My correspondence with Jackie their office support was fantastic comparing against others. She was quick on email and I had an appt booked for an estimate within a week or two as it was spring and the weather was getting nice. Joey showed up, took a video, and I had my estimate in hand in a day. He listened to exactly the look and product I wanted used. It was not an easy cookie cutter patio. Their price was in line with the other 3 estimates I got back for the same project. The project started fast because it was going to be a 4 day job so they fit it into a slot of space they had. Within another week or two they had the crew come excavate my backyard patio area and demo my walkway that was concrete and needing replacement. The excavating team was about 5-6 guys and they worked quick to go deep for the patio. Next day they were installing the paver I chose which was a Unilock Copthorne paver. It had to be hand blended and I wanted a herringbone pattern. The backyard patio was a 90 degree herringbone and the walkway was a 45 degree herringbone. Both came out fantastic. His guys were so good especially the ones they are blending and wet sawing all the edges. They work so well together and their team is really professional. I would highly recommend them for your backyard needs like patios, walkways, bbq, fire pits, hardscaping etc.

A friend recommended Lopez Masonry, and Carlos came right away to check out my steps. His team did a great job with a big repair. Another great thing about Lopez Masonry is that they also guarantee their work. There was some damage from the winter freeze, which they came to repair this week, and it looks great. I would use Lopez Masonry again for future work around the house.

Lopez Masonry will cost you so much time and money, you'll wish you never heard of them. We hired Lopez Masonry to pour a concrete pad for a hot tub. I noticed they weren't doing everything right, I thought, but the foreman reassured me they were. Well, 2 weeks later when my hot tub got delivered, they took one look at it on the brand new pad from Lopez Masonry and said, "if you fill your tub on this un-level of a surface it will void the warranty." I let Lopez know, and instead of fixing it, he told me the hot tub company is supposed to shim it to level - ON THE BRAND NEW PAD I HAD POURED FOR THIS PURPOSE. Now I have to pay not only to have the pad ripped out and re-done, but I have to have the hot tub company come and move the tub twice more, to the tune of $1k per move.

He was quick to come see the job, prompt in providing an estimate, patient when I didn't respond right away. He insulated the walls, put a rubber liner under the new tiles to keep moisture from seeping up, and added a really nice detail of molding. It looks great. The quality of materials used and the visual appearance is great, better than I envisioned. I have found Stefano and his crew are very professional, respectful, and careful. I highly recommend Stefano Torcasio and his team from my experience with this project and a much larger renovation of an underground garage, with masonary wall and stairs.

Overall it doesn't look great to me and I expected more for that price. I gave 2 stars instead of 0 because the 2 brothers were very professional and seemed like good guys. They were the most expensive quote and I decided to use based off reviews , photos and how great the owner was in person. I hate giving good people 2 stars but I have to be honest .

S&H did an installation/replacement of a 2nd flr deck, which was overseen by Project Coordinator,…read moreTracey. The deck replacement was done professionally, with great communication, transparency, and in a timely fashion. I felt blessed to have been introduced to Tracey by a consultant after having a prior traumatizing experience with a prior contractor. Anytime I had questions or concerns, Tracey would promptly respond. If she didn't know the answer, she referred me to a person who would know. It's rare that contractors, by default, provide a breakdown of costs the way S&H does and anytime I had a question about an entry, it was responded to promptly. I'd much prefer to get a detailed breakdown, then just scant numbers lumping labor, materials, type of materials, warranty, etc all together. The S&H estimate, billing, and contracts were very professional and detailed. The final overall cost was actually a little bit lower than the estimate, which I really appreciated. The estimate was reasonable, and with the level of detail, was easy to cross reference costs. Tracey's transparency, communication, attention to concerns, and follow through added to the overall positive experience.
