    Happy Birthday wishes

I reserved a room on line but the only room available was a double queen room. It was my birthday weekend w/ my hubby and I asked, in the comment area of the reservation, if there was a possibility to get a room w/ a king bed. When we showed up they had a little birthday bag w/ snacks and a card signed by the staff AND a king room! The staff was friendly, efficient and the hotel was spotless. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and the selection was great for all eaters. The shuttle runs to the casino from 4:00pm to 2:00am so no driving if you decide to have some of the free cocktails! If you're going to Mohegan for a concert, stay off site with this partner hotel! I highly recommend this hotel.

clean room, amazing selection for breakfast, easy mobile check in and out. room was on second floor could smell the pool a bit in hallway but didn't mind it

Super nice hotel just a five minute shuttle ride from the casino. Great free breakfast with tons of hot and cold options. Coffee was pretty decent and hot, hot, hot! Free copies of the USA Today available too. Nice sitting area for your brecky breck. All rooms are furnished with a sitting area and love seat, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Good size tvs too. Paul Mitchell bath products were a very nice surprise. Beds are so subjective, as are pillows, but I wasn't done wrong by either. 2 elevators in house and ice machines at the far end of each floor. They also have an indoor pool and fitness center which I didn't use. Supposedly they have free printing available in a business center as well. WiFi was super strong...a must for me these days. Most parking is on one side of the building, the side opposite the drive thru. Get a high number floor or a room like 101 or 201 because there is definitely road noise from a nearby thoroughfare. The oh ones are opposite the main thoroughfare and will be much quieter for you. Mike at the front desk was simply awesome and was super accommodating when I asked if the walk in rate was lower than what I had booked two moths prior; gave me the lower, walk in rate since it was indeed lower. Bonus!!! Saved me 36 bucks...more loot for the one armed bandits nearby that always seem to rob me. Shuttle is free and runs to midnight during the week and 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. They have lots of staff and seem to care about doing a great job to get repeat business. Smart, as I will most certainly be staying here again when visiting the area. My only gripe is check in isn't official until 4 pm, but these folk seem accommodating so if you arrive early and they can get you to your room, I'm sure they will. Looking forward to my next trip to Mohegan Sun and this hotel!

If you're looking to go to the casino and save some bucks to spend on dinners or the slots, stay here!! Honestly it was a perfectly good room, if you're only going to be there for sleeping for a few hours, and a convenient 5 minutes (or less) drive down the street to the Mohegan Winter Garage. I think it was about $125/night, but that was booked last minute so if you plan ahead it's probably cheaper.

Handicap shower with a foldable chair hidden behind the shower curtain with 2 shower heads.

Monday night stay in April 2026…read more I've been to other motels in area for about same rate and at this rate it out performed the others with obviously 2 to 3.5 stars. The entrance is really easy to miss as the traffic is moving so fast and the Hyatt sign is so small, low, and not lit very well. The entry looks like a service entry to some back area.. and it is way in the back so you will not see the building until you are well down their road after you turn in. Parking not so bad although I can see on a busy weekend it could be a challenge to find a spot near the front. Elevator is past right desk to right, whereas dining is to left. There is a gym open 24 hours (didn't go to it) The indoor pool I believe is open until 10PM (didn't go to it) 5 Minutes straight down the road to the Mohegan Sun (nearest to Winter Parking) Room with king was clean and in good condition. Everything worked. Bathroom door was wide and ADA compliant. In our King room we had a couch, work table, king bed, mini fridge, one LCD large flat screen TV, and all the other typical stuff in a room. The breakfast in morning included hot service: Canadian bacon (slightly salty but great) Has brown cubes Scrambled egges French toast (without the vanilla extract) Also - hard boiled eggs, totilla wraps, berries in sauce, yogurt, various breads, bannanas, OJ/Apple Juice/and Cranberry? The food attendant was right on stocking the food. Bus your own trays and silverware to bins to left of room. Food seating - the lobby area, the main area near food, and a sunny veranda. Hours for breakfast (included complimentary with lodging) 7AM - 10AM Check out is at 11AM Check in is at 4PM but you can request earlier time Lobby had a slight funky odor, but not incredibly bad although it could use some air freshener There is a snack and beverage display to right to bac near front counter. Price is a bit high e.g. med chips ~ $5.50. There is a CVS right down the street, pick up your snacks a beverage there instead. There are no steps into building so it is all ADA compliant. No smoking unit - great! I do not believe it accepts pets either. Not sure. Some movie channels could not connect because of signal issues. The menu on the TV is a big pain as you cannot scroll the menu, just let it run through. If you hit the channel up or down button it only effects the channels not the menu. There is no menu button. HVAC works fine. Typical noise but at least you don't hear clanking blades or noise like a airplane when it's running. Sink is out side bathroom which has shower (rain style not forceful spray), and toilet. Towels are placed in shower stall, high up and opposite shower head. Two night stands (one has a useless clock with no instructions), so use your cell phone for an alarm. The other night stand has a USB connector box. Both sides of bed had sconces. I would stay again if it was same great price (under $100 plus tax; weekend is probably higher). Well worth it at this rate! Not perfect, but the other stuff and small inconveniences was worth living with for what you get at this price point so close to the casino. Enjoy your vacation or trip!

