Doner Kebab - Classic order and the doner wrap - Wraps Near Me - Hartford, Wisconsin

Doner Kebab has two locations with Hartford, WI being the original (2nd location is in Milwuakee, WI). Doner Kebab delightfully offers a sandwich very similar to the ones I frequently enjoy when visiting Germany! It's great to have the ability to have something similar so close to home. The Bread The flat bread itself is made fresh in-house daily from just 5 ingredients. The bread is soft with crispy edges and pockets the doner ingredients nicely, and is made fresh in-house daily! The insides The doner ingredients feature veggies, meat, and sauce. Meat--The meat offerings are beef or chicken, depending on their rotating weekly meat schedule. Last I knew, chicken was on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and beef was Thursday-Saturday. Veggies--their veggie offerings include onion, red cabbage, lettuce, and tomato. Sauce--Their signature sauces are yogurt-based with a hint of mayo and include herb (krauter), garlic (knoblauch), spicy (sharf) or try a trio of all three for an authentic style. They offer the classic doner, a donerdilla (think doner + quesedilla in one), doner wraps, doner bowls (gluten-free option), or loaded fries. You can also order a side of seasoned fries, or take your order and make it a combo with a drink (coke products) and fries. FYI, their seasoned fries are worth it. Current Tuesday Special is: Buy 3, Get 1 Free (deals rotate) Ambiance is clean and chill--casual dine-in or order to-go. Service is friendly and attentive. What more could you ask for on this side of the globe! read more

I can't believe my friends that live in Hartford were correct. If you're familiar with Doner Kebabs these are the real deal. I felt like I was back in Europe. read more

I heard about Doner Kebab a couple of years ago and finally had the chance to give them a try, it was certainly worth the wait! A rather small both type layout located in a strip mall that presented well inside. I ordered the Classic Kabob with all of the fixings with spicy sauce and was very pleased with the taste, the size and had all I could do to finish it. Coupled with an order of fries with cheese sauce made for a tasty treat. My wife had the kabob bowl which was tasty and plentiful. The service was great and the food was fresh. Next visit I will be sure to order some extra sauce for the kabob and I will certainly be back! read more

So it's a doner kebab place which is Turkish food. But advertised as German. And there were very kind Hispanic people working there. I don't know where or what to call this food it just amazing! I would have expected this food if I was looking for middle eastern food near Detroit but I was in Hartford. 10 minutes from Little Switzerland. Moist off the kebab meat. Get the original. Has this grilled crispy pita outside and soft warm middle. Wife liked the quesadilla version. Good but you will miss that pita bread. They have garlic, herb, or spicy sauce. Get all three! It's the trio. Honestly every new place just makes living in MKE just better. Always had good people. Just needed quality ethnic food. This place adds that. A German, Turkish, Hispanic place that just hits the spot. And the garlic is potent. You will be enjoying that flavor for a few hours after:-) read more

First time trying Doner Kebab and we had high expectations. They were surpassed! Absolutely delicious. And what was almost as good as the Classic Donner? The fries!!! They were so well seasoned, fresh out of the fryer, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Insane, plus cheese sauce on the side??? Was amazing. My dad and I split the meal deal and we both left full, satisfied and planning our next trip back! read more

The food was awesome! The classic doner hit the spot! The bread was super fresh, the veggies were nice and crunchy, and that seasoned meat right off the grill was just out of this world! Pairing it with some crispy seasoned fries was the perfect touch. And don't even get me started on that sauce combo--so good! read more

Only issue I had was I got too full, but I couldn't stop eating!! Some people complain about the price, but you get what you pay for. I payed for an AMAZING kebab on their homemade pita with all (3) sauces as recommended by others. I also agree to doing it this way. Employees were very nice and the dining room was clean. Will happily "over" pay again! read more

