I first came across Fairview Green River on Zola and reached out for pricing. Based on the initial information, I assumed it would be outside of our budget. I even scheduled a tour but nearly canceled because I didn't want to spend another Saturday touring a venue my fiancé and I felt we couldn't afford. When I contacted them to cancel, they encouraged me to keep the appointment--and I'm so glad I did. At the time, we didn't have a wedding date, and Fairview happened to be offering a discounted rate for a Saturday wedding along with several perks we couldn't pass up. That completely changed our minds. We attended one of their fairs to try the food, and honestly, I had mixed feelings at first. By that point, we were already committed to the venue, so I was hoping for the best. I shared my concerns with Sandra, who was our main contact throughout the process. She walked me through other menu options and reassured me that we would love the food--and she was absolutely right. The vendors they work with were wonderful. Tasteful Cakes, Ivy & Co, and The Southern California Wedding Guys were all responsive, professional, and easy to work with. Pricing for add-ons was also very reasonable compared to vendors I had researched on my own. Day of the wedding: Our day-of coordinator, Darian, was amazing. She stayed calm, organized, and collected while making sure the entire wedding party had everything they needed. Sandra also checked in on me throughout the day, which I really appreciated. During cocktail hour, the Fairview team had drinks and snacks set aside for us so we could enjoy some time and take our sunset photos. When we returned for our grand entrance, our dinner and drinks were already waiting for us at our table--such a thoughtful touch. We truly had the best night ever surrounded by our favorite people. And the food? AMAZING. We chose the American package with prime rib and a carving station. They also offered Italian and Mexican options, but the carving station sealed the deal for us. The only downside was that we only had access to the venue two hours before the wedding. A third hour would have been ideal. While I could have paid for the extra hour, I do feel this should be included. For reference, we chose the all-inclusive Elite package. A few helpful notes for anyone considering it: Flowers are partially included: table centerpieces and the ceremony arch are covered, but bouquets and boutonnieres are not. We purchased those separately, and their pricing was very fair--much more affordable than other florists. The DJ package includes the DJ only. Lighting, fog, and sparklers are upgrades. We chose to upgrade and were very happy we did. There are no additional cake-cutting fees, and the cake options were great. Our friends and family are still raving about the food, cake, DJ, and overall experience. Extremely Disappointing Experience - We had high hopes for this venue but unfortunately, our experience was filled with issues that no couple should have to deal with on their wedding day. First and foremost, while the ceremony site was beautiful, a train passed by at least four times during our ceremony, interrupting key moments. We were not informed that this could happen during the booking process--something we absolutely would have wanted to know beforehand. They should call this venue, Fairview Green Railway not River. The coordinator's, Darian's, behavior was shockingly unprofessional especially since she started off so pleasant and helpful. She was dressed inappropriately for a formal wedding and consistently rude, making snide remarks at us before and during the event. During our photo session, we were rushed and treated disrespectfully. Even our photographer was annoyed that she kept telling us how much time we had left and giving us the impression she wanted us to hurry up. Even worse, the she forgot to hand the bride her toss bouquet or at least let her know where she could find it, forcing her to throw her own instead which she wanted to preserve and keep for memory. The contract lacked clarity, especially around the guest count--we weren't told we needed to include ourselves (the bride and groom). When we raised this issue with Sandra, the coordinator, we were met with sarcasm and an unhelpful attitude making us feel as if we should have known. We ended up having to pay an unexpected $424 due to this lack of transparency since we had already invited our guests and now needed to add ourselves. We brought the issue to the CEO, and while he apologized, no compensation or meaningful resolution was offered. One of the most upsetting moments came right before walking down the aisle when the bride realized she had forgotten her vail. Rather than offering support, the coordinator, Darian, shouted, "Come on you guys, let's go!" in a rude and impatient tone. Her body language and tone created an extremely negative atmosphere during what should have been a calm, joyful moment. It almost seemed as if she was rushing so she can hurry up and go home since the DJ takes over the coordination after the grand entrance. The minute we sat down at our sweetheart table, she came to say her goodbyes and left. The cleaning crew also rushed us out after the wedding. We tried to go back only after 30 minutes after the wedding to do one final look through and see if we left anything behind and they had already closed the doors on us. We supposedly had one hour to clean up but this was not the case. Some items ended up staying behind. There was no follow up call just to check up on our experience on our wedding day. It's like once the wedding is over... you are dead to them. We are incredibly disappointed at the venues staff and would not recommend this it to any couple if you desire your coordinators to provide you with respect and professionalism. Your wedding day should feel magical and supported, not rushed, disrespected, and nickel-and-dimed. read more

