Came back here again for catering (this is my second time) and they were just as amazing. I ordered for another event at my house and everything went so smoothly. They're always super friendly and attentive. They even offered to help me carry everything out to my car which I really appreciated. And the cutest part the owner's dad went and grabbed me two falafels for the road like that was so sweet. I love supporting family-owned businesses, especially when they're this consistent. The food is always fresh, and even a day or two later it still tastes really good which is a big deal for catering. This is definitely my go-to now for events. We booked for a party of 50 in this lovely cozy restaurant. Didn't know how the outcome will be it being a big party. The food was amazing. Cap off to the chef. The most tasty meat I've had in a long time. This competes wirh the top names out there and surpasses alot on the top of the list. From the chicken kabob to the filet kabob. So tender. Delicious and juicy chicken Shawarma. The portions are very large and a very fast delivery.

Everything was so good, it's all homemade, and it's all Halal certified. The owner has over 30 years of experience, and it really showed through the cooking. The kebabs were so juicy. The rice was soft and fluffy, no complaints, and it was a little earthy from the quinoa essence. My favorite kebab I tried was the Beef Kifta Kebab. Tender and moist. I love Baba Ghanoush, just the smokiness really tingles my taste buds, never had a bad baba ghanoush if we're keeping it a buck. They also do a lot of catering, and you need to save room for dessert. Their homemade Dubai chocolate was the best one I've tried, it's super crunchy from the shredded phyllo dough, and just irresistible, so we got more to go. The Dubai Chocolate brownie was also a showstopper, same flavors as the Dubai chocolate, but more dense from the brownie aspect. Give this place a try, you won't regret it. read more

Really good food, super cute interior! We just ordered and needed to run back home, but it was really cute inside. I don't think they have wait staff, so you'll need to go to the counter to order and then seat yourself. They have a good amount of seats but not an oversized place. I was surprised that they don't carry shawarma beef, only shawarma chicken. That's the only reason I can't give it 5 stars, but otherwise, everything we got was delicious! FYI this is located in a shopping center and on one corner is an IHOP and the other corner is a kids play place. Hope this helps you find it! read more

My wife ordered the Chicken Kebab Bowl which came over a bed of rice w/salad of cucumber & tomatoes, red cabbage, hummus & a pickle for $12.95. I ordered the Steak Kebab Bowl which came over a bed of rice w/salad of cucumber & tomatoes, red cabbage, hummus & a pickle for $13.95. The steak was very tender and tasty (but a little salty). They marinate the steak to make it very tender. We both had leftovers for the next day This is somewhere I will definitely come back to as the food & service were very good w/super reasonable prices. It had a little bit of everything, and I think it was all well seasoned. I thought the baklava were a little stale or dry as compared to other baklava I've had. I freaking love this place! Ever since I moved to this area, Zabaadi has consistently been a go-to spot for me for Mediterranean eats. Tucked away in a large strip mall, there's ample parking right in front of the store. It's extremely clean inside and way more spacious on the inside than it appears from the outside. The service here is great - everyone is always super helpful and accomodating. The owner, Yahya (I'm not sure if there's more owners), is always here serving guests and is very friendly. The food... THE FOOD. I love the food here to say the least! It's consistently fresh and delicious. I like any of their bowls (I usually get their chicken tender bowl) and their entrees (I usually get the mixed grill entree). The falafel here is to-die-for, same with their creamy hummus and garlic sauce. I love the spicy sauce they give on the side, as well. Everything is affordably priced and constantly fresh. I met a friend here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy so we were able to order right away. I ordered a Chicken Tender Bowl which comes with rice, tahini, chicken and some veggies. I found the bowl to be quite filling, portions were great and the tasted was excellent. The chicken was juicy with wonderful seasonings, rice was savory and veggies seemed fresh. My friend ordered Kifta Kabob plate and it came with side of hummus and pita as well as rice and meat. I was able to try her meal as well and again, I found it to be quite excellent. When I went, the place was clean and staff were super friendly. Maybe an odd detail, but the bathroom has a shelf with two mini chairs which I thought was cute. I don't come to this area as often as I used to but middle eastern food is one of my favorites and this place will be in mind when I come back to the area. I come to restaurants with zero expectations in order to judge fairly and accurately. I can say that I was not dissatisfied with anything in this establishment. The staff was friendly and eager to show off their food. There was not a wait at the time of day we came, which was around 1:00 pm on a weekday. The decor has a real earthy feel with wood decor and colors that compliment it. Finally, for the food, I ordered a Zaabadi bowl. It generously comes with kifta, chicken, beef, onion and tomato, and hummus over a bed of rice. I haven't had this style of food often l, but from others I have tried, this was the most favorable assortment of flavors I have had in a bowl. You could leave it unmixed and get a different set of flavors for every bite by choosing a different side of the bowl to eat from. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Dropping the stars today. It seems they changed the mixed grill. Now the shish kebab in the mixed grill was some skinny steak cut up. I'm not sure if they ran out and didn't tell me but this tasted more like the steak shwarma just not shredded. Disappointed this dish is over $20 I expect the shish kebab to be an actual kebab. If they ran out then it should be communicated. Update: I called and they changed the menu. Disappointing, it's a very expensive dish and I feel like the quality dropped. I'm disappointed, using the same steak as the shawarma just not shredded shouldn't be calling it a kebab. read more

