Great school. Helped in learning recipes which I found overwhelming when I tried to do it on my own. Materials are very helpful.

Both times we have absolutely had a great time. The classes always seem to attract a (mostly) cool, laid-back crowd . The owner, Rob, is funny and tries to keep the mood light and fun. You can definitely tell he truly appreciates everyone's business and really tries to make sure everyone has a good time. Though I am an introvert at heart, I appreciate being pushed a little outside my comfort zone and being put at the bar to mix drinks. The hands on experience also helps you mingle with the others in the class. We will definitely return!

The class itself, 15 minutes of demonstration then the owner did his own thing. Alcohol was certainly not top shelf liquor and there was no adjusting the recipe. Adding sprite to every cocktail when seltzer would have been a great alternative was out of the question. There was no substitutions available. Needless to say, for the price that was paid per person, we could have purchased premium liquor, watched a you tube video on how to measure (i certainly dont measure out my alcohol!) and done this at home. In response to Rob's comments, I didnt bash, I explained my experience. It was classified as a mixology class, not a tasting as Rob rebutted. There is certainly a difference. A few accommodations and my review would have been different!

Service 10/10!! Loved working with them…read more I hired them for my birthday party, where I had designed five custom cocktails. The bartender I hired was extremely helpful from setup all the way to cleanup. So many of my friends complimented me on the bartender's drinks, they were absolutely delicious! Although there were a lot of moving parts and guests at my party, the bartender was able to make drinks really quickly and really helped with the atmosphere. She was super knowledgeable about the drinks, arrived early, and wore professional attire. She had all the materials necessary for making drinks, and she was super professional from start to finish. Can't recommend CBA enough for their incredible service and professionalism! Will definitely hire again from them for future events, and it's amazing how all the bartenders are college students too.

Bryan is a wonderful teacher and a really fun guy to be around. I would highly recommend this class / social club to anyone interested in any form of bartending. Whether you are a business owner looking to open a bar, someone who is trying to get into bartending as a career or hobby, or an experienced bartender looking to refine your cocktail craft, you would definitely benefit from this class.

I finally decided…read moreto go for it to meet new people, to have a second income and mostly to add something new and exciting to my life. I just finished the 2 week bartending certification including ATAP at 1800 Bartend in Farmingdale last week. It's right next to Adventureland. The course packs a lot of information in during a short period of time. We easily learned over 100 drinks. The school is set up like a bar. Jerry the instructor is hilarious and highly entertaining. I call him the YODA of bartending. He probably could have been a comedian in another life. The class was very enjoyable, stress free and the small group size was ideal for maximum hands on practice making all the drinks. From rocks drinks, to sours, shots, martinis, and mixed drinks, we learned it all. I even made a few new friends in the class that I will be keeping in touch with. There was a guest bartending night at a bar in Coram to serve drinks if you brought friends and a test at the end of the 2 weeks to make sure you have the main drinks down. Since the class ended I have been in touch with Richard who helps the graduates with job placement. He has already given me a few leads. For the money, I learned alot and thoroughly enjoyed 1800 Bartend. I'm looking forward to starting my side hustle bartending and will keep you posted on my journey. Goals: Wind up bartending on the water in The Hamptons! Thanks again 1800 Bartend. Cheers! Dr. Max @thedrmaxshow

You're not going to learn everything in one course but having this certification has opened the door for me and I am so grateful. If your hesitant, I promise it's worth it. I made back what I spent on the tuition in two shifts at the bar! Best ROI ever.

What this class does well, is get you ahead with the basics. You'll learn bar equipment, the order in which to do things, and the general flow of bartending. All of that is great. Unfortunately, the school does not have you make any actual alcoholic drinks. You only use water the whole time. This is not clear when you pay for the class. To be a bartender, it is required to make actual drinks to taste them. I was disappointed about this. Also, they claim to have job placement for the class graduates. Their "job placement" is just a list of restaurants/bars that say they're hiring. It has suggested hours to go in- but they aren't updated. After I graduated I went to 5 bars on the list during the mentioned time, and all of them were either closed or not hiring. Also, the class is quite expensive and in my opinion that cost should include the merchandise they offer such as a drink notepad, bartending kit, etc. I am now an experienced bartender. Worked at 4 craft bars. While the teachers are really nice, the drink methods are completely outdated. The way I was taught in this class to make several drinks was deemed wrong by multiple places. This class is fun. The people are nice to work with, and the bonding is nice too. It will give you a leg up in the bartending world. Do not expect a magical answer however. 3/5
