    King room

I stayed at this location last week while in town for work. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were all very helpful. The included breakfast was top notch, as far as hotel breakfasts go, which a large and varied selection of options. The room was relatively large; some king rooms are all bed. The closet was tiny - about the width of two ironing boards and the depth of a shoes. There wasn't a refrigerator or microwave, but there was a coffee maker. My only real complaint about the room was the dim lighting. There was an entry way light and a sconce on either side of the bed, but even with all three on it was a struggle to see well enough to iron clothing effectively, etc. I was surprised to see a ring light bolted to the work station, and thought that was a nice touch for anyone who may be working from the room. The area does get a bit noisy at night, with lots of foot traffic and sirens. Overall it was a good stay.

A great location and facility to stay. Just few minutes walk from a Metro station to access all parts of DC, valet parking with unlimited in and out, complimentary breakfast, well maintained hotel. Overall we had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. Our rooms were clean, everything worked well. The breakfast was good. We got to enjoy full Chinatown experience, walked to CityCenter and Ford Theater from the hotel. We took Metro from Gallery Pl (next to hotel) to Arlington and was able see visit National mall area without taking our car. Capital One arena is also next to the hotel where Washington's hockey and basketball teams play. Beside all the advantages, this area does have some scratchy people constantly hanging out around and near the hotel, as well as the Metro station.

Nice hotel located inside Chinatown. convenient to get to metro. Lots food around. Room is clean. Feel a little damp when I first enter and after putting on heat it's all good. Staff is really friendly. We got an inspiration speech from a breakfast morning crew (I think it's so nice and funny). He literally stood in the middle of the dining hall and made sure each one of us had what we need. Breakfast on weekend is really crazy. The dining hall is pretty small. Most ppl are willing to share tables. Everyone-fend-for-yourself kind situation

This hotel is a great location. It's close to the arena, the museums and other points of interests. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Will stay here again for my next sports event.

Erica, the Front Desk Associate made my two days back in DC & overnight accommodations a good one. Her & the other staff's engaging hospitality made us feel welcomed. Each time I came & went I seemed to run into Erica, who would take the moment to see if I needed anything. If no other guests were around, she'd come around from the front desk & we would chat it up as if we were old friends. A newly renovated hotel with clean rooms, plush bedding, modern furniture & workstations. Room service is available from the on-site restaurant - Irish Channel Restaurant & Pub. Complimentary Continental/Buffet Breakfast & coffee/tea on a daily basis. Amenities: +Mini Fridge +24/7 Fitness Center +Pets are welcomed with an additional fee +Valet parking (secured garage) at $52 +Taxis are available from the front desk Unlimited restaurants from fast casual to fine dining, retail shopping, entertainment & sightseeing options in close proximity. The Gallery/Chinatown Metro Station is a couple blocks away with people from all walks of life out & about, so keep your head on the swivel. Great stay overall, especially from the guest experience perspective.

An OK place to stay in Chinatown DC. Friendly service and free breakfast! The hotel is located in chinatown conveniently next to a bunch of Chinese restaurants. But in the evening, I did not feel safe walking around in the area, so I made sure I ate before dark! The rooms are the typical Marriott layout and bedding. The only thing I wish was if the AC was less noisier. It is a window unit that would cycle on and off throughout the night. Could not set it so that the fan runs continuously, so it took getting used to. But all in all, with the conference rate of $189, it was okay...

Very old building and rooms for a Marriott brand. Bad smell. Not even a 3 star. People laying on the streets outside. Rough part of town. No thank you.

All the great things for a 2 day quick stop for Madonna's concert. This hotel is located in my old neiborhood and is familiar to me because I used to live in China Town so needless to say I was extremely happy. location is AMAZING only a block away from Chinatown metro station and half block from Capital One Arena. You can get From Regan 30 minutes max or Dulles airport 45 min max for only 2 dollars so don't gotgrt to get ur physical or digital metro card, 8 dollars for day pass and ride the metro as much as u want or just 2 dollars each ride if u want. This hotel has the advantage to have restaurants from around the world just a few steps away. The front desk was nice and helpful at check in was fast and early not sure is because I am a Titanium Members The room was clean, comfortable beds and awesome shower. Breakfast in the morning is great with fresh waffles and cheese omelet and all the goodies that comes with it. is important to mention is an Irish Pub attach to the hotel and is delicious for late dinner my

This is a great place to stay. They are located in Chinatown, which gives you close access to many restaurants. If you are a good walker, you are walking distance to all the museums. It's two stops on the Metro, to the train station. It's a short walk from the Metro to the hotel They give you a fantastic complimentary breakfast every day. They also have coffee, hot chocolate and tea available all day. Great customer service, the staff can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable.

