Despite the long wait we had, our meal was really good! Don't let the outside appearance fool you! It is a nice place on the inside. They give you a complimentary crab tempura type of roll which is great. I wish they would put that on the menu. We started with the miso marinated Chilean seabass. It was served over black rice risotto. The seabass and the risotto was the perfect balance. It was amazing! For dinner, I ordered the sashimi deluxe which includes 21 pieces of the chef's pick of sashimi. The sashimi was so fresh. The white tuna is great. It tastes very creamy. I also ordered the white tuna jalepeno roll and the yellowtail jalapeno roll. They both were spicy and delicious. My wife had the sashimi also and was very happy. We will be back soon! read more

Originally i always order from sushi express. They have great sushi but when i started to have my rolls made without rice and delivered to the house i feel as if i got japped out of the full roll, was barley any veggies or fish in it and was packed terrible almost falling apart... i eventually said enough is enough as sushi isn't cheap and tried fancy Lee's. I was so shocked by the beautiful sushi delivered to me !! No rice but beautifully packed right filled with veggies and fish and all rolls accounted for ... and for the amount of money same as sushi express it was far more worth it also came with an appetizer i thought was only given when you dine there ... i will be returning to them for delivery's moving forward although i have to admit not sure if maybe it was just the day or not but the kAni salad had really no taste compared too sushi express so not sure if i will be getting that but overall not bad . Came here for my first time, my sisters suggestion. It was great. We ordered Rock shrimp tempura and the Indian pancakes for appetizers. The shrimp were perfect, the pancakes were even better!! It came with a coconut curry dipping sauce, sooo good! For dinner we ordered a black and pink roll, st. Patrick roll, tuna amazing and a California roll. Great food here. Asian restaurant converted from old diner. Great ambience but the place a tad small for big groups. We ordered a lot of food and don't recall any dish that wasn't great. Even the complimentary starter apps were terrific (crab cake I think). E for ehhh. Listen it's a hard business, restaurants just have a lot of competition but you're out there and the food must speak to you - i heard nothing. No flavor. Yes dishes were hot thanks to doordash, food looked clean, tasted fresh and was presentable but just no depth of flavors at all. I'm huge on Japanese and fusion establishments but the mark was missed here. Lo mein (a classic) had enormous garlic cloves in the dish, the miso soup was akin to powdered ramen flavoring, spicy tuna roll, eel and vegetable rolls were all just bland. Soooo the Homemade Wonton Soup is $7 and it's awful. Warm water and thin flimsy wrappers with hard meat in the middle that has no taste. The Gyoza were good, the shrimp with Broccoli had 5 shrimp in it and there wasn't much flavor at all to it. I've been looking forward to trying this place and I'm highly disappointed. read more

However they have the ABSOLUTE BEST seafood sweet and sour soup! It's chock full of shrimps scallops and calamari. They definitely don't skimp. The broth is divine and the mushrooms are plentiful. This place is our favorite sushi spot in Babylon. We have gone here several times now. It just edges out over the rest. Atmosphere: Nice semi casual atmosphere. Upbeat music is played at nice comfortable volume. Everything is always clean. Food and drink: Specials are always good to try, but dont feel rushed to do so... they stay for a while. Sushi here is always choice. The cocktails are also solid here as well, I like the gin fix. It's limited on beer but most sushi spots are. The appetizer that comes complementary is unique here and not to be skipped. Service is fairly standard and they are very prompt at getting you old dishes cleared. read more

This place has the worst customer service!! I called to put a takeout order in for food tonight and they said that I disputed a food order from them in November and becaUse of that they couldn't deliver to me anymore. Funny thing is they just delivered to my house last week and there wasn't a problem. I don't know whose account they were looking at but it certainly wasn't mine and after I asked them to look again and tell me what the name of the account was they yelled into the phone call another Chinese place and hung up without any further explanation!!! They may have the best Chinese food in Babylon Village but their customer service sucks and I will be telling everyone I know their exact words to me is to call Another Chinese place!!!! My friends and I come here for good, fresh sushi that's local for us (we're in Babylon area). The staff has always been beyond friendly and helpful and I have yet to have anything I didn't enjoy. That being said, I also get a spicy tuna hand roll to and then one of the signature rolls, I try to switch it up. Their edamame is amazing, the Shumai is awesome. Their two thumbs up roll is my absolute favorite, followed closely by the St. Patrick roll. It's 100% worth it. read more

This place is in my opinion one of the few good Asian restaurants in long island. I went here for my birthday with my bf and two friends. We got a few appetizers which were really good. I ordered the "two thumbs up" sushi and it was good too! The sushi pieces were pretty big too...I got full like half way (maybe because of the appetizers too). Then after we were done, one friend told the waiter it was my birthday and he said he'll get me cake. I was surprised because I didn't expect that (it ended up being on the house). It was a warm chocolate cake with warm fudge, a scoop of red bean ice cream on top and some whipped cream. Soo gooood. Fancy Lee also came out to ask us if everything was good haha. read more

