We have a bit of a mixed review. We hired BUB for our engagement party which was luau themed. We specifically wanted bartenders to make tropical themed cocktails and frozen drinks to really give it a Hawaiian feel. We had a beverage consultant who gave us a list of cocktails to choose from, all sounded delicious. We chose 3 and then the consultant gave us a shopping list which was pretty comprehensive. Throughout the process, Conrad, the owner, was extremely helpful and available for any questions we had. We called him a few times from the store to make sure we were buying the correct items and he was very patient and helpful. On the day of the party, Juan and Ashanti were our bartenders and they were excellent. Everyone raved about the delicious drinks. We paid for 5 hours and they stayed from 4pm-9pm. Right before 9 they asked us to make final call announcement because they had to leave by 9, so we did. We then gave them a very generous tip because they did a great job. They also had a tip jar out all night (typically it is one or the other). So overall my experience was good and everything went smoothly. However the issue comes on the morning after the party when I received an additional invoice of $30. When we asked Conrad about it he said it was because each bartender stayed an additional 15 minutes to "clean". Meanwhile they really didn't clean the bar much, we had to clear everything out. They had thrown out all the caps to the liquor bottles so we had to plug them up with temporary corks and most of them had to get thrown out. We emailed Conrad to tell him that we wouldn't be paying the additional $30 because they didn't stay late and even if they had, the tip we gave them would have MORE than covered it in addition to their tip jar. You would think that over $30 he would have said OK. But no it turned into a big issue and I kept getting the invoice for $30. Then my fiance called him on the phone to discuss it rationally but ended up getting into an argument because Conrad could not see why we were so upset that after spending so much money and giving such a big tip that they would be petty over 15 minutes. The issue was with management in my opinion, Conrad could have done a much better job after the party to keep the customer happy and maintain a great relationship with people who had 100+ guests raving about the drinks, who probably would have used them in the future. read more

I hired BU to provide a bartender for my backyard wedding. Our bartender was professional and punctual. I received several compliments on how friendly and accommodating she was from my guests. She was also incredibly appreciative for the amount of space and supplies we provided her with. The consultation and shopping list made for an easy planning process. They are well worth every penny and I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

I spoke with Conrad, he explained his company's services to me and the price was reasonable. Conrad arrived early and delivered a LED bar with his flashy bartending tools. I've been using bottoms up bartending for the past few years and this past experience has by far been the worst ! I hired one wait staff that was scheduled to come at 6 and she arrived 30 mins late with no call from her or the owner Conrad. Upon her arrival she was very sweet and polite however she took no initiative to do any work, and the work she did do was highly mediocre. She spent majority of her time on her phone and the other portion of time she spent watching myself and my guest do the work. She then left early not completing the five hours which she was already paid for stating she had babysitting needs to attend to. When i contacted Conrad to discuss the event he stated he was in communication with her getting her side of the story i did not speak to Conrad until the following night where again i had to reach out to him first . The first rule of business is that the customer is always right Conrad clearly missed this lesson in school. He began to explain to me that he was still getting the story for the employee which is why he did not contact me back he stated that I the customer should have been helping the staff that I hired .I thought the concept of hiring someone was the opposite he then told me that what i need was a house keeper . Last i checked i didn't hire someone to just stand there he then told me that he has serviced events bigger and better than mine as if to say he was doing me a favor by taking my job, a job is a job regardless if it is at the royal palace or chuck e cheese i give Conrad at least 2-3 jobs a year minimum for the past few years and to have been treated that way as a loyal customer was absolutely disgusting. Lastly he stated that he gives me a 50% discounted price at the cost of $25 so if you wish to pay $50 an hour for less than mediocre work this is the company for you . If you wish to pay that much money to watch the staff you hired watch you work this is the company for you . There are many mobile bartending and waitstaff company's out there who are not ran by arrogant owners who just took their first ride around the block on their newly spit shinned high horse . read more
