My daughter's wedding was over the weekend and we all met at Falcone's Kitchen the night before for dinner. The service was AMAZING! We were in a section back by the kitchen, which was completely fine. Our table shared some appetizers, there was plenty to go around. I decided on the Ravioli, with a house salad, and a glass or two of moscato. There was also bread and butter to share. Every bite was absolutely delicious! There was plenty of food to satisfy everyone and we were all full, so didn't have dessert. The place was really busy, so the staff was hoping. There was celebration in the air, everyone had a fantastic time! The place is beautiful both inside and out, so the visit was very pleasant. Love to see Erie get a new spot! The dining room was spacious and the rooftop area looks perfect for summer dining - it was a rainy day so we opted for inside. They have a nice wine and cocktail selection, and we started with drinks + the mussels! The mussels had great flavor and were a little something different than your typical mussel appetizer on the menu. Yum! We opted for soups instead of salads with our entrees (the entrees come with salad and bread as a standard), and the soup of the day had chicken meatballs and noodles on a tomato base. No complaints! We both chose the rigatoni alla zozzona since it seemed like a more unique Italian entree. It was definitely delicious - I'm not sure I felt the traditional sauces included, but it was tasty, had some heat, and the sausage in it was great. Recently went to Falcone's for pizza for dinner. Had the calamari appetizer as well. The calamari was very good and served with grilled green and yellow peppers which added a nice flavor. The breading on the calamari could have been more crisp, but still good. I have definitely had better, but my wife enjoyed it. $17 seemed a little high for the serving size. We ordered the anchovy pizza and it was delicious. Very good flavor and with creamy cheesy white sauce and a good crust. Despite the name of the pizza, there were few anchovies on the pizza and the anchovy flavor was very subtle. If you wanted a strong anchovy flavor you would be disappointed. More prominent were the spinach and artichokes, both very good. Would get this pizza again and it had 8 cuts for only $13. Service was good although the waitress was somewhat emotionless in her interactions. Not sure why. Also, it generally took about 10 minutes to get your bar drink order, although the bar did not look busy. The problem was likely not with the waitress since this occurred on all of our previous visits. Speaking of drinks, I ordered a whiskey sour. It was served in a small-sized martini glass, which would probably only fill about a third of a traditional tumbler glass. The drink itself had more of a chocolate coffee flavor than a whiskey sour and was also disappointing for a $12 drink. Service and Ambiance were perfect ! Menu has great options. The dishes needed more flavor. They were presented well but bland. They used powered parm shakers. The cheese has no flavor this way. At the prices they are charging fresh grated parm is a must. And the dishes needed stronger taste actual pesto not Alfredo with a touch of pesto. read more

The food was great. Wait staff very helpful It's is a little pricey. But the only thing I had a problem with was the bill. The menu shows a price, but the price is a cash price. They offer you a discount for cash but mark up to cover credit fees. I feel it's a little shady that you don't find out until the end that the prices listed were cash without any signage that there's an additional credit mark up. Moved my daughter back to college a week ago. Cut our 13 hour drive from Chicago to Philadelphia in half w/ a stop off in Erie. Searched up Italian restaurants and found this wonderful gem. Inviting bar when you first walk in to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail. We had tiramisu espresso martinis to start which were amazing. Sat next to the fragrant stone pizza oven next while we waited to be seated, it was a busy night. Service was excellent, manger was super hospitable and our waiter was great. Started with calamari, GrandMa Boons zucchini sticks (which are truly special), Falcone's salads w/ homemade vinaigrette family dressing (dynamite) and the ricotta stuffed meatball was completely INSANE. I'm a lifelong, global meatball connoisseur and this meatball is LEGIT. In fact, ordered extra to take on our morning drive to Philly. Then on to linguini w/ extra clams, daily specials were rigatoni and homemade raviolis w/ lobster cream sauce... all were delicious stuffed, we had to try their homemade Tiramisu desert which was mind blowing. Loved this place, the food, the vibe/people and the atmosphere/ambiance. Wish we had Falcone's in Chitown because not sure how soon we will get back! I have dined here several times, all with a great experience. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice wine list and knowledgeable bar staff when it comes to wines. Food very good. Unique daily specials, though these can be a little pricy. Definitely recommend, especially for those special occasions. read more

Overall was not impressed. Waiter was nice an attentive. Bread was dry and little hard. Zucchini appetizer was good, but nothing really different than bar food. Salad that came with the meal was the best item. Their house dressing was great. I got the bolognese and was decent portion but the taste was ok. Little watery and very peppery. The meat was more of a chuck roast than traditional ground meat but overall just lacked flavor. We were clearly celebrating a birthday which I put in the notes, never mentioned in anyway. We celebrated an event at the restaurant last Saturday. Top notch! The service was excellent and the food delicious. There was not a complaint at the table - everyone enjoyed their meal. Portion size was small compared to price being charged. Hard to read menu with lighting they have. Paid with gift card that was purchased with cash. They applied the credit card service charge to bill. Questioned this with server- her response was that is what our system does. Not right!!Looks like owners taking advantage of this!!!
