Lots of merchandise, wide aisles- Everything was very neat and tidy.. Refrigerated cases and a case with homemade snacks.. After trying Pakora the first time (last week).. I wanted to see if they had a packet .. Staff was helpful and pointed me in the right direction. Also picked up a mild bag of curry- I've only cooked with the Japanese curry, but wanted to try something new.. My oldest had some cookies that I enjoyed, and I also found them here.. Hopefully, my new cooking adventures will be enjoyable.. and I'll be back for new spices..

I found myself out and about with just my son and and we both thought a char grilled kebab sounded like a fun dinner experiment. We popped in and found who were guessing is the owner's child at the register and placed our order for their signature kebab made from ground chicken and Afghani spices. The plate came with sumac spiked basmati rice, two pieces of the chicken kebab and a small green salad plus a green hot sauce. The kebab was tender and juicy with a great flavor profile and a nice bit of charcoal flavor. We thought the rice was actually exceptional light and fluffy with a hint of that citrus sea tang from the sumac, in a buttery finish, made this a nice light side to the kebab. The salad was fresh and crunchy with cucumber, lettuce, and bell peppers and that green hot sauce was really great and we used it as a dressing because the salad did not come with one. For $16 I just felt like the value was a bit often the plate needed at least one more piece of the kebab because when finished with a small tiny salad and the kebab, we were left with a mountain of rice and that is south wasteful. I just wish the plates here were a bit more valued oriented and I guess it will take more people eating here to kind of drive that up. The tacos were totally legit. The tamale was one of the best and most innovative I have ever eaten. In fact, if you like tamales, it's worth the drive from South Lake Tahoe or Truckee. It's really difficult to find these items in the US like Nesvita, Euro custard, Mama Yentafo, Khao Chong 3in1 coffee..etc. They also have perishable items in the fridge as well. I first heard about this place from my sister and other friends a few months ago when I first visited during memorial weekend. I am glad to stop by and support local business. Store is open 7 days a week, 10 am - 8 pm.
