I love grocery shopping. Shopping at Stew Leonard's is like going to a museum. Most of the guests…read moreare having a great time. There are so many fun products and fresh bakery items! I like how spacious the Farmingdale location is, even on a weekend. I struggled on the self-checkout line and the staff member was super helpful and even told me the code for my bundle of herbs after they had stepped pretty far away. Super attentive! If you get the app, you get a free ice cream cone for every $100 spent. Easy to reach that if you're buying any meat or seafood here. And a bonus surprise--I found the butter-dipped soft serve available here, so I got to try that.

Today I stopped by my local Stew Leonard's just to wander the aisles and see what caught my eye. I…read morecan never resist the bakery, so I grabbed a few bagels and donuts. I enjoyed walking around and taking in the animatronics--they always make the trip feel more like an experience than a regular grocery run. In the fruit department, an employee was cutting up a pink pineapple. We were curious, and she happily offered us a sample, which felt like great customer service in action. I picked up a few sale items, but overall found most things to be a bit overpriced. For me, Stew Leonard's is more of a fun outing than a place to do all my regular grocery shopping. It's perfect for seasonal finds and unique items.

Nick and his crew did an outstanding job at my son's wedding. First off, he sat and listened to my…read moreson and his fiancé and then captured all their wishes into a fairy tale experience. Nick set up a 40 x 40 ft tent flawlessly, provided all the lighting and the table chairs, dishes etc etc - basically everything. He then set up an on-site kitchen that delivered with some of the best food: His chateaubriand grilled on a charcoal grill was outrageous. His calamari was tender and cooked on sight. His salads were fantastic, and even the asparagus was great. For dessert his Banana foster garnered rave reviews. Likewise for his shrimp, salmon and lamb chops. No one left hungry or disappointed. Nick had the good thought at our home based wedding located on the Great South Bay to drop the flaps on the tent when the wind picked up at the end of the ceremony. We didn't have to tell him - he anticipated what we needed for the event to be a success. That is Nick's secret - his experience and cooking expertise makes him anticipate your needs before you do! His crew of 6 were so helpful and caring. Every guest told us it was the best wedding they had been to. Why? Great food, caring help, smart plentiful choices. When the great evening was done, the backyard was left spotless with almost no reminders a great event occurred there. I wish I had photos to add but we were all busy enjoying ourselves, so I will post when we get them from the photographer Thank you Nick and the Tanglewood crew- you are the best!

All details (set up of tents, tables, chairs, linens, food) are taken care of by the company so there is little for us to worry about. Anything that you want, Nick and his team can make happen for you. We have referred Nick and Tangelwood to family and friends and they were all extremely satisfied. Our guests always rave about the variety and quality of the food, as well as the service they receive. They all love to listen to Nick's friendly banter while he tells them how good the food is. :) Karen & Darren

I especially enjoyed the planting oath he had us take before we started. My only complaint came with the supplies. I was hoping we would get more than 3 succulents, or to at least get to choose the ones we used, but I do understand that can be difficult to manage. And in the end it worked out for me because the original planter I wanted had run out and was bigger, so the three plants I received fit nice--the bigger one would have had too much empty space. Also, by the time some of the decorations made their way to our end of the table it was slim pickings. Steven did alternate which end of the table he started at, but I felt like for the price you should be able to get the specific supplies you wanted. Even with that, I still had a nice time and would totally do a Yaymaker event again. They're always a fun night out.

She took the time to teach, and was helpful teaching us how to customize + They always set these for restaurants - Great to grab drinks/food while you're waiting around. + Great for date night! Also, would totally recommend this for a a friend's night Cons: - A little pricey - the tickets can run $25 and $45
