Both times we have absolutely had a great time. The classes always seem to attract a (mostly) cool, laid-back crowd . The owner, Rob, is funny and tries to keep the mood light and fun. You can definitely tell he truly appreciates everyone's business and really tries to make sure everyone has a good time. Though I am an introvert at heart, I appreciate being pushed a little outside my comfort zone and being put at the bar to mix drinks. The hands on experience also helps you mingle with the others in the class. We will definitely return!

The class itself, 15 minutes of demonstration then the owner did his own thing. Alcohol was certainly not top shelf liquor and there was no adjusting the recipe. Adding sprite to every cocktail when seltzer would have been a great alternative was out of the question. There was no substitutions available. Needless to say, for the price that was paid per person, we could have purchased premium liquor, watched a you tube video on how to measure (i certainly dont measure out my alcohol!) and done this at home. In response to Rob's comments, I didnt bash, I explained my experience. It was classified as a mixology class, not a tasting as Rob rebutted. There is certainly a difference. A few accommodations and my review would have been different!

On the…read moresecond day of training he said that a Cuba Libre was jack and Coke and everyone looked around at eachother confused. He also said that there was Kahluah in the Sex on the beach and when the class told him there wasn't he said "oh my book has a different recipe". I highly doubt his book had a different recipe, he made a mistake and didn't want to own up to it. That day was the day that we learned the drinks that needed to be shaken and he didn't teach anyone how to shake. People where shaking from left to right by their waist with the glasses horizontal, I taught my partner how to shake the proper way and I am a paying student, I shouldn't be teaching her. The dye used for coloring the fake alcohol leaves your hands colored for days and is not presentable for people who do have a job and need to work the next day. Also, there are labels halfway to almost being peeled off on some of the bottles which doesn't teach people what they look like. Also, I don't think it is very professional to be using acronyms such as "OJ's ASS" or "OJ's VERY TIGHT LITTLE ASS". This is embarrassing to your establishment and makes people not take the class seriously at all. Also, there is mold on every inch of that bar. It absolutely disgusting. It shows the new people that it is okay to have a bar this filthy. It was so gross and very hazardous. This school is such a waste of time And money. I don't want to return due to the bad teaching and the establishment. I was extremely disappointed in the school and would like a full refund since the place is a mess and it's dangerous to be standing in mold for 8 hours straight especially when I know that the Health Department would have a field day in your school. I spoke to them and asked for a refund and they told me no since I had completed days of training already. I had told them that if I found all the poor things out about their establishment on day 1, I would have but everyday was something new going wrong there and they still wouldn't refund me. Don't waste your time and money b

Valet guys were super friendly and fast! The food was good - the buffet had more than enough food for our party. The passed apps were the best. We enjoyed mini lobster rolls, lamp pops, and shrimp cocktail. The venue itself is nice. The room we were in had an old school vibe but still classy nonetheless. My only complaint would be that the waitstaff wasn't very friendly. It seemed like we were a bother when we go to the bar to order drinks or even ask a question at the dessert buffet. Maybe it was just a bad night for them?

We been there several times and have never been disappointed. The venue is huge and is beautifully decorated. Very impressive. Their buffet appetizer was simply very good with a very large selection including offerings brought by our table. There were at least 350-400 people there last night and the sit down dinner was also overall very good. My wife had the chicken franchise, son the beef, and had the salmon. All portions were large. The salmon was a bit dry but good. I realize that can happen when ur feeding 400+ people at the same time. Justin our waiter did a great job and was very focused on doing his best to serve us. I would recommend The Venetian to anyone looking to hold an event. I've been there repeatedly and never left disappointed.
