They served those drinks and kept my guests with a cup in their hand all night!! What I loved most was the free will to decorate the blank palette any way I liked. It was an amazing experience transforming this venue into the Yellowstone Barbie Ranch for my Muthaf'n Buuurday!! The owner Chelsea is an absolute delight to work with. I mean who can so no once she starts batting those hypnotic eyes, then brings in her husband with the fun Cancer personality so it's hard to say no to putting down a deposit! Lol. Ok ok take my whole wallet dang! Lol. The whole process was seamless, they even went above & beyond to make sure I can fit in my mechanical bull. This was the real deciding factor! There was no way I can have a Yellowstone party without a bull. Lol. Forgive me I'm extra & I want what I want* evil grin*. The staff was super detail oriented and fun to work with for the theme. Best venue experience I've ever had!! I have done over 100 events in my business the past 5 years. Drew and his wife Chelsea are awesome people. They were fun, personable and helped with things beyond what they should do. The venue shows well but looks even better and more bright in person. Very spacious. I live in Dallas so I never had a chance to view it before booking. They sent a video showcase and I was even more satisfied when I got there. I will definitely use this venue for all of my future D.C. Events. Awesome location to with tons restaurants next door and down the street. read more

I booked the space to host our Senior Prom and the space was amazing! Super dope lighting, sound system was amazing great spot to host a prom or any event. The staff was great very responsive and accommodating even provided a mock bar with non-alcoholic beverages for our students. Wow, what a beautiful space! I booked a photoshoot with a popular photographer in DC and the studio space was awesome. Very, very clean& well lit. I'm so impressed I'm actually thinking about hosting an event here as the other pictures look so well with the decorations and stuff. Right next to the Ulta and Planet Fitness. Depending on the time, you may be able to find street parking right outside of the studio or along the strip like towards the gym. read more

Studio52 in Ivy City was the perfect venue for our intimate corporate dinner for 60 people. I was drawn to the raw, industrial feel of the space juxtaposed with the stunning accent wall featuring Pennsylvania reclaimed barnwood. We used the lower level for registration/coat check, cocktails and passed hors d'ouevres. Guests then walked up the ramp to the upper level which was set with three long tables, seating 20 people at each table for dinner. The built-in photo booth was an unexpected, fun addition to the space, and at no extra charge, who can argue with that? If you plan to host an evening event, I would definitely recommend adding amber uplighting to warm the space. I had a great experience working with Chelsea and Drew throughout the planning process. They were quick to respond, flexible, professional, and most importantly, fun! It was a joy to work with them, and I look forward to returning. read more

I threw a holiday party here last Friday night, and everything was fantastic!! It's a beautiful space that you can turn into anything you'd like. Chelsea was very easy to deal with and accommodating. They provide an on-site coordinator day-of as well as security, and both of our guys -- Eric and Antonio -- were awesome and incredibly helpful! There is a photo booth included in every rental, which at first I thought was a very nice feature but it didn't really move me either way, but my guests were there ALL NIGHT LONG. So what do I know, right? Another bonus is a parking garage practically next door that has to be the best deal in DC! I highly recommend, and for a different party I would definitely come back here. My husband and I held our elopement party/casual wedding reception here and we could not have been happier. The owners, Drew and Chelsea, went out of their way to deliver stellar customer service and were incredibly flexible and responsive to us. They allowed us to get food truck catering (and helped secure parking) and bartending services where we could purchase our own alcohol, which saved us a ton of money. Plus the space is just beautiful - it has an open, industrial feel with a wall made from 100+ year-old reclaimed farmhouse wood. There is a digital photo booth built in that our guests adored and a garage door that can open up, creating a very cool vibe. The owners, Chelsea and Drew, were gracious and resourceful and helped me find vendors to help bring my dream into a reality for my daughter's Club16 birthday party. We transformed the venue into a teen night club and everyone said it was beautiful and so much fun. I lucked up on this venue because of the photographer that owns the space--Drew Xeron. I needed a space for a cocktail party, as well as some professional pictures, & was glad to be able to use the same person for it! This simplified everything for us. The space is a hidden jewel in NW DC. Large windows, hard wood floors, & great open space is just what we needed with exposed brick walls. This loft was absolutely perfect for the contemporary look we were going for! There was space for a bar set up near the kitchen, as well as room for a food table. We had 6 bar top tables & it worked perfectly. If you're looking for a chic space to through a nice event, this is definitely it! It's rare I give a 5 star rating. As an event planner I've worked with multiple venues in the city. Most are good. But Studio 52 has the wow factor!! Mainly due to the owners who are flexible yet professional. They were very responsive to all of my emails. The on-site rep for them was just as awesome! I threw my fiancé a huge Surprise 30th bday party at Studio 52 and everything was perfect! This is def one of DC's newest and hottest venues! I heard back from Chelsea less than an hour after my yelp inquiry. We then scheduled a consultation that upcoming Saturday and once I saw the venue I fell in love. Chelsea promptly got a contract out to me the next day! Her and her husband really were invested in making sure my event was a success throughout the whole process! They even helped with the surprise story. The day of the event they provided me a personal event coordinator and security guard to ensure everything ran smoothly. The space is unique, modern, cool, and fun! Warehouse meets chic! There is a free parking garage next to it which is super convenient for your guest, there are two bathrooms inside, there is kitchen space and a back room kitchen for caterers! Now to the coolest parts there are LED lighted windows that change colors and BUILT IN PHOTO BOOTH!!! Which my guest absolutely loved! You can also have a hashtag put on the photo booth pics that guest can email or text themselves! Chelsea also will send you a Zip drive of all the photo booth pics after the event . 150 people fit more than comfortably with room to spare even with a DJ, Bar and Bartender and Catered Food Tables. I also rented two ottomans and two small tables and 4 cocktail tables. Everything fit and looked great! All of our guest the whole night kept saying what an amazing venue it was and how much the look and feel and of course the photo booth! We're still getting phone calls days later. read more

We loved the open layout and urban feel of the venue and felt that it would best fulfill the vision for our party. I searched 3 to 4 months to find a unique event space that would compliment my creative style and personality for my BIG Milestone Birthday on 1/14/2017. The venue wasn't even completed yet when I found the space, but I knew instantly that Studio 52 was THE place to lock in for my special day, and after meeting with Drew and Chelsea. They were the absolute BEST to work with from A to Z. They were open to my ideas and accommodated me to the fullest leading up to my special day. After the space was completed, all I could say was WOW and WHOA! It was and is spectacular and exceeded my expectation. As a Real Estate Broker, my venue search was for something totally unique and different and Studio 52 was that vision I had in my head. My mom and two best friends APPROVED of the event space immediately as THE place to have my birthday party and indeed it was. This past Saturday, my guests were in awe of its unique, cozy, sexy industrial vibe, and it was definitely a part of the conversation that night.
