First timer! Came in today for lunch and had the falafel sandwich. It came with a size of hummus…read moreand I asked for hot sauce. Naeem the chef was so kind and Cooked a delicious meal. It was so hot and fresh and perfect. I also met the owner Nasser and he was awesome. I love this little gem in Jefferson Park neighborhood. I hope they expand to more locations in the city. Would love to be able to have their food delivered in Logan Square. You can also get their food delivered on all the apps.

There seems to be a growing number of Mediterranean restaurants in the Northwest side and I came…read moreacross Falafel Dream near the Harlem/Irving Plaza. It is a casual somewhat "fast food" style restaurant where you order at the counter. I came before dinner time so the place was relatively empty. I ordered the Combo Plate #2 which included grilled lamb kabab, beef kofta and chicken kabab. The combo came with a Jerusalem salad, house salad which was essentially a cucumber salad, pita bread and rice. Overall, the flavors were generally all there. The only issue I had was with the preparation of the chicken and lamb. The chicken was overcooked and dry. It is as if they had cooked the chicken kabab and was refiring it on the grill to order. The beef kofta was fairly tender and flavorful, but the lamb kabab seemed to lack the distinct gamey lamb flavor that questions the quality of the meat. The combo plate is a hearty portion so you certainly won't go away hungry. Overall, for the area, Falafel Dream should satisfy any Meditereanean food craving. I haven't specifically tried their falafel, but I would be cautious if they are made beforehand rather than made to order. If you have ever had authentic Middle Eastern food, this doesn't really quite hit the bar. It may cater more to the American taste preference. Service was average. Prices were reasonable. Parking is very limited.

The ambiance was phenomenal. Love the clean, crisp, and sophisticated design. Felt very fresh and…read morelight! The service was great start to finish. The team is constantly circling the restaurant to make sure tables are cleared and food comes in a timely manner. We had people with allergies at the table and the team was accommodating and our food had the allergy labels in them. The team was very professional and kind! Food was so good! Everything over all was delivery but some highlights from the shared dinner were the eggplant spread, the brussel sprouts, and date cake. Warmed pitas were seasoned well and texture was fluffy but not too soft where it wasn't able to hold its shape. I could have the sweet potatoes latkes everyday! The lamb ragu hummus and short rib were good but we found the actual protein was a bit dry and flavor subdue compared to their accompaniments. The spicy brisket kabobs were good but we were stuff so we had to slow our roll. The Date cake was delicious! Perfect amount of sweetness for those both sweet lovers and non lovers! 10/10 recommend. We'll be back for brunch sometime!

Went here for a bday lunch with my hubs and my best friend, this was our first time here and we…read morewere excited to try food. The ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful. The greenhouse theme and twinkly lights were pretty. Now the service.... The server was kind, great attitude but poor service. Drinks were left empty, condiment requests were ignored or forgotten about, food and drinks items that were ordered were not told they were unavailable until after they were ordered (ie. Tea and lamb shashuka). Additionally, I was also charged for tea even though I I never had any but thankfully, they removed it. I had ordered tea and was initially told that they would be looking for the canister of loose leaf teas and then we were told that they didn't have enough canisters and too many canisters were broken. Um....ooookaaaay. We ordered two chicken kabob plates, grilled haloumi kebab and Moroccan onion dip. Their specialty drinks we got were: chocolate honey Carajillo, passion fruit spritz and then the say less. The drinks were delicious but a tad steep. Overall, food was delicious, they did skimp on the rice, I wish they added more. Their harissa was very good, spicy with a kick..would have loved it more if our waiter didn't forget the first time we asked for it. Chicken was well portioned, well seasoned and good flavor but it needed more rice to eat it with. The cheese was really good as well. Oh yeah, we also got the strawberry ricotta toast and that was....interesting. The cost to quality ratio needs work. The prices here are pretty steep and you get what you pay for here. Unfortunately, if the service is like what we received today then totally not worth it. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm Glad I got to share with my family but doubtful we'll be back again with the exception to celebrate a special occasion, if that. Lastly, their take out container bag is super cute but that's not either here or there. Disappointing experience for a special bday.
