Red flag! They are professional liars--that's why they closed. We bought an adjustable bed from the Cedar Park branch, which broke within a few months. We tried to contact the salesman named Andy, who deliberately gave us false information to make our manufacturer warranty expire. We also purchased an additional warranty for $200, but he never ordered the replacement parts, even after six months. In October, the Cedar Park branch permanently closed, and our case was transferred to another salesperson named Mike at the Gateway location, who simply hung up on us. Walked in expecting to shop, and walked out with the receipt for a purchased mattress. Kudos to Heidi, the lady who helped us. She expertly guided us to mattresses with the right general level of firmness and gave us several options as to style and price. Excellent help in finding the correct mattress without pressuring us over the sale. Also appreciated the fact that this is a locally owned business which stands by their product. I need to start off by explaining that as we walked into the store, I told my husband that "You do know that I hate mattress shopping as much as I hate car shopping", and guess what!!? Marc D. Completely proved me wrong-we had the BEST experience buying ever and honestly he explained that he was had only been working there for a month which was a complete surprise, as this guy really knows his stuff..we were trying to get a rental unit ready and ended up purchasing 4 twin mattresses and a queen, and honestly he was not only incredibly knowledgeable, personable but while he was obviously hoping to make a sale, he did not feel pushy at all -he even managed to add humor to the whole transaction throughout-that being said, I should add that I am in sales, and HATE the whole selling process usually as a result but found great humor and fun in his delivery without taking away from his subject knowledge-its clear he is a passionate employee, and believes in his product/this family owned business. We've purchased several mattresses over the years at other retailers. This was our first time in a Factory Mattress and our experience here with James was awesome! He was with another customer when we arrived, but still warmly greeted us. This allowed us time to browse through the selection available in the store. When he finished with the other customers, he recommended we lay on a bed that would help determine our needs (soft, firm, etc...). What I really liked about James, is that he made us feel like he was there to guide us to options that may be best for us. I purchased a mattress set at Factory Mattress about 9 months ago at the Lakeline store. The service was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. The salesperson took the time with me to insure the mattress he sold me was just right for my needs. I love it! I sleep so much better. There was no pressure to buy at all - just kindness and professionalism. I recommended it to all my friends. When the time comes to buy another mattress set it will be the only place I go. Recently I went back to the store and asked how I could get a hold of the owners. I knew they did charity work and there was someone who really needed help. The manager gave me the contact information I needed. I began communicating with Mark Nelson who is the COO. I explained to him that my friends and I are involved in faith based ministries. A woman had arrived from Greece with only two suitcases and desperately needing household items number 1 being a bed. Mr. Nelson gave me an unbelievable deal on a mattress set. He went out of his way to be sure the warehouse took care of us immediately. She had a new bed in a day! She is so very grateful. Every night is a good night's sleep now. If I could give no stars I would. My initial experience with this store and sales person, Richard Hooper was great. I decided to take one of the pillows I bought back (I never used it nor would I) for a refund and to notify them I was charged $39 from them and Snap Finance. Richard told me he would send an email to accounting and manager for refund since they can not give refund at store. No problem. A couple of days go by and no phone call to follow up with me. I call and spoke with Heidi and Heidi says she sees the email but she is with a customer and will call me back. Two and a half hours later no phone call so I have to stop by the store (not one customer in store). Heidi states she got busy as to why I didn't get a phone call back. She said the request for refund is being processed and it should take 3-5 days to show up in my account. I told her this was the first time I have shopped at Factory Mattress and it will be my last. She didn't act like she cared. On July 17 I call the store again and speak with Andre and he told me the request for refund was processed on July 14 (Heidi lied). I asked him for how much and it was just the pillow. I told him how I was charged the $39 twice and he said there isn't a record of this charge. They show one charge. I told him I came in and physically showed Richard Hooper. I told Andre I need a manager to call me back. He told me he would notify Jorge to call me. A couple of hours later Andre called me to notify me that Andre will call me. I call the store at just about 8pm and spoke with Andre and he told me he sees the email about the $39. He of course gives me excuse upon excuse why the manager didn't call me back. Obviously they don't care about having returning customers. There are plenty of mattress stores out there now where maybe they should care about the service a customer gets from them. Word of mouth is the worst advertisement. I will never do business with this company. The manager doesn't even care about how customers feel about their experience. read more

Factory Mattress Cedar Park is a stand up company!! Recently, I met with Heidi & explained to her that I recently had intense back pain develop. She took a look at my account & saw that I had purchased a mattress that was a very soft mattress. I was 6 months out of the exchange program. She reached out to her manager to see what they could do. They were gracious to allow me to upgrade my mattress to a more fitting mattress. She also informed me that I could save on tax by getting a prescription submitted by my doctor which was a nice surprise. The mattress was delivered & swapped the next day. I bought a mattress here a few months ago. Since buying I've felt like the princess in the fairy tale "the princess and the pea". I've been terribly uncomfortable but kept sleeping on the mattress in the hopes it would "break in". After 3 months I moved into my guest room because I couldn't sleep on the mattress. I went into the store to ask about returning on Memorial Day. I was told returns aren't done on Memorial Day but they would do the exchange the following day. So I came back in and worked with Richard. Not the guy I bought the bed from but the guy on duty who had helped me the previous day. He was professional and very helpful. I went in with low expectations regarding customer service on a mattress exchange and left a very happy customer. I credit this to Richard and Steve.
