Let me start by saying these are not licensed massage therapists. However, both my husband & I have been coming here with excellent results. We traditionally get an hour & a half massage for under $60! Yes, the rooms are not luxurious & depending on how busy they are, you may hear sounds that you wouldn't otherwise hear at a massage where you pay more than twice for a 1 hour massage. Those who have criticized, in my opinion, really need to rethink what they're paying for. If silence is your goal, go to a licensed practitioner and pay $120 or more for a 50 - 60 minute massage. I've gotten those massages and I have not walked out feeling any different than I do when leaving Fancy Foot Spa. As to the comments regarding tipping, I would suggest those reviewers are ignorant. When you are paying a very low price for what gives you great relief, I'd suggest to you that using a 20% formula is ridiculous. A $20-$25 tip should be the minimum tip on a massage, especially one that gives the level of relief my husband I, & The many friends who have also enjoyed massages here, get! The place is dark and dingy with beach towels covering the chairs which you sit on for your foot massage . They do not wash your feet in hot water like other places (i.e. Happy feet ) The foot massage was a 7.5-8 on the pleasure meter . cost is $25 dollars for one hour After I paid and went to tip the 20% ($5). The man complained that it wasn't enough . At first I was taken back and left. But then I realized this guy just rubbed my feet for one fuckin hour and that my life is probably better than his , so I went back in and gave him another 5 bucks . My massage was really great only to be spoiled at check out. I received a gift certificate, from a co-worker, for a massage and foot rub. So I went to Fancy Foot Spa to redeem my gift. When I was done I presented the gift certificate to the woman at the counter (which seemed to piss her off immediately). I only had $8 cash, so I gave it to the gentleman who did my massage. Then the woman at the counter began yelling that I should be tipping $15 for a $29 service! Very rude! Way to ruin a Christmas gift! read more

This place is great. I used to go to "Happy Feet Spa" across the street. It seems to be that they closed down. The signs are down and the windows are empty. Anyways, back to this spa. I walked in there around 8:00 at night looking for a body massage and foot rub. They gladly got me in a super clean and comfy looking room. I asked for a girl masseuse. They gave me a girl without no problem. I asked for a girl because I am a young girl and feel uncomfortable with a male masseuse. The massage was amazing. The woman was able to get all the knots and tense muscle out of my back. They don't make you feel uncomfortable and they make sure that you are not in pain and they ask if the stones are at a good temp etc. It was a total of $29.00. So I gave the masseuse a $15.00 tip and the man who rubbed my feet $10.00 . I don't understand how people can try to give such a bad tip after someone just rubbed your entire body FOR AN HOUR and you wanna give less than $10.00. Please understand that they are people just like us, and they have a job. They are trying to make money just like any of us. I went to this massage spot at the recommendation of one of my coworkers. They have a special for ladies on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday that includes a body massage (60 minutes), foot massage/reflexology (30 minutes), and free hot stone usage (~10 of the 60-minute body massage) all for $29. I thought I couldn't lose with the recommendation from a friend and the price, but I was very wrong. The actual spa was neat and clean with nice lighting and background music; the atmosphere was quite nice. However, the massage was the worst I've ever had. First of all, none of the staff really speaks English. My massage therapist was kneading too hard, and despite my 7-8 (literally) tries to tell him he's hurting me (not including involuntary jerks and grimaces of pain), he still wouldn't ease up. I also tried to tell him that the stones were too hot when he put them on my body and tried to explain that they needed to cool down, but he didn't understand. It was far from being the relaxing 1.5 hours I expected. When I went to pay with my card, I tried to ask if there would be a line on the card for tip. The lady who ended up ringing me up (because the massage therapist didn't know how) told me to tell her the total amount (FYI, there is a tip line on the receipt). I planned to give a 20% tip, which I thought was generous for the horrible massage I had. However, the person at the register scoffed when I told her the total and starting speaking to my massage therapist in their language. A regular customer in the room eventually translated that the minimum tip is $10 for the body massage and $5 for the foot massage. I definitely didn't know that, and ended up paying a total of $46. I wouldn't have paid that much if I had a choice, but I felt pressured since they asked for that amount, which I thought was extremely rude and tacky, especially when I hated the experience and service. Now 24 hours later, I am in massive pain (more so than when I went in). Furthermore, I have some mild bruising on my lower back, neck, and shins... I guess I can't speak for all the therapists, because some may be better, but on the whole I really do not think anyone should go here regardless of prices. Good luck if you do!! read more

I actually love this place. I always get the same guy, Han.. I am not sure of the name of the guy who does the feet, and he does not speak a tremendous amount of English. However, he gives a hell of a massage. The place is quiet, clean ,warm, and they pipe in soothing relaxation music. Parking is easy. Coco is also really good. Monday ladies special is a winner 60 minutes massage ,and 30 minute foot massage $29.00. I tip big because it's deserved. I go a minimum of once a week, in the winter when I have more time I raise the bar to a minimum of twice a week. read more

