, from watching him interact with myself and my friend, was that his poor understanding of English is the majority of his attitude problem. I think when I was trying to explain my latex allergy, he had zero comprehension of what I was saying. The lady who finished my pedicure did a wonderful job. They also give lovely foot massages, and shoulder massage as well. We were also given small bottles of water, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, my experience with the angry man there, and the fact that some of the employees wear latex gloves will probably prevent me from going back there. read more

Nice people, good prices, never a super long wait. However.... I've never seen them throughly clean the pedicure tubs with more than just a quick antiseptic spray. Gotta get in there better! Also, some of the employees smoke and come in after a smoke and do your nails and you can smell it so strongly. My hands actually smelled smokey after a manicure. A pet peeve of mine is when I don't see employees wash their hands when going from feet to hands to massaging shoulders of a completely different person. My toes felt a little itchy after last time... And a friend told me she got a fungal infection from her pedicure there. read more

Came to get a relaxing pedicure with my sister. Regrettably the technician cut my big toe so badly that it bled. I shared with the manager that her employee not only cut my big toe badly but didn't put on gloves when my it was bleeding profusely, nor did she go above and beyond to properly disinfect the spa tub that my toe bled in. They wiped it down and promptly put the next customer right in it. To make things worse when she smudged the nail polish near the cut, she put nail polish remover straight into the cut sending me to the ceiling with pain. After hearing my concerns the manager apologized, never bothered to speak to the employee or make any effort to move the customer in my spa tub and handed me the bill at the full rate no less. Never going back. Contemplating a call to the health department. read more

Second time I've been looking to give them my business only to be turned away because owner is "too busy", but only AFTER asking what I'm there for. Today I was there for an eyebrow wax and a gift card, but before I could even ask about the gift card she said "too busy honey" for the eyebrow wax. Should I have made an appointment for a 5 minute service? Perhaps. I have small kids, though, so I get out of the house when I can, and happened to have a minute today. Whatever, I'll spend my money elsewhere, and will gift an experience elsewhere. read more

I love it here. I got the 60 minute reflexology , a fill and a pedicure. I can tell you it was the most relaxed experience I have had. I will so go back again for the massage. 15 min in your back and 45 on your feet. Thank you Sarah my Nails look great !! read more

I love this place! Tina and her staff are terrific. I always leave here so relaxed. Prices are great too.

I agree with Laura ....this IS a hidden gem. Funny thing, I live within walking distance and didn't know it was here. I was going to another salon in Bristol for a few years. When a business is open at 10am ..then they should OPEN at 10. Multiple times I waited well over 20 min before they would show up....done with that! Smiling Nails has to be the best salon I heve ever been in. The cleanest ever! Jennifer who greets you , is the sweetest lady. My nails and pedicure done by Jason...fabulous job! I had a hot stone pedicure, just heaven. It's too bad the town has such small signs...very hard to see traveling on route 6. Turn in the driveway of Tractor supply and then tun left into small plaza with the bagel shops ...drive around the back .........give them a try, you'll be glad yo did!!! This has become my to to walk in nail salon. Most of the time theres no wait and they do a very good job.

I went for the first time today and I agree with other reviews. It seems clean there because it is a new salon. But I had a gentleman doing my pedicure and he cut my toe while cleaning my cuticles and although he saw I was bleeding, he tried to hide it by quickly shoving my foot back in the tub. When I realized he cut me because I saw the blood on the paper towel, I confronted him about it but he didn't speak English. I quickly took my foot out of the tub and I asked him to spray the antiseptic on it and he asked one of the women what I said and I told her I wanted it because he cut my toe and she ignored what I said too. I was not happy! I travel up here for work often and will be looking elsewhere to get my pedicures. read more

Came for a gel manicure which ended up being super rushed, she never cleaned the excess polish out from under Nails after filing and painting was done and there definitely was no hand massage just slathered some lotion on and then wiped it off with a hot washcloth. I asked if there was time for a polish change on my toes I made it clear that it was OK if it didn't happen today she insisted she could do it quickly and boy was it quick; she barely removed the original polish and when she put on the new one she left it smudged and did a horrible job. Reviews of this place were excellent I was very disappointed and will not be going back Gel manicure was $26 and polish change on toes with $12 not terrible prices but terrible service read more

This spa is a hidden gem! Tina and her staff will greet you with a smile and a bottle of water the moment you walk in the door! Best nail salon I have visited in the Farmington Valley. Clean, friendly, welcoming, and good prices. They did a fantastic job with my pedicure and gel manicure. They took their time and the finished product came out flawlessly- no bubbles or polish around the cuticle like I've gotten at other places. Come on, I'm paying good money for a pedicure please don't leave polish on my skin. I would definitely return to this place. They had 20% off when I visited, hopefully they still have the 20% off when I return, but even without it I would go back. Don't worry if there's a bit of a wait- just go to Fancy Bagels in the same plaza and have a bagel while you wait. read more
