She's enthusiastic and an amazing artist who is multimulti-talented. We have done jewelry making with her, a variety of sewing, including clothing, upcycling and purses and satchels. She also teaches watercolors, drawing, children's classes and so much more. I look forward to the next class we can take with her!

Her passion for sewing is contagious and she made learning how to sew as complete beginners totally accessible. Our project during our time at the studio was to create pajama pants. For our first class we took a field trip to Joann's Fabrics where she taught us all about different types of fabrics, sewing supplies and notions we would need. After that we met at the studio each week where she guided us through the process, cheering us on and offering invaluable advice along the way. What truly made our experience with Suzi unforgettable was how much fun we had each week in the studio. Her studio radiates creativity and camaraderie, providing the perfect environment for budding creatives to flourish. We laughed, we learned, and we made memories that we will cherish for years to come. Without hesitation, my family and I wholeheartedly recommend Suzi at Dream Makers Art Studio to anyone looking to embark on their sewing or creative journey. Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned seamstress, Suzi's passion, expertise, and infectious enthusiasm will inspire you to unleash your creativity. Thank you, Suzi, for an experience we will never forget! xx

School of Rock founder Matt Ross expanded his franchise building formula into art education with…read morethe One River concept. Not yet a 55 location phenomenon like its musical counterpart, One River is a growing franchise on the East Coast. The modern and upscale facility in Allendale offers a variety of children's, tween, teen and adult art classes that are taught by a young and hip faculty. The staff is helpful and informative. Our tween enjoyed the digital art classes he tried and the "teen shuffle" class he now enjoys -- which teaches in multiple media and fairly large groups. That said, I'm not sure the curriculum is on the same level as some traditional art schools we've experienced in the past -- that are usually focused on more one on one training. However the large number of choices, an energetic faculty and flexibility to switch between programs and instructors on short notice is a plus. This place is pricey but classes are about market for the area and the service offered. Depending on your expectations and the skill set you bring to the program -- One River might be a good choice. Top Tip: Take a trial class or two before you commit. The rolling admissions policy requires that you commit for at least 4 classes in a 30 day period -- and that you give a 30 days notice of cancellation.