Verdict on Döner Kebab restaurant in Hartford - it's legit. The bread's soft but chewy, with a slightly crispy exterior, just like it should be--made right in-house. They also have the three traditional sauces, which are made from scratch: garlic yogurt, spicy red, and herb. Add in the rotisserie-cooked meat, thinly shaved and packed with flavor, paired with fresh veggies (onion, red cabbage, and tomatoes)--and it's a true taste of Turkish-influenced Germany! Too cold to get out of your car? They have a drive-thru! Deals to know: Tuesday: They only serve the chicken döner & it's B2G1 free Thursday: They have a beef döner deal - B2G1 50% off read more

This is probably the most authentic doner kebab outside of Germany! After we heard of its existence, we drove out an hour out of our way just to try it and it did not disappoint! Portions were huge, the seasoning reminded us of Berlin, and it really satisfied our craving. Try the classic doner & get the fries (even though it will be too much food!). The flavor is perfectly balanced - savory meat with fresh crunch vegetables on special toasted bread. Everything is made in-house! The owner was also incredibly friendly and we chatted with him while we enjoyed our meals. Can't wait for the Milwaukee location to open soon -- that will serve chicken doner which is VERY hard to find in the States! We will be back!!! read more

A sandwich so nice that I drove here twice, and we're talking nearly an hour drive just for a sandwich. Is it worth it? I believe so. Every penny. Today was my second visit, and they earned two new fans as my MiL and SiL joined my husband and I for lunch. Three of us ordered the classic kebab with different toppings, one had the wrap. We also had drinks and a basket of fries for the table. I almost regretted the fries because my sandwich was so filling! I ordered the classic kebab with all the veggies as well as the herb and garlic sauces. No cheese. It was quite literally a perfect sandwich. The fresh onions, cabbage, lettuce and tomato perfectly balanced the thinly sliced beef and sauces. I think next time I'll try the spicy sauce because I'm told it's not super spicy. The fries are just something else. I love the seasoning and they were nice and crispy while still fluffy in the center. Please don't skip on the fries, you will not regret it. The shop is quite unassuming from the outside, anchoring one end of a small strip that has a laundromat on the opposite end. But inside is clean and bright with plenty of seating. The staff are super friendly and excited to assist with any questions prior to ordering. The owner is also a genuinely great guy. I think we spoke with him for about 15 minutes about the shop and where we drove in from. How he got started. With someone so passionate, it's no wonder why people drive in from out of town to grab a sandwich. He literally loves making people happy with his food. I will definitely be back again, there's no question about that. Hopefully it won't take another year between visits! read more

02-19-2026, 5:00pm. Arrived and ate in the dining room as a small family outing. This is a very easy place to find and the parking was as good as it gets. I had no problem eating this delicious food in such a clean well maintained restaurant, staffed by a very friendly person. We had the wraps. I have absolutely no complaints at all about eating here. Our food was fantastic, and served quickly. I highly recommend trying this restaurant located in the small strip mall behind the drug store on the intersection of highway 60 & Lone Oak Road. I'll be a return customer. read more

Tucked away in a little strip mall in Slinger ... it's well worth the trip to get to experience some high-quality European street food.

Oh my goodness. This place is absolutely delicious. I'm very picky about my restaurants, and I will absolutely be returning here The spice blend in the döner is perfect, the fries are cooked absolutely perfectly. Getting the fries loaded adds so much amazing flavor, but they are still delicious without being loaded. The owner is a friendly man who grew up in Germany, and is one of the most genuine people you could meet, desire me only talking with him momentarily. I will absolutely be returning. The pictures do not do this place justice on how good everything tastes. I wish it were closer to where I live so that I could come more often. read more

I've been following Doner Kebab on social media since before they opened, but I don't make it out to Hartford often and hadn't tried them yet. When I finally found myself out that way I made sure to stop by. I ordered the Doner Wrap without tomato and onion and only the garlic and herb sauces of the three options they have (spicy being the third). I liked the wrap overall. It was well portioned and both the garlic and herb sauces specifically stood out. The cabbage and lettuce seemed a little redundant and had me wishing that I liked tomato just to mix up the textures. I do appreciate that they grill the wrap in a panini press. The menu is literally just the Classic Doner in a flatbread and the Doner Wrap that I had and both have pretty much the same ingredients (the classic doesn't have cheese), so it's a good thing they're good at what they do. The wrap by itself is $14.75 (as of 5/10/2023) which makes this a once in a great while thing and not something I'd go to Hartford for by itself. read more

