I loved this adorable spot in the middle of Fallbrook. They have a great outside area, near a water feature/pond with a peaceful waterfall, plenty of outdoor seating, shaded areas. I stopped here between visits and was pleasantly surprised by the coziness and they had what seemed like loyal customers. Problem is ridiculously long wait for coffee- 40 mins - and insufficient parking!! They used to make a no carb frittata but no longer have an oven! Staffed by young people, not professional food service staff, who aren't trained in food service and it shows unfortunately!! As simple as wiping off tables and having one staff just to take coffee orders. Need improved mgmt, particularly on weekends. When I want coffee, I make it at home. When I want lattes, I come here. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and awesome lattes. However, this must be said. This is NOT Starbucks. The lattes here are not as sugary. For me, this place is perfect. But if you're REALLY into sugary lattes, go to the Starbucks at the Albertsons instead. I came here 2 times. 4 stars for VERY limited parking. I would probably come here way more often if they had more parking. I like the nice outdoor seating and coy fish pond. I like getting their bagel egg & cheese, great place to sit and work on your laptop or just grab a coffee and read a book. After moving to Fallbrook, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that only mere blocks away from my new house resides one of the best coffee houses in San Diego County. There's coffee, and then there is GOOD coffee.. coffee that when you drink it, all other coffees cease to matter. Fallbrook Coffee Co. is one of those GOOD coffees. My favorite, the vanilla latte, is made to perfection every time I order it. Perfect foam on top, perfect smoothness, unburned beans.. thank you God. The girls that work here are super nice and friendly and there seems to be a pretty decent sized group of regulars that are literally here every time I come here.. I take that as a good sign. Try the food when you come here, I've had a couple different breakfast wraps and they were both delicious. Although every time I come here is on my way to work, I would definitely like to come here with a friend or a good book and nestle in the quaint surroundings with coffee in hand and breakfast/lunch on the way. My favorite morning indulgence is one of their lovely frittatas (sort of a crustless quiche, although it's extra yummy when they include a potato crust) and an Americano. Fallbrook Coffee is an eclectic, spotlessly clean and fun place to enjoy a treat. It's by far the best coffeehouse in Fallbrook. I was sad when everyone seemed to be briefly trying the new Starbuck's in town, but Fallbrook Coffee earned their return. Since the beginning of the pandemic my husband and I have gone out of our way to support small business. On December 31st we entered this establishment and we're basically told we were not welcome inside without a mask. The young girl working said we could wait outside and she would take our order there. Just as we have tried supporting small business we also respect everyone's right run their business how they choose and we so appreciate a business that is willing to accommodate those that can not wear a mask. This particular morning however it was very cold out and we needed a place to sit inside. Since we were not allowed inside we politely told the girl "that's okay we can go somewhere else" That should have been the end of it but instead the girl snidely laughed and said "perfect" Having worked in customer service for 33 years I can easily think of many other things she could have said, even saying nothing would have been better! Now we could have have started arguing with her the minute she told us we MUST wear a mask but again because we respect others rights to believe what they want and operate their business the way they feel safest we didn't. Let's be adults , if we can't or choose not to conform with the business requirement we have the option to go elsewhere. And that is exactly what we did. But the fact that this company allows their employees to be rude and laugh at people who have supported them all this time is very disappointing! New Owners ): They are very slow at making drinks and do not have the food options that they did before. (The pastry case does not have as much and there are not vegan items. Not even vegan oatmeal anymore). When they first switched, everything was still the same so it was not obvious that there was a new owner. I had asked the lady at the counter if I could buy a pound of espresso beans. She did not know what that was, and went to the cold case where the pastries are kept to grab a bag of regular ground coffee for me, saying "Well we have this?" After realizing she did not know much about coffee and that she was probably new to coffee making, I shrugged it off and just ordered an iced soy latte (which literally took 10 minutes with no drinks in front of mine. She kept getting side tracked with people behind me and moved in circles.) I went back a few days later and she was there again. I asked if the owner was around since I had not seen her in awhile and she usually worked up front. The lady told me she was the new owner! This was saddening. Disappointed, I still ordered my two drinks, which took 15 minutes, again no line. The drinks are good. While staying at the world's worst filthy hotel (Fallbrook Country Inn) where they had unappealing food serving just old apples and pastries in sealed bag with out cereal, toast, etc... We came here instead and helped us made our stay much better and pleasant and returned back the following day. All meals are made to order (of course except for pastries, but were excellent) tasted very fresh. They also had some vegan pastries I ordered some for our vegan friends and enjoyed it. This place is great! I went after work for a late lunch and it was the perfect place to relax. It's spacious and comfy. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I sat by the fountain outside and bathed in the sun for a bit while I read a book. The salad that I ordered was so delicious and filling. It was a huge plate but I finished it all. This is one of the little gems of Fallbrook. It's a cottage-type coffee house that has all of the quaint, comfy, coziness that makes you want to stay there for hours. There are also two great little outdoor sitting areas, once of which has a small koi pond. I'm partial to their sweet, foofy concoction types of drinks, but I'm told by my boyfriend (who usually drinks it plain with just a hint of cream, which I cannot even wrap my mind around) that their plain coffee is also quite good. They also have some very good pastries and make excellent breakfast sandwiches, too. This is a place you could really visit any time you need a caffeine pick-me-up, but, in my opinion, is best enjoyed when you have a lazy morning or afternoon to sit around. read more
