There were so many businesses present at this event, and it was crowded with long lines but our favorite smell was in the air...COFFEE! We were looking for some really good coffee to purchase and after sampling their Peruvian Medium Roast. Darrell & Sandy Vasquez brew their coffee in house in small 6 pound batches to maintain absolute freshness and this was evident in the flavorful sample we tried today...SOLD! My Husband Tony was particularly impressed by how he felt after tasting just a small sample, "more energetic, perked up but not edgy" which is just what we need from our brew of choice during these particularly cold mornings. The service was absolutely wonderful (thank you, Stacy!), and the food was outstanding. All scratch made, from the grits to the sourdough toast to the biscuit to the mixed berry compote. I got eggs, hash browns, bacon and sourdough toast...my wife got the oatmeal, creamy grits that could could have come out of her grandmother's kitchen in Georgia, and we shared a biscuit for "dessert" that was simply perfect. Busy but not hectic, small but not cramped....just a lovely, lovely breakfast. We will return to this gem often!