My best friend got married at Green River and it was literally a dream come true for her! Leading up to the wedding, my friend seemed really relaxed (which, if you're familiar with weddings, almost never happens the week before the wedding), & she mentioned that her wedding coordinator was taking care of everything & she had already planned out details and decor with the staff prior. I thought that was pretty neat, even though I was lowkey worried that she wasn't worried lol Anyways, we did a wedding rehearsal the day before the wedding, and the wedding coordinator (I think her name was Danielle? I honestly can't remember but I remember it started with a D. If it's not Danielle, then I am so sorry to whoever the wedding coordinator is for not remembering your name!) introduced herself and made the entire wedding rehearsal efficient and easy to flow with. We even had young kids in the ceremony & as hyper as they were, Danielle was able to get their attention & we were able to practice the entire ceremony in two tries with them. Danielle made sure we knew what we were doing and answered all the questions that we had before we ended the rehearsal. She seemed really positive and upbeat, and I really liked how good she was at getting everyone's attention and making sure we were taken cared of. The day of the wedding, my friend (the bride) said everything was already taken cared of. As we were getting ready, I was in contact with Danielle (so the bride wasn't overwhelmed) and Danielle would communicate with us throughout the day when the flowers arrived, when we could arrive to the venue/bridal suite so we wouldn't run into the groom, etc. Once we got to the bridal suite, we saw a glimpse of the bouquets and they were SO pretty! While the bridesmaids got into their dresses and did their touch ups, Danielle let us know how to get the bride around without the couple running into each other prior to the ceremony, since that's what my friend wanted. As we got my friend ready in her dress, Danielle brought us champagne and glasses to toast, which was super fun and a really nice moment for my friend and her girls before the wedding. Then we started to get ready for the start of the ceremony and as the bridal party was getting ready to line up, my friend started to get jittery and started feeling nervous. I let Danielle know and she asked if a shot of liquor would help. Of course the bride said yes & Danielle talked to the bride and really hyped her up for the big moment while I got ready with the bridal party. As soon as my friend was ready, we started the ceremony & Danielle was there to help us pace the walk down to the grass. Aside from the ceremony going as smoothly as planned, the floral decor on the arch where my friend got married at were *chefs kiss*. Guys, if you've ever toured the venue (or seen it at rehearsals), it looks kinda plain, but with the florals... I'd hire that florist to do my wedding too! LOL! Anyways, after the ceremony and the photos for the bridal party and newlyweds, Danielle gathered us together behind the ballroom doors to get ready for the grand entrance. She told us we could all take a shot prior to going out, which of course the whole party jumped on that opportunity. (Don't have to tell us twice how to have a good time!) The couple paid for an open bar for us, so we were able to enjoy drinks and get ourselves hyped up for the grand entrance and reception. I didn't get to really walk around and look at the ballroom until after we entered in for the grand entrance and took our seats, and, again, kudos to whoever they hired for their florist and decorator because the florals used in the centerpieces and the way they arranged the room with the cake and the backdrop for the sweethearts table was so cute! The food was also really good! My friends at my table were going for seconds and thirds, especially with their tri tips and prime rib. I can't forget to mentioned the dance party. The DJ was so much fun and had a good selection of songs, which was a big deal for the newlyweds because they were concerned with finding a DJ that could get people on the dance floor; but this DJ made it seem so easy and everyone was on the dance floor for the entire night. Honestly, if I could give this place 10/5 stars, I would because my best friend and her husband had their dream wedding, and knowing how seamlessly and smooth everything went, how easy it all was for her, and seeing how beautiful everything turned out... This was such a great venue and I know I'd recommend Green River to anyone in search of a venue. The worst place to have your special day. I'm going to post pictures of the emails I sent to them regarding my wedding. It was so bad they refunded some of the money back!!! One of our guest fell down the stairs too. No handicap ramp and the stairs are very slippery rocks. We purchased Elite package for our wedding because