I've had their food twice now, with a few weeks between visits. Same items both times. Food was awesome both times! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma sandwich ($9) and a side of Falafel ($3). The Falafel is made fresh to order. You can see the guy scooping the fresh made mixture out of the bin next to the deep fryer and placing the contents into the fryer. These are not pre made falabel balls that are mearly reheated. The textures were spot on and the flavors were among the best I've tasted in a falafel. Let me tell you about the Chicken Shawarma sandwich, kids. You know how gyro places have the big gyro meat shank roasting on a rotisserie, while they shave the strips from it? These guys have that rotisserie on the truck, but it has stacks of marinated chicken breasts piled upon one another. Then lamb fat sits atop the rotisserie and drips down onto the chicken, basting it as it heats! They don't stop there. They make their own flippin' pita bread!! The shawarma sandwich is bountiful and worth every bit of the $9 price tag. The pita is filled with the chicken, finely diced cucumber and tomatoes, and I have no doubt the sauce is fresh made too. Other sandwich options include the Falafel sandwich ($6) and the Fried Eggplant sandwich ($7). Sides include Fried Eggplant ($4) and house cut fries ($3). They recently added a third team member on the truck which is good because they were slowwww the first time I saw them. There was no sacrifice on quality, however. Love this food truck! I had brought my lunch to work, but on a rainy Friday I craned my neck to look out the window to see what food trucks might be out there. Oh my gosh-falafel guys! I put my lunch back in the fridge grabbed my wallet and my umbrella and walked outside. This is really great comfort food. read more

Some of the best food I had over the summer came off a truck. When I worked the streets as an ambulance driver, we used to call them "roach coaches," in Chicago, but this truck was immaculate on the inside, at least from what I could see peeking in. Delicious falafel sandwich, you'd have to go to an Arabic country like Lebanon, Israel, or Dearborn Michigan to get anything better. And the location? Well it's been convenient when the truck was right in front of me. Can't beat a delicious meal for under 10$ you don't even have to get off of your bicycle to order and eat. read more

These guys do seem to be trying, but are suffering from a bit of an identity crisis. The restaurant looks like fast food from the name and the cheap signs in the windows, but looks more upscale from the interior decor (and from the prices!). Also, they have an "extensive wine list for your enjoyment. Check it out!" We had decided to try them out after seeing Avengers: Infinity War at the Marcus in Mequon. But it didn't occur to us until we were about to downtown Thiensville that it was Mother's Day. So we were prepared for a mob scene. Weirdly, Falafel Guys was completely empty when we showed up at about 6pm. Which is never a good sign. And even worse on a day when most good restaurants are slammed. But we were hungry, and reviews sounded good. So ... The server wanted to take our orders the instant we sat down. We explained we were new to the place and needed some time. Then she was back in a few minutes. Same story. This time she went and sat at the bar with a couple other guys who appeared to work there. When we put our menus down, we figured she'd be on us like saffron on rice. But this time we had to wave to her at the bar to get her to come back to take our orders. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast entree ($15). A ordered the Shakshuka ($13) ... billed as a "Tunisian dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, peppers and onion, served with pita bread." The menu said no sides are included with the Shakshuka. But the server mumbled something about our getting some part of a Meze Salad because we had both ordered entrees. Too bad she didn't mention that one of the sides I'd chosen with my meal, was also coming as part of the Meze Salad. With the server now back at the bar, it was a bit uncomfortable as we tried to enjoy our meal. We just felt like we were keeping these people from something more important. Even though their website said they were supposed to be open till 8pm. Anyhow, A liked her Shakshuka quite a bit. I was less thrilled with the Grilled Chicken Breast. The beer list was short. The $4 Sága IPA pints (Summit Brewing Company) were good, but not great. I'm just glad we didn't bring our mums. ;-) read more

Delicious vegetarian meal! I had the eggplant sandwich from the truck at Cedarburg Sounds of Summer and I can't stop thinking about it. It can be hard to find a satisfying veggie dinner at an event like an outdoor concert and this exceeded my expectations. Part comfort food, part fresh veggies, and part rich flavors. Thanks for opening, but I can't return, the meat has basically been removed from your sandwiches. At first I might've consider it a meal; but now, there's no way I'm spending $9 on a piece of bread filled with cucumbers and tomatoes. Good place to go for hummus and pita though. read more

Whoa. Delicious! Found these guys at the West Town Farmer's Market over lunch and tried their sharwarma sandwich for the first time. Sharwarma is an oft abused term that many times means a meat something like the Greek gyro. In reality it's supposed to be marinated meat (chicken, lamb, beef) that is stacked on a spit then roasted. This version appears to be the genuine article and has a great flavor and texture with little crispy spots. It is served in a pita with a healthy dose of hummus, tahini and some crisp cabbage and onions. I also asked for some hot sauce and they gave me a delicious, green spicy chutney. I'll definitely keep an eye out for these guys around town. read more

