I would have had to pay $4 extra for bacon.

I was irritated the first time I left this review but cooler heads prevail. I was primarily irritated by the $6 Orange Juice (x2) and the service. I still think the OJ is absurd but I have been in here a few times since and the staff is very friendly and efficient. As far as the first visit goes, it was toward end of rush when the place was emptying out and people get tired. It's all good. The vibe here is also pretty cool. Famous Toastery isn't the best breakfast place I have ever eaten at but it's definitely above average and a solid choice (minus the OJ).

Always enjoy a weekend brunch at Famous Toastery! Service is always friendly and overall vibe is enjoyable!

The famous toastery is the perfect place to get breakfast. The food is great, with a variety of different foods from cinnamon rolls to pancakes to breakfast burritos. The place itself is great, the town of Davidson is beautiful with a wonderful brick downtown area, and the restaurant represents this, with a casual but pretty environment. It's also a very friendly place where essentially everyone there is very nice. The service is great, all the waiters and waitresses are very kind and make great conversation. It's very popular and fills up if you get there after 9 or 10, but overall just a great place to get breakfast.

Five stars for the managment, kitchen staff, and great food that saved my wedding! I was supposed to get married in Asheville on September 28th but Mother Nature had other plans. Due to what can only be described as a series of miracles, we were able to leave the home we were staying in and the western part of the state. Feeling lucky, grateful and very humbled by the devastation witnessed, we decided to continue with our plans to tie the knot. My Dad arrived at opening on Sunday September 29th and shared our story with Brent. Brent immediately jumped into action creating a menu of sandwiches and sides to feed our guests. The food was absolutely delicious. While I imagine it wasn't easy for the staff to pull this together on a weekend morning with such short notice, I am so appreciative of their kindness and generosity. Thank you, Famous Toastery Davidson Team.

Good solid brunch chain in Charlotte. Everyone serves every table and they all share the tips. Food was very good. We had the stuffed French toast and breakfast quesadilla. Both had good flavor and were very good. When we told the waitress we were new to the area she notified the manager and he stopped by to welcome us to the area.

The service was excellent! Our server came to check on us in just the right amount of times. Cute place! And the food was just perfect! We will definitely return during our stay here. We were surprised that when we arrived at 8 am, we were the only ones there! While we were there a few other people arrived.

First time ever eating at this restaurant. I've seen several locations over the past year but finally stopped to eat lunch ! Wow what a mistake waiting so long to eat here . It was delicious! I tried the build your own omelette. Added everything you could to it ... fully loaded ! My hubs had the stuffed French toast with strawberries. We shared both ! Both were fantastic! Service was spot on and very attentive wait staff made for a perfect meal. Apparently the Davidson location was one of the first . Our server had been there over 6 years. That tells me it's a great place to work as well as eat ! Two thumbs way up!

This is such a gem right downtown across from Davidson Campus. Signage is very good and 2 hour parking is excellent right in front of the business. Staff accommodated our wish to set outside at one of two tables that allowed for a beautiful view of the town and people watching. Of course I think it's a bit safer too with COVID. The dining room is open and they were busy. You can use a QR code to order or they have paper menus. The breakfast/ brunch and lunch menu is available all day. It's large with a variety that can work for everyone. Our male waiter wore a mask and was very friendly to all our needs during the service. Other staff also assisted as it was explained they help each other out. Service was efficient with food hitting the table within 15 minutes after order. My avocado dish with eggs over easy and fried up potatoes was scrumptious! The coffee was great too! My daughters pancakes were huge with crisp bacon. The bacon was tasty and dressed out with seasoning of some type. The temperature was correct on all our dishes. The only hiccup to me was not bringing extra napkins without requesting. A pet peeve of mine. Once napkins were requested they were delivered immediately. Checkout can be by card to the server or online, look for info on the receipt. Of course cash is welcome. A female server took my card and returned in minutes. I would love to return the next time.

The place is charming and with two outdoor seating areas, its spacious.

The good: food is fast and flavorful. It was a bit salty for me, but overall well cooked and presented. The staff! You can ask anyone for help. That's a big plus when the place is busy. Nice bathrooms and the out back seating is lovely. We had breakfast, but you can also order lunch all day, too. The bad: the salt factor might be of concern for those with high blood pressure. Maybe ask for no added salt. The ugly: nothing. It's a real cafe with a great people who take pride in making a great breakfast or lunch.

Very poor service. Eggs and sausage arrived nearly cold. Stale, cold bread. The worst coffee I have had since London. Never again.

Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. Fresh Egg you cracked the code.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a great atmosphere and a welcoming vibe that makes it an enjoyable place to spend an evening. The location is convenient, and the space feels fresh, modern, and inviting. The service was also a highlight of the experience. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the meal enjoyable from start to finish. The restaurant is known for its casual yet upscale ambiance, which definitely came through during our visit.  Where the experience fell a bit short for me was the food. Everything was prepared well and perfectly edible, but nothing really stood out or felt especially memorable. It wasn't bad by any means--just not quite at the same level as the atmosphere and service. I went for the lobster tail ravioli, and it was just a bit too chewy for my taste. I was hoping for a dish that would make me eager to come back, but that didn't happen on this visit. I could, however, come back. I would give it a second chance and would like to try drinks from the bar.  Overall, Torrence and Knox is a great spot for the ambiance, service, and overall dining experience. If you're looking for a comfortable place to meet friends, enjoy drinks, or have a relaxed night out, it's definitely worth a visit. I'd return for the atmosphere alone and would be interested to try more of the menu in the future.

This was our first time here, and it's a very nice venue. To start, their coffee is delicious and strong. I had the Double Up, with scrambled eggs (with added cheddar), bacon, sausage links, sourdough toast, and fruit. My husband had the Short Rib Hash with a side of potatoes. He forgot the hash also had potatoes, and should have gotten something else, because he had far too many potatoes! My scrambled eggs were a little over cooked and the cheese was only melted on top (rather than being mixed in), but they were still decent. The bacon was perfectly crispy--as requested, and the sausage links were fine. The sourdough toast was buttered and delicious. And the fruit had watermelon--a nice addition to the usual fruit cup. My husband's short rib hash was good. The eggs were perfectly medium, but the potatoes were a bit salty. Easy Like Sunday still makes our favorite version of this dish.