Those who are not familiar with how to tip out for services within a day spa shouldn't be able to write a review. Stated differently, a $36 spa treatment for 1 1/2 hours should be tipped out between $20-$30 for the total spa experience. $20 - $25 tip for the body massage, $5-$10 tip for the foot massage. $36 cost of spa services $30 tip for spa services $66 total cost due for spa services + tip This place is very quaint but services are very good. The three "stay-aways" represent the total number of quiet minutes that I had this afternoon at this...mmmm..."massage parlor", or should I say "mistake parlor" Since the room doors don't reach the ceilings and the accordion doors belong in my basement, you can only imagine the noise coming from the other rooms. Wendy is great! If they give you the option between cream or oil for the whole body massage, go with the latter - and don't be afraid to ask them to go harder. Personally, I like the hot stones but I know many people aren't a fan. As for the foot massages, I don't like the way the men do it. The ladies are much better, in my opinion. Bring a friend or significant other and request for the couple's room on the first floor, not the basement. Just called them and was told my usual guy had quit they actually said you can try someone else and if you don't like it "don't come back we don't care." Talk about being rude! I have overlooked their rudeness and lack of some sanitary issues and such in the past but this is just too much. Owners recently changed, no longer do the $29 special. Staff is also different and much less skilled unfortunately. Even the way they do the body massage (what they massage and for how long) has completely gone down in quality. Today the lady doing my full body massage spent most of the hour digging her elbow into all my bones and at least 15 minutes just rubbing oil on my nose and forehead. The woman who did my leg massage basically just lightly rubbed my skin. After asking her to massage a bit harder, she basically just dug her knuckles into my heel (who even likes that anyway? What is that helping?) but otherwise didn't work my feet at all. Didn't communicate with staff too much but most of them seemed nice, even if under skilled. read more

Just left Fancy Foot Spa quite abruptly after I left my hour massage within 10 mins. I requested a female which took quite some time to enter my room. As my massage began, the man in the room next to me began moaning and groaning. He was saying "I'm going to need to call an ambulance" repeatedly. He was giggling and saying "omg". He was extremely loud and honestly I couldn't help but think there was not just a massage going on in there but a happy ending massage. I asked the girl massaging me to stop and I told her I couldn't stay and listen to whatever was going on next to me. She asked if I wanted to switch rooms but I didn't think it would make much of a difference as this man could be heard through the whole facility. She then asked if I wanted her to tell him to be quieter. I got dressed and when I met her at the front desk she said I didn't have to pay. I mean why should after my peaceful massage was not so peaceful and cut 50 mins short. I think a little more than massaging may be going on in this place. read more

BEWARE! This has got to be the worst massage and experience my wife and I have ever had. We first make an appointment to have a couples massage and asked what is included in the price so the woman says 60 minutes on your back and 30 minutes on your feet for $36. Sounded great and worth the price. We went in and they got to work on the massage on us. Both my wife and I were telling them to be more gentle but apparently that meant to almost break my back in two. After an hour they said ok finished and left the room. We waited a few minutes to see if they would come back in the room to finish the foot massage too but they didn't. We got dressed and went to the counter and she said ok the total is $72 cash or $78 credit. We said but that was just an hour. What happened to the foot massage? She said something in Chinese to her scheming staff and she quickly tried to make it seem like she didn't try to steal from the massage we paid for. She told us "oh yea the foot massage is done here". So apparently the way they do things is to have their customers get all dressed again and then take off their shoes again in a different room (that's if they realize that they tried to scheme on the foot massage). So we take off our shoes and two other people started massaging our feet. They try very hard to be smart but it's obvious they try to milk you for every dime you have. So now we have to pay two separate people for the foot massage? Really classless. So anyways, we end up finishing up and I go to give them their tip. I gave them a 20% tip and paid the foot massage guys separately too but that wasn't enough in their eyes. The woman stopped us and said its not enough and that the tip for a back massage is $15 and foot is $5. So I have to pay close to a 60% tip? Yea F-cking right. So they tell us that our backs were hard to do and tried to get us to pay them some ridiculous tip. I threw the 20% tip in her face and walked out. Stay away from this hell hole. This foot spa is right next to my yoga class. So one day after class I decided to go for a foot spa massage. First of all there is small parking lot so that's a big plus. A lot of the foot spas on Northern Blvd only has street parking. When I walked in I was greeted by a young lady at the front desk. Not too friendly but polite. The place looks decent and clean and the chaises are roomy and comfortable. The foot massage is $25 for 60 minutes or you can go for a combo package of 30 minutes foot and 60 minutes body for $36 which I think is a really good price. I didn't choose the combo package because I wanted to see how the foot massage was. My masseuse was a guy and I think he did a pretty good job. Also not too friendly but polite. Much to my surprise, more customers came out of the back room so I assumed they just finished their body massage. I originally concluded that their business was not that good because initially I saw only one other customer in the main foot massage are but as time went by more customers walked in. Overall I think it's a pretty decent foot spa but don't expect friendly greetings with big smiles from the staff. Nonetheless, they are polite and do say thank you. I will definitely try the $36 foot and body for my next visit. read more

This is the last time going to a bodywork salon, as i have decided it is better to pay a little extra for an appointment with a licensed therapist. Fancy Feet is only a good place if you need a massage at the last minute. Overall the massage was good and atmosphere was clean, what I found disappointing was the pricing. Before I explain I would like to note that I understand tipping etiquette. With that said most bodywork places are inexpensive, compared to going to a licensed masseuse at a private office or fancy salon. I will tip generously and according to the pricing. $36 is inexpensive for a 90 minute massage, but not when they suggest a minimum tip that is half the price of your massage. I'm not cheap,but I find it one unprofessional and gross to suggest the tip amount, especially after the tip is given. Secondly, they are not a licensed massage therapists. If I wanted to pay 75-100 for my massage I would have gone to a professional. read more

A decent price with decent quality. Not a bad place to go but they do not speak much English. Luckily I am not a chatty person either.