of unlimited alcohol but we got charged. They don't tell you but shots of alcohol is not included in the package even though it doesn't say it. We even got charged for house liquor with coke. Nothing is in writing and the wedding planner sucks too. The 1st one quit on us in the beginning without saying anything and the replacement was horrible too. Very bad communication skills, nothing is explained to you. The worst wedding planner I ever met in my life.. and her name is Danielle. We paid for buffet but the food got taken away very quickly. Most our guests was still hungry at our wedding because they got little food thinking they could go back to the buffet for 2nd. The staff was eating our buffet food while our guests were eating. Even serving themselves at the buffet. The DJ was doing his own thing even though we gave him our playlist.. we even when over the playlist with him. Save yourself and have your wedding somewhere else!!! Response to Alex the customer service representative** I'm guessing you're new because I already spoke to couple of the managers at green river regarding all my issues. Had an absolutely fantastic experience with this venue. We toured and met with this venue first and Danielle was excellent in answering all our questions but encouraged us to look at other places since this was the first place. We took her advice and ended up coming back here and have no complaints or regrets. Danielle was wonderful and available throughout the whole process. My wedding was 2 days ago and omg was it perfect. I have nothing but good things to say about green River. I booked the venue a year and a half ago and have been in constant communication with them. Danielle was my coordinator and she is an absolute gem. You can tell when someone takes great pride in what they do and that's definitely her. When I first booked I was confused and didn't know where to start. They give you a bridal binder/guide to do list so I stayed there. Anytime I had any kind of question whether it was tiny or big all I have to do is send her an email and she replied very promptly never more than one day. But usually as short as an hour. Which we know is vital when making decisions and planning. The rehearsal the night before was so good. Danielle went the extra mile to make sure everyone was on point and knew what to do we did two run throughs she even waited for a member of ours that was late and we never felt rushed or left with questions. The day of was so smooth. Danielle and Fiona were there from the moment my vendors arrived at 9 am until my grand entrance at 3pm. Telling us everything every step of the way which is important if you are someone with anxiety about how weddings work because believe me I know absolutely zero but that didn't matter. They were on top of fixing my train, veil and bustle. If something went wrong she literally ran not walked to fix it. Absolutely recommend. The general manager was also very nice and accommodating. I had a small complaint and he worked with me until I was 100% satisfied. When you're spending thousands of dollars you want to go somewhere you are cared about and listened to and that is this place. The environment was clean and the ambience was warm and beautiful on our December wedding. The course is lush and green and tended to amazingly. Great views for outdoor photos. Servers were timely and attentive. I've been to weddings where they rush the guest to leave or start cleaning right from under you . None of that took place here. The in house dj did everything I wanted and needed. No hiccups. I even gave him free rein to play what he saw fit for dinner and it blended seamlessly with the rest of my playlist. I was lucky enough to be able to work with Fairview Green River for my recent wedding this month. Overall, they helped make the wedding planning process smooth and were very responsive. I have to admit I was scared to continue after our original contact person left her job there, since we had already been working so well together, but Sandra took over and everything went great! She made sure to address all of our concerns and helped us achieve our vision for our big day. Communication was very clear and she was always responsive. She was also mindful of our budget and worked with it well. At the rehearsal and day of the wedding, Sandra and Darian were both present and very attentive not only to making my vision come to life but also just making everything simple for me so I could enjoy the day. The one issue we had is that the day of the wedding, our officiant gave our marriage license to the coordinator, and it was temorarily misplaced. Luckily our officiant ran around and took care of it without me or my husband finding out, or else I would have freaked out haha. The venue itself is beautiful. I love that it is close enough off the freeway to not be a bad drive, but surrounded by trees and hills so that it is very picturesque and you won't actually be seeing the freeway or city buildings. There is a railroad that goes past the ceremony site, but the coordinators pay attention to train times and we didn't have any issues. Indoors, the room is very spacious and I love the decor with twinkle lights. The bartenders were awesome. One thing that was really important to me was cleanliness, having been to several weddings where I spotted roaches, and was pleased with how clean it was. We worked with Katie