I've always avoided this place because the outside was less than pleasing to the eye, but the inside is newly renovated, clean and hip. The staff was attentive and very sweet. Amazing! I came here because of the other reviews and I am happy to say it was worth it. The FREE sushi appetizer you get is unbelievably yummy. The rolls are amazing, as well. A huge plus is that they do 8 piece rolls instead of 6 pieces. Their fusion dishes are inventive and just SO good. Their 'fancy' rolls are unique, as well. What a pleasant surprise. This place used to be a diner, and from the outside still looks very much like a 1950's bus style diner converted into a cheap Chinese restaurant. But once inside, the old counter has been converted into a modern bar and the booths remain tiled along the windows but updated with leather upholstery. The rear opens up into a comfortable well appointed dining room with large booths, comfortable tables some nice chandeliers and a big screen TV mounted to the back wall. Nicer than most Asian restaurants we've been to in the area. The service was stellar. Food served hot and quick. They range from Chinese food to Japanese to Thai. We tried a little of everything, but I'd say they definitely lean more on the Japanese side, with a large selection of sushi. The kids had children "boxes" which came on large glass plates and PLENTY to eat. My daughter and I split shrimp pad thai (very good. But I've had better), a duck roll and white geisha roll. All of which were on point. Definitely glad we gave this place a try and will be returning. read more

It's a damn shame that this place didn't offer better sushi rolls. Yes, they pride themselves on Asian fusion, but if more than half of their menu is sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls, then they better make sure that that half of the menu tastes amazing, too. I've tried sushi rolls in many a place, so I'm comfortable saying that their standard rolls tasted bland. My dad ordered a specialty roll, and we both found that an excessive amount of different types of sauces were used to top the rolls and ultimately add "flavor". We ordered the duck roll appetizer which was tasty and they offered a complimentary small dish of a starter which was also yummy so I can't say that everything they have is mediocre. If and when I return, I'll make sure to wear less of my favorite clothing as I walked out of there smelling like food. read more

Tried this place 10 times already and each time it has been spot on! Food is fresh, high quality and delicious plus the sushi is phenomenal. There are not many places I trust enough to order sushi at but Fancy Lee has the freshest most delicious sushi around. We ordered the Ganga roll this past visit yum and then the Chilean Seabass and the Peppered Beef Cubes. Both fulfill of fresh veggies and the sauces were great. Sweet orange for the fish and smooth brown for the beef. The beef was tender and so flavorful. When we had one bite and it was inedible, the server wouldn't refund or change the meal. Wontons were not good and very chewy. I hear the sushi is good, but won't be back to try it. But, the food, in my opinion, is mediocre. The sushi is nothing special. (If you want good sushi, go around the corner to Kotobuki). As far as cooked entrees, it's very so-so. I love this place for everything that it is. It's in an old diner but the back room is lit like a sushi lounge. It can get a little too dark for my liking, but if you don't like that experience, sit towards the front of the restaurant where everything is lit. The owner Lee is friendly and great. I used to go to Sakura for all my sushi in Babylon, but Lee has got the Asian Fusion dishes down. It's nice to go here to get unique creates that you can't find elsewhere like the Zombie Wrap (essentially a sushi burrito) or the Tuna Wasabi dumplings (not what you're currently picturing in your head). They have a full bar with a good drink selection, and the weekly specials never disappoint. Definitely add it to your must-try list. read more

My wife and I walked in on a Friday night without a reservation and was told the wait would be about 20 minutes, It was more like an hour, but on the bright side we did have seats at the bar, even though getting another round from the friendly but seemingly overwhelmed bartenders was difficult. We were seated in the back corner in a booth, and ordered several apps along with a couple rolls to share. The Crispy Grand Marnier prawns were good, but I think it was a little too saucy and wish they offered it on the side for dipping. The Claypot Beef was good, sizzling as it came out with tender beef along with well cooked flavorful veggies. The Slow Cooked Baby Back Ribs were very tender and had a nice sweet sauce but I wish they were finished off on the grill for a little char and texture. The Hama Hama Oysters were disappointing. They were filled with spices and just flavors that overpowered the natural flavor of the oyster; i wound up cleaning out the oyster of all the frills for a cleaner taste. The rolls were nothing amazing also. splitting the St. Patricks, and Spring Breeze, but the sauce on the rolls was overpowering and didn't let the fish shine through. All in all it was OK, but I was looking to have my socks blown off from the reviews I read and that didn't happen. Probably won't go there on a special trip but may return again just out of chance. read more
