I've often had a hard time placing Kohl's in the past. Department store? Discount store? Well…read moreuntil this location opened, honestly I can't say I gave them much of a second thought - it just wasn't somewhere that tended to leap out on my list of places to go. If I wanted real discount and clearance bargains, I'd go to somewhere like Gordman's, if I wanted the strip-mall department store experience I'd go to JC Penney. Well you can have it all in one location! Because to me that's just what it is, and once you learn to love them for what they are, you'll keep going back. The initial lure was the $10 coupons we kept getting in the mail, and still do. They're great, and you can find some good bargains here regardless of the coupons or not but I do feel the need to mention I actually managed to buy a really awesome shirt here for (yes) 43 cents with the help of one of those coupons! Who can complain at that? This is a pretty big store, well organized and easy to navigate around. Definitely seems to be better than other Kohl's I have visited in the past, and checkout is always fast and friendly. I've always been oddly fascinated by the LCD price displays, sure it shouldn't be unusual in our modern world and for me as a technology professional just seems to make sense, especially if you're doing a lot of price changing and discounting - but even in this day and age it's a novelty and actually they are big enough to be useful and saves a lot of the usual hunting for price labels. I admit it makes you wonder if the store is owned by the Borg collective, but I'm happy to report they only run Ross Dress for Less stores and Kohl's will not attempt to forcibly assimilate you with anything other than good deals and merchandise.

The amount of my refund was far below what I paid. I was told I'd have to go home and buy the next size up then bring both pants in if I wanted a full refund. I did this and somehow the next size up is also too small. I go back and bring both in and am offered the same small refund. They don't refund your shipping cost even if you're exchanging for size because their sizing is weird and you are for sure buying the bigger item! So in the end, I have a pair of too small pants that cost me $57 when they retail for $35

This is the most whimsical clothing store I've ever set foot in. When I visited, I didn't know what…read moreI was getting myself in to, but I was in awe looking around at the darling decor and the fairytale clothing. I was looking for something very specific, and not the style of the apparel here, but I enjoyed browsing a bit. I was greeted by two different sales people who, after saying hello, quickly walked the other direction. Maybe if they'd engaged with me, I might have been encouraged to stay longer. But if I need a flowy dress for a tea party, I know where I can find one.

Altar'd State might just be my all-time favorite clothing store. Some people work hard so they can…read morebuy a house, some people work hard so they can get a nice car...I work hard so I can get what I want at Altar'd State. Ironically, every time I go into this dang store, I say to myself, "I am just going to browse" and then I leave with multiple bags. A $100 visit to Altar'd State or a $100 visit to a therapist? Don't bother convincing me to go see Kathleen, LCSW again; I already swiped my card at this gem of a store. I am still trying to convince Blue Cross Blue Shield to reimburse me for the dress and shoes I purchased the other day. The first time I found Altar'd State, I thought to myself, "what the heck is that place?". From the outside, it looks like a literal chapel. The inside is just as breathtaking too. This specific location is located right within Mountain View Village so you can get anything else done while you are in the area. The location is absolutely perfect. They have doors on either side that you can walk through. The doors are a bit heavy but they even have a beautiful touch to them. When you walk inside, you immediately get a wiff of a fresh aroma. I love how it smells in here! As aforementioned, the overall vibe in here is amazing! They have a water ball (? I don't know what else to call it) near the check out area that is really fun to look at. The ceiling and the chandeliers are beautiful...AND the products they sell are amazing of course!!! I don't know who is designing this stuff and I don't know how much they make...but it is not enough. Every time I go into Altar'd State and try something on, it feels like it was literally made for me. I have found so many things I cannot live without while I have been browsing this store. So so so many beautiful shirts, dresses, shoes, you name it. The pricing depends on how you look at it. Typically their pieces start at $70-$80. They are definitely a bit steep. However, they do have a clearance area near the fitting room with some killer deals! I have spent $80 on a few items but I have also bought stuff for as low as $9.99. As much as I love this, it does kind of become a punch in the gut with how it went from $80 to $9.99... I have found cute shoes here and there is so many cute dresses I have found here and wear religiously. Their products are all great and I would definitely rather find cute products in the clearance section but sometimes I can't help but buy the item while they have it in my size and everything. On more than one occasion, I have found ranch inspired products, like a $14 dish towel that says "Ranch dressing is a blessing". I am glad we are on the same page, Altar'd State. The staff is always really nice and helpful. They greet people at the door without being super pushy, like car salesmen. When I was changing in the fitting room, the girl knocked, addressed me by name, and asked me how I was doing & if I needed anything multiple times. Things like this can really go a long way. The cashiers are always quick and nice. I have truly never had a bad experience here in that regard. I am obsessed with Altar'd State and I will continue going back for many many years to come. I tell all my friends how awesome it is and like I said, I can't leave this place empty handed. I can't say enough good things about Altar'd State!!

I haave always ordered online with anthropology. On a recent trip to Salt Lake City, four hours…read moreaway, I was very disappointed. I bought a pair of boxers. Waited online for at least ten minutes, online there were other customers in the line. The sales person was talking with her friends. Once rung up and departing to a doctors appointment I headed out. Coming home to realize she never took the security tag off. Not to worry I thought, I have always had a good experience with Anthropology. No, not this time after several days of being on chat and passes around still no where. Just an apology that " I hope your experience in the future with us is better".. Better? I guess I won't purchase in store again, also leaving a bad feeling about the company overall with how this was handled.

After going to Anthropologie 3-4 times a week for 6 months. I wanted to update my review. Take my…read moreopinion with a grain of salt because I'm a male shopper that comes here for their candles and kitchen products. Here's what I like about Anthropologie:1. Even tho their candles are pricey their burn time is almost triple bath and body works candles which when they are not on sell bath and body works candles are almost 28 dollars and have almost a third of the burn time and the wax used for bath and body works candles are harmful. 2. They mark the seasonal products (most) 50% off when the season ends and they put them in the clearance.3. Very clean and almost therapeutic environment due to the music and the candles burning. Now here's what I don't like after going into the store almost 21 times a month.(I know it's unhealthy).1. Customer server is awful they don't great you or acknowledge you. The only time they have ever talked to me is when I buy something. 2. I know the clothes are meant for women but when they dress mannequin it reminds me of when people go to a thrift store and their friends pick random clothes for the other person to wear. Who knows maybe I'm an out of touch male who doesn't know the fashion industry. On top of that they have clothing that you can buy almost identical clothes from that are not hundreds of dollars for jeans or overalls. 3. Check Black Friday sell isn't even good. The better sale happened after Black Friday sell ended and they put their fancy voluspa candles on sale. The stuff they put on sale with the big discount was the seasonal items or other items they struggle to get rid of. Which is smart but as someone who is trying to find a good deal on things you actually want it's rough. I gave it 3 starts this time because it's not affordable especially when you are living in Utah, living in an apartment and going to school. It's just not affordable for everyone to access. Lastly the customer service is just awful.