from Banquets and she was really easy to work with and made sure everything was taken care of. The wedding went really well, everything was set up when it was supposed to and the venue and decor looked amazing--they provided the cake, centerpieces, linens and chair covers--etc. The service was great and the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. We had the mexican buffet, the food was good but not great. For my son's first birthday party, everything again went without a hitch, we had the Italian buffet this time, which we recommend, the food was very good. To be fair, they have done the bare minimum to meet the packages we paid. But I have to be honest that we are not satisfied with the service. Our original coordinator quit about a month before the wedding and everything was handled over to other 2 people. We are fine with the basic communication on certain things but there are couple of important things that made us really upset. 1. I was not notified that guest arriving time is counted for the whole wedding time. (half an hour less with the reception time) I was told the minute before the ceremony and rushed to get out right on 6pm. The way they exit us was very rude and both family and friends felt offended. 2. The coordinator forgot to print our vows. Also when we ask to prepare the gifts under the chair as a surprise, it was falling all over, a bit chaos in the end. 3. After the ceremony I was told that the coordinator needed to leave early, so we ended up having no one help us with many issues, like internet connect for our remote family to be part of the wedding, tools for games were not handed to the DJ or guests. No one knows what to do after we cut the cake. 4. Whenever we had a general request, they always need to ask the manager ... even with an hour photo time, we were not being drove around like they told us before. But I still appreciate the weather we got that day, and I was being able to work with the DJ through out the reception and being the coordinator of my own wedding. I hope they can improve the service with their packages, hope they can do a better and detailed communication with the reception part more. read more

The wedding venue itself is beautiful. Was worried about the golfers getting in the way on the day of, but turned out to not be an issue at all. The vendors from the venue package: DJ Eddie is amazing and by far the best!! Very organized and listened to everything I wanted! Florist: Floral turned out beautiful and exactly as I had pictured. However, Hilary was very hard to get in touch with and to actually meet in person for our meeting. Experience could have been better. Cake: Great! Due to Covid, we weren't able to have a traditional sampling, but they still allowed us to pick up a box of samples for us to try! It turned out great! Food: We had the duet plated steak and salmon. Dinner was okay, not great, but not terrible. The appetizers were good! But I heard from multiple people that there were not enough appetizers to go around. Coordinator: By far the most important factor for this venue's poor review. I should have known from the first day we met this coordinator, but she did not seem well prepared, especially when compared to her supervisor. Often times when I had a question, she'd say she would have to ask her supervisor or someone else, and then she wouldn't follow up. Generally, she was hard to get in touch with, and I had to follow up on emails multiple times. A couple of times, her supervisor was the one coordinating things with me, as my coordinator was "taking a few days off" quite often. When I was working with the supervisor, I realized how much more smoothly things could be had she been my coordinator. On the day of the wedding, if it wasn't for my mom and aunt being on top of the coordinator about all of the details, much more would have gone wrong. For one, the photo booth attendant showed up at the wrong time because the coordinator did not inform her on what time to come. Overall, beautiful and affordable venue with a beautiful backdrop. However, I would steer away if you are planning your wedding yourself, because the coordinator caused a lot of unnecessary stress leading up to and on the day of the wedding. read more

Had my daughter's quinceanera here recently. Everything was beautiful and set up nicely except everyone kept coming in the wrong door, I had to go ask the coordinator if the sign was put up (it wasn't) the event started at 2pm and it had the main bar area so it was open to anyone until 2pm exactly which I was worried about because they were still letting outside people in at 2pm. DJ Eddie missed our zoom meeting without notifying us, then he was late to the rescheduled zoom meeting. He was great the day of the event and worked with us on schedule changes. Tasteful cakes is the vendor the venue uses. Any changes you want to add to their cake styles is extra. We chose strawberry moose and mocha moose. The cake is white with different fillings no chocolate cake options. The servers were very polite in the beginning, but when they started taking away the food they started being rude to our guests. While taking away chips they were trying to put on their plate then just grabbed the bowl and walked away with it not saying anything to guests. During the cake cutting they asked if we wanted to cut the cake, I paid to have them cut and serve cake and yet they