Not only was the family running the place SO sweet offering free samples of kunafeh and felafel and making us feel welcomed and loved, but the food was AMAZING. The chicken kifteh was a 10/10 (I say as a kebab connoisseur and Persian myself), baba ganoush is probably top 3 I've had in my life. Hands down, the absolute best food. Whenever I visit my parents, this is my go-to spot because consistency is key and you really get it here. My family has tried a variety of dishes (chicken/beef/kifta kebab bowls, wraps, falafels, etc) and the quality and taste never disappoint (the tahini and hot sauce are amazing!). The staff is extremely hospitable, especially the owners, just very very welcoming individuals. My only complaint is that they don't have a location in the northern suburbs! Try kiddo had an event in the area so between drop off and pick up I decided to stop in for some lunch. The employees were nice. Service was good. The ingredients were fresh, but the flavor was lacking. I've been eating middle eastern food since I came out of the womb. This was missing a punch. The salad was missing the kick of lemon which I've grown up with. It just tasted like cucumber, tomato and mint which is fine, but it's not the flavor I have grown up loving. The falafel was phenomenal though. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while soft in the inside with good flavor. I would definitely get the falafel again. I think rice would be a good addition to the veggie bowl. I also really wish they offered pickled turnips and vimto. They do offers jarritos but some vimto just hits different with middle eastern food. It's worth a visit for sure! read more

The bowls come with a bed of rice, hummus, tomato/cucumber salad, pickled cabbage, pickles and your choice of meat or falafel. The falafel bowl comes with 4 pieces. The quality of the falafel = amazing! I really enjoyed this bowl because it was so refreshing to me. Omg the rice was so good! They give you a red sauce and I think tahini sauce with your bowl. My bud really likes Zabaadi, a fairly new Mediterranean eatery located in a Norridge strip mall (hey, free parking!). So we went there for lunch yesterday. Their sign above the entry poses the curious question: What do you have in mind? You walk in, place your order, and the food comes out in mere minutes. While we were eating, there were few dine-ins but they were doing a decent amount of takeout business. I ordered the Mixed Grill platter which comes with chicken kabob, steak shawarma, and kefta kabob along with rice, hummus, tomato, onion and other veggies. Everything tasted pretty good, and to me surprisingly I liked the chicken the best of the three meats. My bud loves the Zabaadi bowl, with a mix of steak shawarma, chicken shawarma, and falafel. I wanted to try the falafel and amazingly the guy gave me two falafels on the house - tasty and crispy. While I may not love Zabaadi as much as my bud does, I did like the food and wouldn't mind checking it out if I am in the area. read more

Very disappointed in the food I received. I have been ordering the chicken kebab bowl for a close to a year now and each time I was happy as I received what was pictured on their menu. The picture shows 6 pieces of chicken on rice with hummus, cucumber/tomato salad, red cabbage and pickles. This time when I ordered the exact same thing I only received 4 pieces of chicken with hummus and salad. No red cabbage and no pickles. If the quality and quantity of the food is changed then that should reflect in the photo posted both on the website and on online ordering. This was very false advertising so beware and check your meal before purchasing. So disappointed in this place :( read more

I have visited Zabaadi in person, ordered for pick up, and Uber eats this place is a little gem! Always fresh ingredients and tasty. Even the picks up my food was warm and made to order. I have had the hummus and baba ghanoush both had great flavors and were authentically made. My entree was the Zabaadi bowl which had grilled chicken kabob and kifta kabob. Very tender and grilled to perfection. The employees are friendly and asked how our meal was. They really cared. The restaurant was clean. Great spot, happy there is a Mediterranean restaurant close by. Will make this place a regular on my rotation of restaurants. read more
