I honestly don't know why this place has such a low rating. This is coming from someone who use to make donuts for a living. The owner is always so nice and greets you immediately. Donuts always taste fresh, you can tell they clean their oil. Quick service and they offer quite an arraybit of breakfast sandwiches. read more

We love this place. They have a very large selection of donuts and breakfast sandwiches. The food always tastes fresh and the woman who works there (sorry, don't know her name) is always very friendly. Yes, it's a small and older shop as others have pointed out, but I don't go there for the decor. read more

Place is very dirty and they false advertise their prices. I walked in to see directly in front of me a list with pictures of breakfast sandwiches with the prices next to them. The doughnut prices were on top with the prices clearly marked. When I ordered two doughnuts and a sandwich, the price was jacked up! When I asked the lady how much each item was, she seemed to be bothered while informing me. I suggested that she revise her price menu so people don't get confused. She rudely responded...."ok, I change just for you" as if I suggested something bad. Besides the rude and false pricing, it seems to be a homeless camp inside and outside the shop. One of the homeless men inside the shop even had a very foul odor. Not a good environment overall......rude service, false advertising and a dirty environment. read more

I had a small apple fritter. It was good and very fresh. I like that they offer a small sized fritter in addition to usual sized. There's a rack of coffee cups on the wall with regulars' names on them. It's a cute idea. The service was slow and the lady waiting on me couldn't prioritize her tasks. She kept stopping to do other things that could wait, like filling the meat trays for sandwiches at 6am rather than helping the only customer there just ordering three donuts.. I waited to order, then I had to wait to pay. I had to actually call her over to ring me up. As I walked out I noticed there was a stack of dirty 5 gallon buckets sitting next to the door. I don't know what the other reviews are so bad. I like this donut shop and come here often. They have a okay selection of donuts. Usually, they are out of Donut holes that I like so I have to go earlier to get them. Never had old donuts here and never gotten sick. Coffee is okay I like the selections of to-go drinks. read more

I've grown accustomed to hearing, "we're out of that." I've tried coming here on 3 occasions to order various items and on all 3 occasions they've been out of whatever it was I was looking to order at the time. This particular morning, they were out of croissants for a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. They were also out of cream filled bars. Previously, they were out of cinnamon rolls and before that they were out of apple fritters. This place is a bit more than an ordinary donut shop, offering items such as Thai tea and meaty breakfast sandwiches. Aside from that, their donuts aren't anything better than I'd find at any average donut shop. There really isn't anything to shout about at this place and thus far my experience has always been tainted with an irritating lack of menu items on hand. What's the point of having these things displayed with pictures on the counter top menu signs and overhead menu board if you aren't going to have them readily available? And it's not like I'm coming at odd hours. I work early and take my lunch at 8:30 AM. Quite frankly, there are far better donut shops out there. I really wanted to like and support this place since I work in the area and like supporting local businesses, but this place leaves a lot to be desired. read more

The donuts here are reasonably price. The freshness was hot and miss? One donut was fresh today my friends was not? Normally they're very good. However because of the cleanliness I won't cone back. Today the windows were all filthy with drips an smears from the front door all the way across the restaurant? It looks like they have not cleaned in months. There's Co Webb's on the ceiling. This place was going to be my permanent donut shop because he makes breakfast sandwiches however he likes to put 2% milk in his half and half carton and I confronted him about it and he told me it was half and half however later that day I started puking on the side of the road because of the coffee he give me... so I came in the next day I told him that the milk was bad and that it was not half and half and he just told me that he doesn't take coffee seriously..... so I'm never coming back to that place ever again read more

I love their croissant egg sandwiches, however, I won't be going back. I order the sandwich with egg whites because I have food allergies when I eat straight egg yolks. At first they made my order no problem but then they started complaining that it was too hard and time consuming to just use the whites. We went the other day and they made a big deal about it, saying they wouldn't do it anymore for us. Seems completely ridiculous, especially since we're paying and they have an egg white option on their menu. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I decided to try this place out to get donuts for my work team despite the bad reviews and am pleasantly surprised. The donuts are pretty good and the lady that helped me was nice and helped me carry everything to my car. Also got some croissants and they are pretty good. read more

In Galt for baseball tournament and kids were begging for donuts. I googled Donuts near me! It pulled up Fancy Donuts. I figured great lets try it. Its fancy right!?! It was around 9am and we walked in to a NOT fancy place, it wasnt dirty but it was old and outdated inside, it was dark and no one was there. A donut shop on a Saturday morning should have people there! Then we ordered a dozen donuts. We figured lets try one of everything, first glance looks like normal donut options. But they didnt have many options. Chocolate and Maple bar were not fully frosted and very dry inside. Old fashioned donut was very dry and crunchy on outside like it had been at least a day or two old. Sprinkle donut dry and not flavorful. Raspberry filled was ok, the filling helped to not notice the dryness of the donut. The cinnamon roll donut was ok but not enough cinnamon. The chocolate cinnamon butterfly donut was better and seemed to be fresher than any other donuts. They were out of donut holes and muffins so we didn't try those. We were served by what seemed to be a mom and young son. Both very nice. We will not be visiting again. read more

I purchased 2 apple fritters today both of which were clearly old and not freshly made. They were greasy and when opened up they were filled with black dots that appeared to be mold. Very disturbing. Maybe its because I go there around 12, but when I go the donuts usually taste hard. The woman who works there is a bit cold and hard. She barely smiles and is a bit rude. The man who works there is a lot more friendlier and more generous than his wife. He will usually give me something a bit extra- whether it is his greatful attitude or an extra donut. Its because of him I return to this establishment. But his wife can certainly take some lessons in hospitality. FYI: When you talk about people in another language, make sure they don't understand!