First time there. Drove 30 minutes..and let me tell you, we will be back!!! I decided to make this my lunch on the way up North. The classic doner reminded me of the doner I had visiting Munich in 2019. Very good with all the topings/sauces. I will make sure to return for more on the way back to Chicago. The service was fast and friendly. read more

Diner Kebob's has never disappointed. I often get decision paralysis when presented with too many options, so I appreciate their simplistic menu. Their classic doner with extra sauce is my go-to. The service is always pleasant and there's never an unnecessary wait for my food. read more

We drove about half an hour just to try this place based on the fact that they appeared to be serving genuine German doner kebab sandwiches. We tried the Classic Doner sandwich, and the portion size was pretty good, though I don't know that I'd call it a $17 sandwich. The pita bread was soft yet had a nice crunch, and there was a generous amount of meat inside. We were disappointed that it didn't seem like the sandwiches had fresh shaved meat off of the rotisserie spit because the meat was a little dry. It could have used a little extra sauce; I'd asked for extra but I think they forgot -- the photos on the website show a lot more sauce than what you get. Some extra tomatoes and onions inside would have been a nice balance as well, in hindsight. The fries were really good and served with a side of cheese sauce. We took our sandwiches to go and ate at a nearby park; the restaurant interior doesn't have a ton of available seating and there was some ambient noise from the open kitchen that made it a little loud. It reminded us of the doner kebab we'd enjoyed so much in Berlin, so that was nice. read more

Was eating a gyro omelette at one of the local diners which sparked a conversation with my 86-year-old mother about gyros in general. I mentioned that I wish we had a place that served doner kebab like I used to get in Germany, which I felt was even better than a gyro. To my surprise, my mother said she was wondering what a doner kebab was because there was a place nearby called Doner Kebab. Even though I had just finished eating, I decided to take one for carryout before heading back to Madison. Enjoying it later it was delicious and now I make it a point to go there every time I visit my mom.. read more

Literally incredible. The staff was outstanding and the food was drool worthy. The staff, I assume the owner, explained all of the options to us. I got the classic doner as the pita is made in house. I chose the option to have all three sauces on the sandwich and I will definitely do the same in the future. The sandwich was not spicy with the trio. Which is maybe the only thing I'd change about my order next time I visit. This sandwich tasted so fresh and I cannot wait for my next doner! read more

The Donar Kebob is the best sandwich around. Hands down! The bread is fresh, the sauces are delicious and the veggies fresh. The service is quick, friendly and efficient. First time visit tonight with a friend. Having never tried a Doner before we weren't sure what to expect. We found them to be quite filling and very tasty. We both tried the herb sauce this time, and will have to try the other kinds of sauce on our next visit. A nice alternative to the Gyro. read more

The classic Doner was phenomenal! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Very excited for something new and unique in the area!

Finally a doner that taste like the real thing. After being stationed in Germany for years I have longed for a good doner. This taste exactly what I remember from Germany they make everything in house with authentic German recipes. The owners are extremely nice and very hospitable. Shop is clean just like you would expect. Thank you for coming to Hartford you have brought back so many fond memories of my times in Germany. I've came here twice now and I have to admit, this is the closest I've had to the real thing in the US. The Döner's here are seasoned well, although I recommend getting light lettuce because otherwise they pile it on and it overpowers all other flavors. I ordered mine with the Knoblauch and Kräuter Sauce(garlic sauce and herb sauce). These sauces are delicious. They also have a Scharf sauce(spicy sauce) but there really isn't much spice to it at all. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. The place is also very clean which is a great thing to see. They have a drive through window, although everything is carved and made to order so it does take about 5 minutes for your order to be completed, but it's worth it! I'll have to come here at least twice a month. This is definitely a MUST VISIT! read more
