I love this place! The vibe is very chill and the doctors are down to earth, friendly and knowledgeable. I recently made an appointment for a renewal of contacts when my last doctor stopped accepting my insurance. It was an easy process here from the point of making the vision appointment through ordering my lenses. They compete on prices as well with the internet companies. Well this is the best place to go for your eyes I GUARANTEE IT!!! The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful and they are taking all precautions for COVID-19. Doctor Lisa Maxwell-Malik is extremely knowledgeable about the eyes and vision correction. Also Doctor Russell Malik is an amazing person and it's like going over to a friends house as they are so friendly and personable. I have visited this office three times and wish I could speak highly of them, but unfortunately I can't. Dr Malik (female) was pleasant and professional, but her office staff leaves so much to be desired. Although her office staff appears to be less than 6 people from what I can see, it is incredibly disorganized and lacks communication between staff members. The staff appear apathetic and care very little for their patients/customers time and money. The In the age where there are so many options in eye care I don't see myself making this office my first choice. I paid what I thought was my bill, and when I came in to get my daughter's contacts there was another amount due. I called to say I was coming to pickup sunglasses, and when I got to the office, the gentleman lackadaisically said "I need to pull your chart and get the glasses. It will take me about 15 mins or so." Even though I had called earlier and said I would be in THAT day. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Falcon Pass Vision Center and Doctors Lisa Maxwell-Malik and Russell Malik. Not only are they the consummate professionals but are strong community supporters. I have been a patient of Dr. Lisa or Dr. Russ for more than 23 years. I have followed them from their affiliation with other practices to the opening of their own practice at Falcon Pass Vision. I have received nothing but the utmost professional service. They go out of their way to accomodate my family in scheduling appointments, glasses/contact pick-up, and after hour eye injuries. I have two adult children living outside the state and in Austin who continue to use Dr. Lisa and Dr. Russ even though they have plenty of other optometry options. The office staff is very helpful filing my vision insurance and notifying me of the availability of my glasses/contacts pick-up as well as reminding me to schedule my yearly eye exam. I can not say enough great things about Dr. Lisa and Dr. Russ that is why I am disturbed by the couple of negative reviews. My experience could not be any further from the complete opposite! My family and I have been coming to Dr. Russel for at least 5 years and they have been nothing but amazing. He's very polite and knowledgeable. Dr. Russel puts his patients first and has stayed after closing to attend to a last minute walk in emergency. He makes sure his patients are comfortable during appointments and very friendly. My son, Ben, and I have been going to Falcon Pass Vision center for years now. Dr. Malik has been fantastic and the office staff is great always going above and beyond. When I can't make it they take care of my son making sure he has what he needs and as I transitioned into contacts, they made sure I was educated and comfortable. They also worked with my mom, who is on social security, to make sure she was able to have what she needed for her visual well being. read more

Both Dr. Russ and Dr. Lisa have treated my entire family. They are excellent docs who really take their time with their patients. They have a great staff and an excellent selection of glasses for all my ladies (wife and 9 year old twins). They were also able to pick up a focusing issue with one of my daughters and gave her exercises to perform each night so softballs don't look fuzzy when they are flying at her. I'm a chiropractor and I refer all my headache patients who have vision issues to falcon pass vision. read more

Lisa Maxwell Malik is horrible, 1st off the glasses i got for her were too strong and gave me headaches so i made an appointment with a different doctor on the other side of town to fix the problem. The new Dr wrote the rx but didn't have the frames or lenses in stock so i went back to "dr" Lisa to get the new lenses and this idiot tried yo give me another exam because i guess she didn't think the other doctor's rx was right. But the very reason i was in this predicament was because she gave me the wrong lenses in the 1st place. She's a pompous arrogant idiot and i would rather go blind than revisit falcon pass vision center. read more

I don't often write reviews, but I feel the need to give this place the great review it deserves. I searched yelp to find an eye doctor since I'm new to the area. I was worried by the negative review, but decided to try Dr. Malik over seeing a doc-in-a-box type eye doctor. The location was slightly hidden (smaller street parallel to Bay Area Blvd.), but convenient. I've been wearing contacts for about 20 years, and this was the best exam. Dr. Malik took time to listen to my concerns and make sure I felt comfortable with new lenses. It was refreshing that she also gave options instead of telling me I had a single option. Great eye doctor, and also wonderful to see a small business succeed....I would highly recommend this place! read more

My son and I have been there. Not again. Doctor tested eyes with the door open with light coming in which caused a faulty test. Front people said that he should have said something...no refund not even an opology. He had better luck at Today's vision. I just wanted reading glasses that took forever. read more

