Swindled!!!!! Brett had done some prior work at my house…read more(while working for another company) and I felt that I could trust him. I asked him to upgrade my home computer and he said he could do so. He sent me an invoice for $2433 (see below). After he completed the work, I immediately had extreme difficulties with my computer shutting down and giving me terminal errors. When I called him and asked him to come fix it, he asserted that it was probably a problem with the memory cards. I work in healthcare and explained to Brett that I really needed his help because my computer is critical to my productivity during the work week. Because he did not physically come to my house again, I began to look at the computer components myself to see if I could effect a repair..... Discovery of the full extent of his dishonesty!!!!!! You can imagine my surprise when I realized that Brett had charged me a significant markup on the products that he installed in my computer (see attached yellow highlights in photograph). For instance, you can see that for the motherboard, I paid him $349 for was available on Amazon for $229. In addition, he charged me $598 for memory, which was available on Amazon for $418. Now I have no problem with a markup on products, because I believe in businesses making a profit. But, you will also note he had already charged me $450 for labor, so his profit was already included.....And, I told Brett so. But wait......It gets better...When I started looking inside the computer, I discovered that he overcharged me for were not even what was inside my computer. For instance, what I paid him for Memory capacity was $598 (again $180 more than Amazon pricing). But then I discovered what he put in my computer was actually worth $178... he overcharged me for $420!! - and installed old equipment! - see the ram below he put in my computer. It was used, and not what I paid for). The same was true with the motherboard, which he charged me $349 for, and when I looked inside the computer, discovered he gave me a significantly substandard motherboard that was only worth $210.00 (again, I was overcharged by $139 for an old part that was significantly less sophisticated than his invoice - see below). So in essence, he gave me used parts, lied to me about what products he installed on my computer, and overcharged me by 3X! My attempts to rectify the situation!!!!!! I called Brett multiple times and asked him to come to the house to exchange the cash I paid him for the products that were not what I expected. He simply did not respond and went dormant. I had to repair the computer by myself using my own resources and time. I sent him a video of the components in the computer and asked him why he would charge me for one thing, but install another (and even at that, charge me three times what it was worth). He said "must have been my vendor" and asserted he had no idea. After that, he never responded to me again (see my last text to him below.....to which I received no response). In my video to him, I asked him why he was so dishonest with me and why he would take advantage of my trust. I can't say enough about his lack of follow up, his dishonesty with the products he sold me, the markup on the products, and then the failure to be transparent. By no means can I recommend his service to anyone on any audiovisual or computer installations. His proclivity for dishonesty outweighs any possibility of an honest install with follow through. I hope this review helps others before they make the mistake of trusting Brett.

He worked diligently on all of our projects in a timely and efficient manner. Importantly, Alberto was reliable and I trusted him as he took pride in his work and the outcome. Alberto addressed each task as if it were a problem to solve, critically-thinking and approaching complications as a challenge. This is in direct opposition to my prior experiences, where any job was treated in an algorithmic-approach without much thought or reason. In addition to his work, Alberto was fairly priced. A brief rundown of the major work he provided: 1. Lutron lighting upgrade throughout the house 2. Complete wired ethernet backhaul with 4 wireless access-points 3. Retrofit home with Cat-6 ethernet access points 4. EV Installation with breaker panel in basement (not in garage) 5. Sonos Speaker wall-mounting 6. Chandelier installation 7. Installation of heated towel racks 8. Power supply and installation of bidet 9. Circuit breaker identification and labeling

We recently hired Alberto based on a neighbor's recommendation. We've had difficulty identifying…read moretalented, motivated, and fairly priced contractors in recent years, but were very happy to come across Alberto. Alberto installed electrical outlets, switches, and specialized lighting in our theater room. This was no small feat because our lighting needs included swivel fixtures that needed to be installed in pinpoint locations that were difficult to access. Alberto navigated a range of technical problems that arose, particularly in wiring through a complicated wall cap and joist system, as well as through cabinetry boxes I was in the process of constructing. Alberto also talked through several ideas with me and provided excellent suggestions, even on aspects of the theater outside his hired scope of work. Alberto finished the work on time and on budget. The end result appeared as if I hired an expensive company specializing in theater construction, but I never had to pay the hefty price tag those types of companies typically demand. I was impressed with Alberto's expertise and work ethic, so I added several additional items to his scope of work while he was at our house. Alberto installed lighting and a dimmer switch in a window bench and cabinetry in my daughter's room as a reading nook. My daughter's reading nook was a project near and dear to my heart because I spent the better part of 2 years building it, so I was particularly picky about how the lighting's end result looked. Alberto nailed it....both the look and the functionality. We also asked him to install several ceiling fans and light fixtures throughout our home. I have since asked Alberto to return to install additional chandeliers and ceiling fans at our home. Further, Alberto provided quotes on upgraded light switches, cat6 ethernet cable installation, and EV charger installation as future projects we intend to hire him for. We've enjoyed our experiences working with Alberto and have already passed his contact information to other homeowners seeking dependable, reasonably priced contractors.
