My experience here at "The Famous Bartending School" has been one of the most fun experiences I've had learning something. This course offers all the materials you need to become a successful bartender. Famous Bartending School offers night or day classes so they can accommodate you no matter what. We met for 3 and a half hours a day 4 times a week and you quickly pickup bartending in that time. The morning classes were from 9 am to 2 pm. Night classes were 6 pm to 10 pm. They offer it every month so you can always become a bartender if you want to overnight and start training. Once the student gets enough practice they receive their bartending certfication. This certification you can get here also grants State certification so you can bartend anywhere in the country. The school even has a job placement program for the students who need help finding work. Before starting my search on becoming a bartender I didn't think it was going to be easy at all but with the best bartending school helped me learn while making it fun it was a matter of no time until I became one. Signed up for the course several months ago and with the pandemic--a good deal of the material has been moved on-line. I started with zero knowledge or experience. The on-line lectures with Jasdeep Singh aka (Jesse) were informative, clear, thorough and entertaining. Along with reviewing the bartending e-manual (definitely review your alcohol brand knowledge!), I passed the written test. Watching Jesse's lectures and studying the drinks prior to the practical training allowed us to focus on-site (Wayne location) with practical training behind the mock bar station--which I have really enjoyed, particularly the multi-drink speed drills. Our instructor PJ is very personable and supportive while ensuring that we get every "order" right and completed efficiently. As someone without experience in the restaurant industry, my only recommendation might be to integrate a mock price list--even something unrealistically simple for practice adding order price totals and handling (faux) cash money. But overall I wish I had researched bartending school and taken this class years ago. The experience has been so much fun! And it really is such a valuable skill and knowledge to have for even personal enrichment/ your own entertaining and parties, and the investment in terms of money and time is minimal when compared to a college course. read more

I already own a family restaurant and was looking to expand my personal skill set into bar tending to have a better concept of what to expect from my employees. After googling multiple schools in New York and New Jersey, I found Famous Bartending was both highly rated and easy to get to by car or train. They also have highly flexible schedules for 2 and 3 week programs. Upon starting the class I was overwhelmed by the amount of skills and information we were expected to memorize and utilize in 12 days, but with the excellent material and a knowledgeable and fun instructor I was completely ready walking in the second Friday. All in all, the information from the lectures and the provided literature were worth the price of admission. I went and met the instructor personally when I was looking into taking a mixology course for my birthday with few of my friends. The place is great, it is an actual in business bar right next to the prudential building in downtown newark, along with other state building right next door. From reading another review that said the school is total ghetto trash, obviously that person has been been to this bartending school because it was nothing as they have described it. It is a clean, fun, diverse school with a great instructor. You learn a lot and he also allows you to gain experience hands on during F-Lounge parties that are held at the premises. Jessie is a great teacher! He is always energetic and fun to learn with. This school is not to sit for full 8 hours (weekends), it is hands on. Jessie concentrates on everyone's ability of learning all the drinks he is providing in his teachings. He is always willing to help and make sure his students pass. He is on top of his teachings.Time passes by so quick when you're having so much fun while meeting new people. I love this school and I am glad I chose this school then any other schools. Taking this class was truly a great experience, not only did I learn more then I thought was possible in only a two week time frame but the environment, the classmates, and the teachers were all a lot of fun. I'm not a drinker and came into this class knowing literally nothing about alcohol...for example: I wasn't able to tell the difference between liquor and Liqueur or even top shelf brands from whats in your speed rack. Great place to take bar tending courses with small class sizes and friendly staff. I found this bartending school to be very spacious approachable and beginner friendly, but still had staff with a lot of experience and knowledge. The school helps you find work after you get your certification, so buying even the most basic course package goes a long way. Just completed my first week of class.. And it's amazing, to say the least. My instructors, Gustavo and John are truly awesome. They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced bartenders, and are very patient teachers. They taught us the correct ways to pour drinks and explained the importance, and gave us some insight as to what we should expect in the real world. I was so nervous to attend class because I wasn't sure how fast the instructor would go or if I would get bored easily. But Jesse really helped ease my fears within the first five minutes of talking to him. He was very laid back, down to earth, and definitely really knew what he was talking about.