Fast food? No. But definitely worth the wait! This review is for the restaurant in Theinsville, not the food truck in Milwaukee. My wife and I arrived at 6:30 for dinner on a Tuesday evening. While lots of cars were in the parking area, the interior of the restaurant was almost empty. That's because most of the patrons were dining in the outdoor area that evening. Still, the service (our waitress) was immediate, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our drinks arrived quickly, and we we placed our order, Schwarma for my wife and "Sashlik" for myself. The sashlik turned out to be 6 tender chunks of skewered and grilled beef tenderloin done to perfection (medium rare as ordered). My wife's chicken schwarma was plentiful, warm and tasty. The delicious sides served with meals included excellent tabbouleh, a yummy Israeli salad (looks like salsa fresca but isn't), fresh cucumber salad, fresh corn relish salad, red cabbage slaw, a dish of green olives and sliced dill pickles, and two thick fresh warm and tender flat breads. Best part, NOTHING WAS FRIED! I understand that the Falafel Guys east side food truck is extremely popular, now I know why. read more

I frequent the Falafel Guys food truck at the West Town Farmers Market. I really like their falafel sandwich. They are very popular and often it takes a while to get my sandwich. I usually don't mind waiting because its that good. Today, I ordered my sandwich, waited, trudged all the way back to my office and dug into my sandwich. I was very disappointed to find only a few balls of falafel and a couple of cubes of cucumber. Where was everything else??! I am very disappointed about this. The toppings are part of what makes this sandwich something to look forward to, I might start trying some of the other food trucks at the market after this experience :( read more

At the old site of B1 Burgers a mobile food truck 'Falafel Guys' has taken up residence. The menu has some limited diversity, no complaints, but let's cut to the chase. It's printed on heavy stock with the font of a fancy restraunt, and dizzying prices to match. Yet... I sat at a bar and ate food truck cuisine off waxed paper and $0.15 cent plastic baskets. The fries were tasty, the pita was excellent, and filled with very well prepared ingredients. Not being a regular to Mediterranean cuisine I'm not sure if there was supposed to be more to the flavor than curry powder. That detail aside, the chicken was delicious. But honestly. The prices!? This is a food truck pulled up to a bar at a low buck lunch counter. Tasty lunch or no, at would make me wince at half the price. read more

This is the REAL DEAL!! I am Australian, and very much miss the variety of food choices available in Sydney. Middle Eastern fare is one my most missed cuisines. Falafel Guys is as good as any I have had, anywhere! Wonderful food, great authentic flavors. I especially liked the olives/pickles and Israeli Salad. Fantastic! Have only visited once, since it is a bit of a drive from where we live, but I very much look forward to our next visit. read more

We had the special -- Hummus with Falafels and it was served with the softest warm pita and the creamiest hummus I've ever had! Just delicious. The falafels were crisp on the outside and tasty on the inside. We also had the sausage skillet -- great tasting cut up sausage with couscous --- I've never seen this large couscous, but it was delicious --- great flavor. Great drink choices, lots of TV screens for viewing your favorite sports teams, a wonderful atmosphere with delicious food. We had a wonderful evening out and will definitely stop again. read more

Our visit to Falafel Guys was quite mixed. Two positives: The falafel really is delicious, about the best I've ever had. The free appetizers before the meal - eggplant, tabbouleh, corn salad - are also really good. Two negatives: My shawarma sandwich had barely any meat in it, a real disappointment! I would avoid it in the future. I would also avoid the appetizer sampler. The falafel is by far the tastiest item. The other items are bland in comparison to both the falafel and the free appetizers. So, stick to the free appetizers. read more

Love the location in Thiensville! Some of my favorites are their shawarma sandwich, their eggplant sandwich, and their baba ghanoush. Everyone is always super nice and welcoming. The food has always been delicious, and I believe my boyfriend and I have eaten there or ordered take-out a few dozen times by now, and we have never been disappointed. I have never had their food from their food truck, but the restaurant is an A+ in my book. read more

These guys lurk around on Silver Spring in Whitefish Bay, sometimes parking in front of City Market and across from Sendik's. I finally poked my nose in and got a Chicken Shawarma sandwich, and I was impressed! Operative word here: "fresh." The pita was soft and homemade, the sauce was a fresh and delicious cucumber yogurt mix, and the chicken had just the right amount of spice and came fresh off a rotisserie meat thing in the truck that I could see. The truck was very clean and the guys running it very polite and efficient and friendly. I only took a star off for the price--it's a wee bit hefty at $9 for a sandwich. Take 2 bucks off and I would be happier. read more

Delicious food, disappointing service. The line for Falafel Guys is usually extremely long - so long that people tend to order their food, walk around the market for a few minutes, and come back when their number is closer to being called. However, if you miss your number (even by TWO numbers) they give your food away! I am appalled by the horrendous customer service displayed by Falafel Guys today. My coworkers, who previously ranted and raved about this place, witnessed the encounter and are subsequently turned off. Oscar's on a Roll will be receiving our business from now on. read more