I chose this place because of all the great reviews I saw. Unfortunately, the service I received was sub-par. This is probably the most uncomfortable (in how patients are treated) vision centers I have ever been to. I have been wearing glasses for 20 years. Here is a quick summary: - Staff members and doctors are cold and rude. - The visit was rushed and quite unprofessional. Dr. Lisa did not provide thorough answer to patient's questions, or explain what she was going to do before putting drops into patient's eye. - Dr. Lisa did not wash her hands before putting my contacts into my eyes. My eyes were bloodshot red within 3 hours. When I put the contacts in the next day on my own with clean hands, I had no issues. - Was charged $45 fee for trial of contacts at the end of visit, without any warning or mention of it beforehand. - Did not receive any follow-up calls to schedule the next appointment to continue the contacts trial process. Details: Entering the clinic: - I open the door, and both receptionists (each sitting at their own desk) look up at me and then back at their computers, without saying anything. That's fine. Maybe they were both too focused on something to say a simple hi. - I walk to the lady at the desk that has clipboards on it, smile, and say good morning. She does not look up from her computer that she is staring blankly at, so I introduce myself, stating that I am a new patient and have an appointment in 15 minutes. - The lady, still without looking up, pushes a clipboard on the table toward me. Neither of the staff has even bothered with eye-contact or greeting their new patient (and never did). - I ask if filling out these forms is all they need for new patients. She finally talks! But does not answer the question. "Fill these out." Not a "please," or "thank you," or anything nice. Paperwork: - I finish filling out the paper work and bring it to the lady. - "I need your insurance card."... I give it to her, she makes copies, and hands it back. - "Sit down. We will call you when we are ready." Me: "Ok, thanks." What a new patient on-boarding. I was expecting some sort of warmth like all the reviews said. I remained hopeful. - There are no other patients around. I wait about 10 minutes. The receptionist lady turns out to be the nurse that does the pre-tests on me. Eye Exam: - Receptionist nurse continues with the same cold attitude as she conducts the machine exams on me. - I get sent back into the lobby and wait another 10 minutes. - Dr. Lisa calls me up and brings me into her office for eye exam. - Interactions are unfriendly here too, and somewhat demanding. She asked questions and expected quick answers without much explanation. - I asked some questions about my eye health, and she answered with one word or very short sentence answers, with minimal elaboration. - When it came time to put dye drops in my eye, she did not even tell me that she was going to put drops in and why. Just a simple: "Look up" proceeded with her putting surprise drops into my eye. When it spilled out and I needed tissues, I had to ask for them. - When she asked me if I wanted to try out contacts, she did not even tell me there is a trial fee of $45. (I found this out when I paid for my bill.) - She went out to get a pair of contacts for trial, and immediately put them in for me. I figured she probably washed her hands in another room, as she had been touching her keyboard, mouse, and all sorts of other things during the exam. Her hands were dirty. I guess she didn't wash them because my eyes were bloodshot within 3 hours of my visit. Post visit: - I went back home and told my sister about the terrible treatment I experienced. And she replied, "You should have told me you were thinking about going there! People are so unfriendly there." Apparently, she had been there before and had never been greeted either. Her first time there, she walked to the lady without the clipboards, and that lady just pointed and told her "over there" (pointing to the clipboards). - My sister even went back a couple more times to give them more chances, but she said they were all just as bad. - I thought about the experience some more after my visit, and realized that they were actually very friendly to two other patients who walked in while I was waiting. I don't want to make this about race, but the other patients were white males. I am not white, nor is my sister. I really hope this is not about race, but judging by the reviews, I cannot doubt it. Unfortunately, this clinic is very selective of their clientele and who they want to be warm and friendly to. I wish I could like this place, as they are located very conveniently to the neighborhood I live in. I was thinking about giving them a second chance, but after my sister's experiences, I will not be giving them any other chance. It's a real disappointment to see such an organization of people, and how they treat others. read more

Dr. Malik has cared for my son's vision for more than 10 years. She is always great and caring. He is now finishing his first year in college and was in for spring break when he developed a terrible eye irritation after sleeping with his contacts. I called her and she agreed to see him on a Sunday, even though her office was closed, because she knew he was scheduled to leave for college (out of state) on Monday morning. Thank you Dr. Malik! I have been a patient of Dr. Malik for 3 years, and I have been very satisfied with her care. It's easy to get an appointment even on short notice or an emergency basis. My glasses were fitted perfectly which is a challenge given my large head. The lenses she recommended for daily use and for golf both work exceptionally well. And she is a very nice doctor. Dr. Lisa Malik at Falcon Pass Vision Center has taken wonderful care of all of my family. All four of us depend on her to keep our eyes healthy and our eyesight sharp. Three of us wear glasses and have had wonderful experiences with getting the correct prescription and glasses. I wear contacts and she has helped me see better than ever especially since my eyes are changing with my age. Dr. Mailk's office is well run and it's easy to get an appointment with her. I'm always notified immediately when our new glasses arrive. She takes time to make sure that the fit is just right and that we are satisfied with our prescription. I have recommended her to many co-workers and they have been satisfied as well.