The space is stocked with everything you might need from a lantern and flashlights to tea and granola bars. They even had two chocolate bars for s'mores! How thoughtful is that!! There is a short walk from where you park to the location of the tree house (and the other units as well). Bert was AMAZING to help us with our cooler and luggage. Next time (and there will be many!) we'll pack lighter as we brought a lot of what they already had. Really just a change of clothes and some toothpaste is all you need here! The outdoor shower, located under the main house, is lovely and well lit. We showered in the evening before bed and felt very safe and comfortable. This is also where the sink is to wash dishes, etc. There's a gas grill as well as a Coleman stove in addition to a fire pit! The tiki torches around the fire pit area are a nice touch. The composting toilet is in a separate room inside the tree house with a door for privacy. The directions are clearly marked and once you get used to it, it's a breeze to use. The space itself was nicely appointed and decorated tastefully and sparingly. One of the days we were there it rained, and we spent the day relaxing, chatting, napping, snacking all dry and cozy in this little slice of contemplative heaven. Highly recommend if you just need to get off the grid for a few days, although there is electricity and fair cell service so you can still Wordle if you must. We're headed back next month, and the month after that,, and the month after that to try out the tiny house and the Octagon house by the brook. A full five stars for Bert & Nancy's Water Forest Retreat!!

We also did the afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely and a good value. Our hotel room was clean, comfy, modern, and spacious. The spa facilities were also extremely clean and well kept, with the ladies locker room stocked with everything you could ever need. Every staff person we dealt with from the hotel to the restaurants to the spa was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the hot tub/sauna/steam room area.. yes, it was crowded a few times but I noticed that crowds in both the pool and hot tub areas tended to clear quickly and several times I had both to myself! I especially appreciated the thoughtful little touches everywhere, like cold washcloths available for post-sauna cooldowns and fresh flowers all over the place. The vibe was extremely relaxed and I appreciated that when staying in the hotel you get full use of the spa facilities even on check-out day. We had breakfast and lunch at Kensington's and also had the afternoon tea. Everything was delicious!! Good cocktails too. I wished the indoor pool had been larger to better accommodate busy times, and the spa treatments are definitely on the pricey side, but those are about the only two criticisms I can come up with about this place! We are hoping to make it an annual tradition!

We finally came back today to use my gift cards and sadly, our whole spa experience wasn't the 5 star of yesteryear... Firstly, this is what went right: Yes, it's still very pretty and the staff are terrific as always. The spa itself is just lovely New England charm. We were greeted well and given our itinerary. We went to our respective locker rooms for comfy robes and slippers. I had a nice swim before our massages. We both loved our massage therapists, mine was Kisbel, hubby's was Alexis. All good there! Secondly, what went wrong? We were saddened to see that the fun activities that were always included are either MIA entirely like the wine tasting, or are being up-charged tremendously like the formerly complimentary tea and scones! Really?! Bummer!! Also, when I booked online, I saw that my go-to all-inclusive personal day package is no longer offered. No decent pick two services like a massage & pedicure with included lunch plus fitness class to round out your spa day. After our massages, we chilled out in the relaxation room, no reading materials provided anymore, but they still do have loungers and comfy blankets. As there was nothing else of interest included to do anymore, we made a reservation for dinner out with plenty of time after we check out. Not a bad experience up to this point, just slightly disappointing to be wanting to leave so much earlier than in the past. Now here's where things went terribly awry---the operator of the check out process "Anashelly" could NOT process my gift cards! It was $300 in gift cards, leaving a balance of $97.30, a hefty total of $397.30 for only two 50 minute massages. Finally she phoned a higher up and explained the system wasn't working correctly. MUCH time passed and the line is now out the door behind me! Worse than that, we will miss our special dinner and I'm also so embarrassed! Finally I say we are leaving and we can handle it later over the phone. I paid $397.30 and I left a ball of stress after looking forward to this for over a year. I have come here with friends & family for almost 27 years now, but I will decidedly NOT BE RETURNING. PS Adding insult to injury, they also stopped sending me my usual birthday coupon years ago. Having to report all this?? Spa at Norwich Inn you break my spa loving heart!
