It was so hot and fresh and perfect. I also met the owner Nasser and he was awesome. I love this little gem in Jefferson Park neighborhood. I hope they expand to more locations in the city. Would love to be able to have their food delivered in Logan Square. You can also get their food delivered on all the apps.

It is a casual somewhat "fast food" style restaurant where you order at the counter. I came before dinner time so the place was relatively empty. I ordered the Combo Plate #2 which included grilled lamb kabab, beef kofta and chicken kabab. The combo came with a Jerusalem salad, house salad which was essentially a cucumber salad, pita bread and rice. Overall, the flavors were generally all there. The only issue I had was with the preparation of the chicken and lamb. The chicken was overcooked and dry. It is as if they had cooked the chicken kabab and was refiring it on the grill to order. The beef kofta was fairly tender and flavorful, but the lamb kabab seemed to lack the distinct gamey lamb flavor that questions the quality of the meat. The combo plate is a hearty portion so you certainly won't go away hungry. Overall, for the area, Falafel Dream should satisfy any Meditereanean food craving. I haven't specifically tried their falafel, but I would be cautious if they are made beforehand rather than made to order. If you have ever had authentic Middle Eastern food, this doesn't really quite hit the bar. It may cater more to the American taste preference. Service was average. Prices were reasonable. Parking is very limited.

I've since visited the Niles location several times. The food has always been consistently excellent, but unfortunately the service has never matched the quality of the kitchen. Today's visit was by far the worst. It took over 10 minutes for our server to come to the table to take our order. Throughout the meal, I had to repeatedly flag her down whenever we needed something. To make matters worse, she seemed to disappear halfway through dinner--I'm assuming she clocked out--because we had to get another server's attention just to receive basic assistance. The food, however, was fantastic. I ordered the Al Bawadi Seafood Mixed Grill, and it absolutely delivered. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. That's what makes this so frustrating. This restaurant serves some of the best Middle Eastern food in the area, but when you're paying premium prices, you expect service that matches the quality of the food. I still recommend the food without hesitation, but the consistently poor service at the Niles location is making it harder to justify returning.

Our server was so kind and never let us make the mistake of ordering the wrong thing. She gave us her recommendations every step of the way and every single one was perfect. What we got: Mint lemonade: 5/5. SO refreshing and delicious. Perfect sweetness and the little bit of pulp you get is great. I only wish there was more of it! Chicken arayes: 4.5/5. Crispy, cheesy, garlicky. Need I say more? Get some extra garlic on the side if you wanna take it up a notch. Fried halloumi: 4/5. These are like a soft mozzarella stick, so tasty. Definitely eat the pickles with them. Lamb chops: 4.5/5. 4 tender lamb chops seasoned beautifully. Definitely recommend the red rice over the yellow if you can handle a little bit of heat. Kanafeh: 5/5. Whoever thought that cheese, sweet syrup, phyllo, and pistachios would go together is a genius. Definitely don't leave without getting this dessert. The salt of the cheese perfectly balances out the sweetness. No notes! And get some peppermint tea to go with it too. And the portion sizes are huge! Definitely get your money's worth here. My only issue is this place is right by my job so now I'm gonna go broke getting food here all the time. But that's a problem I'd love to have!

O Ema. I love a…read morekiller Mediterranean restaurant. There aren't enough. I'm obsessed with their sister restaurant, Aba, and Ema gave a similar experience. It's trendy and clean and elevated and feels like you're in Greece at a super nice beach club. They've done an excellent job with the atmosphere. The service is the quickest I've ever seen and staff are friendly and professional. There were lots of kids in there, but I'd say it's nicer restaurant. The spicy whipped feta was tasty, but not spicy at all. It had pistachios and pomegranates on top - i'm not sure if they gave us the wrong whipped feta or they've changed the menu, but there was zero spice to it. The lamb ragu hummus was also good. Super hearty and a great twist to a normally plain dip. The veggies that came with it were displayed SO stunning. Rainbow carrots and lots of fun veggies. The pita was delicious as well. We had 2 chicken kabobs - the grilled and the kefta. Both were seasoned and cooked great. I'd get the Kefta one again - the tzatziki it comes with was perfect. For dessert, we had pistachio and cookies n sprinkles Greek frozen yogurt. It really is Greek frozen yogurt and you can taste it. The pistachio one came with almost a pistachio infused sauce on top. If you order at the table, it's a much larger portion than if you get it from the to- go window. We got both one at the table and one to go, and the one of the table did taste significantly better. I'm not kidding - you order and then within 3 to 5 minutes the dish comes out. They really know how to get you in and out, but we also had wine so it's fun to sit and just relax too. Overall, the food quality wasn't quite as high as I was hoping (comparing it to Ava), but I'd come back of course.