were trying to have me do it. They ran out of plates for the cake and just stepped away not saying anything to anyone. Our guests were confused. At exactly 7pm when the event ended they turned off half the lights and started taking everything off the tables. I was told I have 1 hr after event to gather my belongings and leave. I placed my shoes and phone down on a table to take a quick selfie and the server started pulling the table cloth with my items on it and said very rudely " who's shoes and phone is this?" I said "mine!" And my sister grabbed them for me. Before the event we had met with the assistant coordinator (in person)to discuss the arrangements and she was very unprepared. She didn't have all the answers to my questions and said she would get back to me, but never did. I had to callback when the main coordinator Danielle was there. They charge you for a security guard because it's a golf course, I only saw him in the beginning for about an hour then never again. I was excited to find this place because I'm also engaged so this event was a trial, but we will not be using this venue and do not recommend. I emailed Danielle (coordinator) after to express my frustration to which she replied "sorry that's not how we train our staff". That's it, after spending thousands of dollars on their "service" no % refund. This location is also the worst traffic area. There was an accident the day of the event so almost everyone was about 45mins late. We had the event for only 5hrs so this was upsetting. read more

The food was pretty good and the centerpieces from Ivy& Co. were gorgeous! Overall the ceremony and reception looked great too. Here's why I would not recommend: I had communicated with Fiona (our coordinator) regarding setting up florals around the arch during the ceremony about a month prior to the wedding. During our conversation, I mentioned that we would be utilizing artificial flower arrangements for our arch and welcome sign decorations, and wanted to make sure that the staff could set it up since that is typically done by a florist. I said the following: "Also for the ceremony flowers, we will have the flower girl throw real petals. But for our decorations, we have these artificial flower sets (not including the petals/flowers/candles on the floor). There aren't any loose petals that will fly away. Would we have to set them up or could that be done by the staff?" I added pictures of the artificial arrangements that we had, and very clearly added that I was not talking about any of the decorations that were on the floor in the pictures. She responded: "We can set up the artificial flower arrangements." When it came time to the wedding day, she called me a few hours before the event saying that they would not be setting up our floral arrangements and that she looked back on our messages and that there must have been a "miscommunication" because she thought I was talking about the decorations on the floor, implying that the miscommunication was on my end even though I clearly stated that I was not talking about the stuff on the floor in the pictures. She also said that they didn't have the materials needed to set up the arrangements, even though I insisted everything they needed was in the box. Like I said, this was just few hours before the ceremony was supposed to start. Obviously this is a stressful time for the bride and there was nothing that I could have done at this point. But thankfully, I had my own private coordinator who was willing to take on more duties and set it up for me. She said that it took her 5 minutes to do and that everything she needed to set it up was in the box and didn't understand why the staff made it such a big issue that they couldn't do. Additionally, I gave the staff my coordinator's contact information so I don't know why they called me and added more stress to my day just a few hours before my ceremony. read more

I want to start by saying that this venue was great my my sister and bother in laws wedding was so nice it is connected to a huge golf course with lots of green grass and trees , mountains and even a river !! The Reception area was also very nice lots of room and a nice dance floor as well !! The staff here was so kind helpful and attentive to all our needs they worked very hard to make this wedding go smoothly and look great Thank you all for making this day possible !! I cannot say enough about Katie and Sandra. From day one, they became my go to for EVERYTHING! I called/emailed them at least 4 times a week in the year leading up to the wedding, and every time they answered my call or email they were so patient and kind. We were very fortunate and had a train pass by during the processional and recessional, avoiding any kind of disturbance during the ceremony. Briana was our coordinator and she was incredible. She does her job well and knows what she's doing. She had no problem wrangling up a rowdy young adult bridal party of 15 and keeping track of them all. I was SO PICKY when t came to our decor and what went where, and I even came early in my robe to help set up. Briana and the team let me do my thing and didn't once tell me not to get in the way. I was so thankful that they just let me be crazy and set stuff up myself! We purchased the DJ package through the venue, and we were SO happy with our DJ Jesse. He was on top of it schedule wise and made the evening flow so nicely.
