This is my latest color choice, a nod to Halloween coming up in a french tip style. Mary is always helpful on choosing my best nail shape, repairing my nails if one is thin or broken and helping me choose fun colors, even though I usually gravitate to pinks or purples. I have been getting my nails done for 30 years, and have been coming to this salon since it opened about three years ago. You get very convenient parking, always available unless it is the one weekend of the art & wine in the summer, plan accordingly for that. Always fabulously decorated for whatever holiday or season it is at the time. Right now the fall decor is gorgeous, just peek in and check it out if you haooen to be shopping at Raleys next door. It is so festive and inviting. You are graciously greeted every time by the girls at the front who check you in, and ALWAYS offer you a beverage while you wait and when you are seated. Jen, the owner, takes care of planning your every need to make you comfortable. There are plentiful sugary snacks to treat your sweet tooth, and fun juice or mimosas while your relax and pamper yourself with her unique and beautiful array of pedicure offerings. Definitely check out all the brand new pedicure stations too. Super comfortable. Mary is my go-to, and she always does a perfect 10 job for me. And just when you think that is all to talk about? On top of that, you earn points from your visits which provide discounts toward services. Not all salons do this. If you are looking for price vs quality for price paid, choose Mood every time. You can thank me later.

It was easy to schedule an appointment with Nailaland, just give them a call and book. The removal fee was $15, and the cost of a new set varied from $70-90+, depending on the chosen design. Chloe, my nail technician, was very patient during the removal process despite the big jewels flying everywhere as she was filing it off. After showing her a photo of the new design I wanted, she skillfully delivered a pretty finished product that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, one of the butterfly wings broke after I got home, but Chloe was able to schedule a free fix after I contacted her. The salon accepts Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal as payment methods. I highly recommend coming here for quality Japanese nails.

Japanese gel is supposed to last much longer and doesn't lift. I immediately requested an appt. (it was my first time using this yelp option!). I answered some automated questions about the service I was interested in (nail art), dates I was available for an appt., who I'd like to make an appt. with (I chose Janice bc she had more reviews), and uploaded photos of inspo nails. I was messaged back in a timely matter to confirm the appt. I also inquired about the price (included a photo of the nails i wanted) to know what to expect with nail art. I was quoted $70-$75 (without extensions). Fast forward to my 11am appt. a few days after our interaction.. I arrive 10 min early, but the shop is completely closed. The sign says they are open at 10am, so I'm confused, like maybe I'm at the wrong place or?? I call, a girl apologizes saying someone should be there shortly. Ok, not a huge deal. I thought I would be getting my nails done by Janice, since that's who I chose in my appt. request, but Yumi was the one who opened up the shop and ended up doing my nails. She was really sweet and easy to talk to. For my nails, I wanted the design from the photo, but without the accent nail. I wasn't completely satisfied with my nails bc I feel like it wasn't as precise as in my inspo photo, but it was decent enough. When I went to pay she told me my total was $89, which caught me off guard bc according to our messages, I was quoted $70-$75, which when I told her, she said "I said it would be AROUND $70-$75." Why give a price range and not honor it? $14 is a big difference. Anyway, I'm not one to cause a scene so I paid, tipped, and left feeling like I was taken advantage of. 5 days after getting my nails done, the gel has already started lifting/ peeling. I'm even more disappointed and probably would not come back.

I loved that the appointment did not feel rushed, and how she took her time to make sure each and every nail was perfect.