The room was spotless, the turndown service was a nice flex, and everything felt polished. The location is clutch--walkable to fun spots and everywhere we needed to be for work. The key-card elevators are sleek, high-tech, and super secure. The restaurant and bar had great energy, and the food hit, but $24 for a drink is unhinged. Overall, a stylish, safe, and seriously fun stay. More details from my review on Google: Rooms: The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The turndown service was a lovely touch, and everything in the room was perfect throughout my stay. Safety: The hotel elevators felt extremely secure and high-tech. Guests must use a key card to access certain levels and floors, which added an extra layer of safety and peace of mind. It's a great security feature and made me feel very comfortable during our stay. Walkability: The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of plenty of things to do, as well as the locations I needed to access for work. The location made my stay easy and convenient. Food & drinks: The hotel restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere, and the food was good, but everything felt extremely overpriced. Charging $24 for one drink is absurd. I enjoyed the experience overall, but the prices make it difficult to recommend. Noteworthy details: From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a regular. The staff made me feel genuinely welcome and at home-never like an outsider in an exclusive club. Their warm, down-to-earth hospitality made the experience truly special.

Too bad stored blankets were unavailable for sleepers wanting more warmth than their traveling companions. We had to make a second request for one. May I also suggest providing more than one bar of mini soap bars. It's such a minuscule cost item but would obviate having to repeatedly move the precious one bar from sink to shower. We found the valet staff particularly helpful especially when navigating awkward arrivals and parking needs of our personal guests. Sean was a prince. He supervised an otherwise complicated set of logistics with competence and gentlemanly grace. Another shout out to the manager ( sou?) of the breakfast dining. We watched him rigorously oversee staff and guests while occasionally stepping in when helpful. His leadership is likely responsible for the professionalism of said staff. This is in direct contrast to the staff of the Willard across the street where we took the first breakfast of our stay. We were dismayed to have to endure extremely loud staff socializing, boisterous laughter and downright flirting. This type of behavior would have been unacceptable at the JWMarriott. This experience alone confirms our future choice of Marriott over Willard for annual DC visits.

The Top of the Hay itself is stunning. The views and setting are exactly what you would expect from such an iconic DC property, and getting to experience a space that is typically reserved for private events made the evening feel particularly special. The drinks were also excellent. Sweet, but not overly sweet. But what really stood out was the staff. I do not say this lightly. The service was outstanding. I genuinely wish I had caught everyone's names because anyone working between roughly 4:30 and 7:30 that evening in the lobby, Off the Record, or Top of the Hay deserves recognition and a raise! For the rates they charge, the conditions and service are unacceptable. The building is old, heavily dated, and features cheap fixings. The bathroom is tiny, featuring a cramped round sink with virtually zero counter space to set down any personal items. Furthermore, for a five-star hotel, lacking a proper hot tub and standalone shower is unacceptable. The towels provided are cheap, rough, and feel entirely out of place at this price point. The bathroom ventilation is so old and loud, that I can't even believe it's there. No fridge in the room, only a mini bar that will charge you if you move around mini bar items to place your own drinks. The view of the White House was severely misadvertised. To actually see it, you are required to pay an extra $700 on top of an already steep $600-per-night room rate. The acoustic insulation is non-existent. If anyone is staying in the room above you, forget about sleeping--every single footstep and movement carries straight through. The front desk staff was entirely dismissive. After promising to switch our room to resolve our issues, they dragged us through three separate attempts, wasted hours of our time with non-responsive answers, and then finally demanded we pay even more money to fix their mistake. After we went through, not even a complimentary breakfast or really anything. Shocked that this place is more expensive than Four Seasons, St. Regents, and the kind.
