That is in comparison to the local Honda Dealer's price of $200 for the same service. And they were so nice! Moved another car off the rack so we wouldn't have to wait so long. I brought in my 2001 civic with a cracked head gasket about 6 months ago, they were friendly, efficient and the price was very reasonable. They had my car back to me in a little over a day, and my car has been running so great every since. Found Factory Specific on Yelp. Best rating on Yelp and I agree. Took my Acura TL for some maintenance (belt replacements). Khoi called and told me I had a couple leaks (oil and power steering, which I knew of). He suggested for the oil leak to get taken cared of to save on labor. I really appreciate this because if he did not call me to let me know where the leak is, I would have spent a lot more money than was necessary. When I went to pick up my car, Andy was nice enough to explain why it was more cost effective and efficient to get the oil leak fixed. He walked me through some diagrams. He was very helpful. I have a Lexus GS400 that had a problem that I'd been trying to get fixed for over 3 weeks. I was just wasting time and $$. Andy was the mechanic working on my car. He was knowledgeable and professional. I could see he spent considerable time researching and troubleshooting the problem. He took the time to explain the possible causes and solutions. I only had to bring my car there twice. The first time for the troubleshooting and the second time for the repair. My car is fixed and running great. As long as they have a shop and I live within 50 miles they will get my business. Not only did they replace my radiator for about 30% less than anyone else, they managed to get it out ahead of schedule to meet my tight deadline. If you own a foreign car you owe it to yourself to try them. They work on my Toyota's (2), Honda (1) and Nissan (1). I came to FactorySpecific about a year and a half ago for an oil change after having all my service done by Honda in San Bruno. At the time, my SRS light was on and Khoi told me to take it to a dealership to have the driver side belt buckle replaced since it was a safety issue. When I finally took my CR-V to a dealership to have the SRS light fixed, they said it was my belt buckle, just as Khoi said. The dealership replaced it, but it didn't fix the problem. The dealership said I needed to replace the SRS sensors and control unit. So I took it back to FactorySpecific to have them look at it. Turns out the technician at the dealership installed my belt buckle improperly and were trying to get me to pay more money to replace something that wasn't even in need of repair!! Andy ended up re-installing my belt buckle and fixing the problem. I'm thankful for Khoi and Andy at FactorySpecific and for the staff's honesty. And their prices for repairs/service is nice on the budget. It's hard to find a shop that is honest, efficient, and budget friendly... But FactorySpecific has it all! read more

I have taken 2 of my cars ( 2004 Honda, 2004 Toyota) to Factory Specific for repairs for several years. It is a smaller shop but all the people are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and respectful. The repair quotes are reasonable; much lower than the dealers.For example-I was able to save $654-as Toyota wanted $700 for the same repair. (true story) If the cost actually comes in lower than the estimate, they often will not charge you as much ( and save you money). They also may show you the part that was replaced and explain why! I bring my Honda Civic (also with over 200,000 miles) and they take good care of it too, and warn me of potential problems. They get a lot of business-if you can, call and plan ahead for 2-3 weeks. If you need a timing belt and water pump change, this is the place.They repair many cars...if you call and ask them they are straight up and can tell you if the work on your car can be done there, or refer you. They will try to do right by you. 5 stars. read more

Yesterday was the first time I took my car to Factory Specific. I took it there solely based on yelp reviews. The reviews were right!!! I got my ac pannel replaced, they installed a new battery (that I bought elsewhere) and they checked my check engine light. I made an appointment and was out of there in 1 hour. Not sure if they always require you to make an appointment but if they do I love it. I don't have to leave my car overnight and rely on someone to pick me up and take me back because I know when they will be working on my car and how long it will take and I can wait there for my car to be done. They are also very reasonable with their fees. They don't up charge you on work which is why I left my previous mechanic place (CME in Vacaville). They were honest with the time they took to fix something and charged accordingly not just went by their "pricing book" which is not accurate.
